Definitions
- the invention relates to a double-chamber infusion bag for a substance to be leached out by an infusion liquid, in particular tea, with two chambers lying side by side, each containing a quantity of substance, which are connected to one another via a transverse fold on the bottom and the head ends of which are attached to one another by a connection. to which a thread is attached with a label.
- the invention further relates to a method for producing, filling and closing such double-chamber infusion bags.
- Tea infusion bags are used in various forms.
- the use of double-chamber infusion bags has established itself, which have two adjacent, side-by-side chambers, each containing a quantity of dried and ground tea leaves.
- the two chambers are connected to one another at the bottom by a transverse fold, also called bottom fold, and are closed together at their head end by a connection to which a thread is attached with a label.
- a top seal rebate is usually formed in two steps, by folding the corners of the infusion bag in a first step and folding the trapezoidal part that remains at the tip in a second step, whereupon the folded parts are fastened by a locking clamp with simultaneous fastening one end of the thread to be connected.
- the double chamber infusion bag constructed in this way is made of a slightly permeable material which enables the infusion liquid to flow leach out the substance to be leached, especially the tea, and dissolve the substances contained therein. In particular, filter paper material is used for this.
- Such a double-chamber infusion bag is known from the German patent application 1 001 944.
- a uniformly moving filter paper web is bulged at its edges, the same quantum of the substance to be leached is applied to the fabric web at regular intervals and a continuous tube is formed by folding the longitudinal edges of the fabric web.
- a piece of the tube containing two substance quanta is then cut off and this piece is folded over, so that the transverse folding creates two chambers, each containing a substance quantum, which are placed side by side.
- a double-chamber infusion bag is known, the two chambers of which - unlike the embodiment described above - are sealed off from one another at the bottom fold.
- the two long sides are closed by two edge seals and the head end and the bottom end of each chamber by a profile end seal, the head seal having a convex profile, while the bottom seal is carried out with a concave profile to form lateral extensions, which by appropriate Fold a W-shaped bottom fold.
- two pairs of single-layer filter paper webs are made of heat-sealable filter paper material one above the other in order to form two tubular webs at the edges (edge seals) by means of longitudinal heat seals.
- tea portions are placed at spaced intervals on the bottom lane of each pair.
- the chambers are formed and sealed with transverse heat seals between the tea portions after the sealing of the longitudinal edges.
- the two tubular sheets are then cut with the chambers aligned with the existing cross seals to separate the pairs of chambers and the chambers are welded together at the lower extensions while their upper ends are still left unconnected.
- the two compartments forming the infusion bag are rotated 180 ° around one another so that the top ends of each pair of compartments can be brought together and sealed together.
- the thread is also attached to the top of the bag with a prepared heat seal or adhesive.
- the disadvantage here is that no leaching of the tea can take place over the bottom area of the chambers, since these are completely separated from one another by a heat seal.
- Those for leaching, i.e. The permeable bag areas available for the passage of liquid are greatly reduced by the all-round sealing.
- the method of production is technically complicated and complex, so that it is difficult to manufacture on a high-speed machine.
- the invention is based on the task , while avoiding the disadvantages mentioned, of developing a double-chamber infusion bag of the type described at the outset, in particular for tea, which meets all the requirements for successful leaching through large, permeable surfaces and a simple closure connection for simultaneous attachment of the label thread without a metal clip.
- the method for producing such an infusion bag according to the invention the task is to enable production on a high-speed machine, in particular with more than 500 pieces per minute.
- each chamber is closed by a transverse heat seal and are connected to one another by a further transverse heat seal, in which the thread is guided as a loop inside between the two chambers lying side by side and the label with at least one free, externally arranged thread end resulting from the loop formation, is preferably connected to both thread ends.
- the two strands of the thread loop are guided at a distance from one another through the transverse heat seal, the heat seal being carried out in such a way that at least one, preferably two channel-like, spaced-apart regions for thread passage remain free.
- the free thread ends can be connected to a label strip folded like a roof, the thread ends preferably being inserted into the fold of the label from the sides and fastened there, in particular are heat-sealed so that the roof surfaces of the label extending underneath remain free and can be placed in the manner of a rider on the head end of the bag with the thread loop inside.
- this is made from a heat-sealable fabric web, in particular filter paper web, which is wrapped or folded approximately in the center around its longitudinal axis and is shaped by means of a longitudinal edge seal to form a tube which is folded in two by an approximately central transverse fold connected chambers is divided, the head ends are closed by the transverse heat seal and are connected at the head end by a further transverse heat seal as a lock connection with an internal, pull-out thread loop.
- the finished double-chamber infusion bag has a longitudinal edge seal and transverse head seals on each chamber, while the other long side and the bottom are created by folding.
- the longitudinal edge seal is preferably folded inwards in order to keep the width of the double-chamber infusion bag smaller and to give the longitudinal seam an increase in strength through the folding, optical identity to known infusion bags and the same dimensions being achieved.
- the method according to the invention for producing, filling and closing the double-chamber infusion bags described above is based on an initially flat path of the bag material, in particular filter paper material, on which - if necessary after bulging their edges - positioned substance quanta of the substance to be leached are deposited at regular intervals, whereby then a continuous tube is formed from the web, from the tube pieces with two in a row in the direction of movement arranged substance quanta cut and divided by an approximately central transverse folding into two, each containing a substance quantum, placed side by side and the head ends are connected to each other by a connection to which a thread is attached with a label, whereby according to the invention
- the individual process steps above are carried out in parallel in several lanes.
- the flat web is widened to approximately four times the width of the bag to form a double tube.
- Two rows of substance quanta are positioned parallel and symmetrically at equal intervals on this wide, flat web and are then turned over by turning the longitudinal edges of the wide web inwards towards the longitudinal center until they come into contact with an abutment or overlap, and by means of a longitudinal heat seal of the longitudinal edges the double tube with two rows of substance quanta, ie one row of substance quanta per single tube, is formed with each other and with the corresponding part of the path underneath.
- the double tube is then separated into two individual tubes by a longitudinal cut in the central longitudinal heat seal and in a next process step, heat seals are carried out on the two individual tubes at intervals of two substance quanta in the transverse direction.
- the two individual tubes arranged next to one another are then cut at these transverse seals and the transverse folding for forming the bottom fold and the pouch chambers and the arrangement of the chambers side by side are then carried out in a manner known per se, the thread being inserted between the chambers in the form of a loop becomes.
- transverse seals are heat-sealed to one another on the head side in such a way that at least one, preferably the two strands of the thread loop project with their free ends on the outside and these are connected to one another by means of a roof-shaped folded label.
- the longitudinal edge seal is preferably folded upward so that it is positioned in the interior of the two chambers after the transverse folding.
- the two strands of the thread loop are preferably guided at a distance from one another through the transverse heat seal and the heat seal is carried out in such a way that two channel-like, spaced-apart regions for thread passage remain free.
- the free thread ends resulting from the loop formation are expediently inserted into the fold of the label from the sides and fastened there linearly by heat sealing to the label, the roof surfaces of the label extending underneath remaining free and in the manner of a rider on the transverse heat sealing of the bag with the thread loop on the inside.
- the double chamber infusion bag 1 shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing has two, side by side adjacent chambers 2 and 3, which are connected to each other at the bottom 4 via a W-shaped transverse fold 5 and each have a predetermined quantity of substance to be leached out by an infusion liquid , especially tea.
- the two chambers 2 and 3 are closed at their head end 6 by a heat seal 7 and 8 running in the transverse direction.
- a thread 10 is inserted in a meandering shape, on the free ends 12, 13 of which a label 11 is attached on the outside.
- the thread 10 arranged in a meandering manner in the interior 9 between the two chambers 2 and 3 consequently forms at least one, in the exemplary embodiment a plurality of loops 14, which make it possible to "hide" its entire length in the packed state between the two chambers.
- transverse heat seal 15 which is shown hatched in Fig. 1 of the drawing and is created in an additional process step after the head ends 6 of the chambers, which have already been provided with the transverse heat seals 7 and 8, are placed mechanically against one another have been.
- the transverse heat seal 15 is carried out in such a way that two channel-like, Areas 16, 17 spaced apart from one another remain free for thread passage.
- this is made from a roof-like folded label strip, the shape of which can be seen in FIG. 2 of the drawing.
- the thread ends 12 and 13 are inserted into the fold of the label 11 from the sides and fastened there by heat sealing.
- the roof surfaces of the label 11 which extend under the heat seal remain free and can be placed in the manner of a rider on the head end 6 of the bag with the thread loop 14 on the inside, as shown in FIG. 1 of the drawing.
- the user can then easily move the tab, i.e. pull the label 11 off the bag 1 and pull the thread out of the interior 9 through the channel-like areas 16 and 17 until the loop 14 comes to rest on the central area of the transverse heat seal 15.
- a suspension eyelet 18 is formed, which can be hung by the user of the bag 1, for example over the spout of the teapot, so that the bag 1 suspended in the teapot is perfectly accessible to leaching through the water from all sides.
- a longitudinal edge seal 19 is provided on the left-hand side, which results from the manufacturing process, which follows below using the example of a two-tier manufacturing with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6 is described in more detail.
- An essential characteristic of the bag in the embodiment according to FIG. 3 also results from the fact that the longitudinal edge 20 on the right in the drawing consists of a longitudinal fold of the material strip on which the manufacture is based.
- the starting point of the method for producing, filling and closing double-chamber infusion bags 1 according to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3, 5 and 6 of the drawing is a heat-sealable filter paper web 21, which is used to form a double hose to about four times Bag width B is widened.
- a tube is then produced from the filter paper web 21 by folding the longitudinal edges over a shaped piece, not shown, by turning the longitudinal edges inwards towards the longitudinal center until they touch or slightly overlap.
- the longitudinal edges are connected to one another and to the corresponding corresponding part of the filter paper web 21 by means of heat-sealing rollers 25, and a central longitudinal heat seal 26 of approximately 10 mm width is produced.
- a double tube which is then cut by a slitter 27 into two single tubes 28, 29 by performing a longitudinal cut in the central longitudinal heat seal 26.
- the longitudinal section results in a longitudinal edge seal 19 on each double-chamber bag that is finished later, and by folding the edges of the underlying filter paper web 21 inwards, the longitudinal fold 20 on the other side of the bag, as shown in FIG. 3 of the drawing.
- the longitudinal edge seal 19 is folded inwards, as the dashed line shows.
- the tea bag is therefore smaller in width, the longitudinal seam being increased in strength by the folding.
- Identity to known infusion bags of the same dimensions is achieved optically.
- a Einfalter 40 is provided for this.
- the pieces of tubing used to form the double-chamber infusion bags are dimensioned and pre-shaped so that after a side-by-side laying of the tubing forming the chambers described below, their head ends 6 are brought to coincide with one another in order to perform a closure connection of the chambers to one another can. Before that, however, it is still necessary to lay out a thread for the label attachment and the production of a W-shaped bottom fold.
- a device 33 for laying out and cutting the thread 10 in the longitudinal direction is arranged, which cooperates with a device 34 for forming the W-shaped bottom fold 5.
- This has a folding sword 35 for each of the individual tubes 28 and 29, which, by moving downward, presses the tube pieces into a die arranged underneath, thereby placing the tube parts containing the substance quanta 24 side by side and the W-shaped bottom fold 5 as a transverse fold trains.
- the two chambers of each piece of hose are already side by side and the head ends of the chambers are adjacent to one another.
- With mutually movable mold jaws 36 the head ends 6 of the chambers, including the thread located in the interior 9, are clamped together and held for the further process steps.
- a cross-sealing of the head ends 6 of the two chambers is then carried out with a plier-like tool 37, this heat sealing being carried out in such a way that the two channel-like, spaced-apart regions 16 and 17 remain free for thread passage.
- Thread 10 is therefore freely movable and not sealed in and can be pulled outwards.
- the subsequent device 38 for attaching the label 11 to the thread 10 there is first a roof-shaped folding of the label strip and then an introduction of the two thread ends from the sides into the folding of the label so that they are attached there by heat sealing in such a way can be carried out that the roof surfaces of the label 11 extending underneath remain free and can be placed on the bag head in the manner of a tab.
- two double-chamber infusion bags are finished in two-lane processing, which can be fed side by side to a carton filling.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a double-chamber infusion bag for a substance to be leached out by an infusion liquid, in particular tea, with two chambers lying side by side, each containing a quantity of substance, which are connected to one another via a transverse fold on the bottom and the head ends of which are attached to one another by a connection. to which a thread is attached with a label. The invention further relates to a method for producing, filling and closing such double-chamber infusion bags.
Tea infusion bags are used in various forms. In particular, the use of double-chamber infusion bags has established itself, which have two adjacent, side-by-side chambers, each containing a quantity of dried and ground tea leaves. The two chambers are connected to one another at the bottom by a transverse fold, also called bottom fold, and are closed together at their head end by a connection to which a thread is attached with a label. For this purpose, a top seal rebate is usually formed in two steps, by folding the corners of the infusion bag in a first step and folding the trapezoidal part that remains at the tip in a second step, whereupon the folded parts are fastened by a locking clamp with simultaneous fastening one end of the thread to be connected. The double chamber infusion bag constructed in this way is made of a slightly permeable material which enables the infusion liquid to flow leach out the substance to be leached, especially the tea, and dissolve the substances contained therein. In particular, filter paper material is used for this.
Such a double-chamber infusion bag is known from the
From DE 691 00 244 T2 a double-chamber infusion bag is known, the two chambers of which - unlike the embodiment described above - are sealed off from one another at the bottom fold. For this purpose, the two long sides are closed by two edge seals and the head end and the bottom end of each chamber by a profile end seal, the head seal having a convex profile, while the bottom seal is carried out with a concave profile to form lateral extensions, which by appropriate Fold a W-shaped bottom fold. In the process for producing such a double-chamber infusion bag, two pairs of single-layer filter paper webs, for a total of four webs, are made of heat-sealable filter paper material one above the other in order to form two tubular webs at the edges (edge seals) by means of longitudinal heat seals. Before that, tea portions are placed at spaced intervals on the bottom lane of each pair. The chambers are formed and sealed with transverse heat seals between the tea portions after the sealing of the longitudinal edges. The two tubular sheets are then cut with the chambers aligned with the existing cross seals to separate the pairs of chambers and the chambers are welded together at the lower extensions while their upper ends are still left unconnected.
Finally, the two compartments forming the infusion bag are rotated 180 ° around one another so that the top ends of each pair of compartments can be brought together and sealed together. The thread is also attached to the top of the bag with a prepared heat seal or adhesive. The disadvantage here is that no leaching of the tea can take place over the bottom area of the chambers, since these are completely separated from one another by a heat seal. Those for leaching, i.e. The permeable bag areas available for the passage of liquid are greatly reduced by the all-round sealing. In addition, the method of production is technically complicated and complex, so that it is difficult to manufacture on a high-speed machine.
Also in the tea infusion bag described in
In view of this prior art, the invention is based on the task , while avoiding the disadvantages mentioned, of developing a double-chamber infusion bag of the type described at the outset, in particular for tea, which meets all the requirements for successful leaching through large, permeable surfaces and a simple closure connection for simultaneous attachment of the label thread without a metal clip. The method for producing such an infusion bag according to the invention the task is to enable production on a high-speed machine, in particular with more than 500 pieces per minute.
The object is achieved in that the head ends of each chamber are closed by a transverse heat seal and are connected to one another by a further transverse heat seal, in which the thread is guided as a loop inside between the two chambers lying side by side and the label with at least one free, externally arranged thread end resulting from the loop formation, is preferably connected to both thread ends. These measures both ensure successful leaching on a double-chamber infusion bag with chambers connected to one another via the transverse fold on the bottom, and also create a technically simple closure connection of the chambers at the head end with a surprisingly practical thread fastening. Due to the internal arrangement of the thread as a loop between the two chambers of the double-chamber infusion bag, any disruptive influence of the thread on the further processing and packaging processes is avoided and easy handling by the user is provided, who pulls the label to form the loop-shaped thread can be exposed and used as a hanger for the double chamber infusion bag.
Advantageously, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the two strands of the thread loop are guided at a distance from one another through the transverse heat seal, the heat seal being carried out in such a way that at least one, preferably two channel-like, spaced-apart regions for thread passage remain free. This provides an extremely compact, self-contained and therefore easy to handle bag unit, in which the thread loop is completely housed in the interior between the two chambers and can be pulled out by pulling the label, in the preferred embodiment, a closed suspension eyelet for the bag is formed. The free thread ends can be connected to a label strip folded like a roof, the thread ends preferably being inserted into the fold of the label from the sides and fastened there, in particular are heat-sealed so that the roof surfaces of the label extending underneath remain free and can be placed in the manner of a rider on the head end of the bag with the thread loop inside. In order to make the pulling out trouble-free, it is expedient to place the thread loop in a meandering shape in the interior between the two chambers.
In a preferred embodiment of the double-chamber infusion bag according to the invention, this is made from a heat-sealable fabric web, in particular filter paper web, which is wrapped or folded approximately in the center around its longitudinal axis and is shaped by means of a longitudinal edge seal to form a tube which is folded in two by an approximately central transverse fold connected chambers is divided, the head ends are closed by the transverse heat seal and are connected at the head end by a further transverse heat seal as a lock connection with an internal, pull-out thread loop. In this embodiment, the finished double-chamber infusion bag has a longitudinal edge seal and transverse head seals on each chamber, while the other long side and the bottom are created by folding. With a bag shape of this type, a high machine cycle number of more than 500 cycles per minute can be achieved in a multi-lane, in particular double-lane, procedure and the filter paper use is reduced by approximately 20 percent in comparison to the previous bag shape.
The longitudinal edge seal is preferably folded inwards in order to keep the width of the double-chamber infusion bag smaller and to give the longitudinal seam an increase in strength through the folding, optical identity to known infusion bags and the same dimensions being achieved.
The method according to the invention for producing, filling and closing the double-chamber infusion bags described above is based on an initially flat path of the bag material, in particular filter paper material, on which - if necessary after bulging their edges - positioned substance quanta of the substance to be leached are deposited at regular intervals, whereby then a continuous tube is formed from the web, from the tube pieces with two in a row in the direction of movement arranged substance quanta cut and divided by an approximately central transverse folding into two, each containing a substance quantum, placed side by side and the head ends are connected to each other by a connection to which a thread is attached with a label, whereby according to the invention The individual process steps above are carried out in parallel in several lanes.
It is preferably carried out in two lanes and the flat web is widened to approximately four times the width of the bag to form a double tube. Two rows of substance quanta are positioned parallel and symmetrically at equal intervals on this wide, flat web and are then turned over by turning the longitudinal edges of the wide web inwards towards the longitudinal center until they come into contact with an abutment or overlap, and by means of a longitudinal heat seal of the longitudinal edges the double tube with two rows of substance quanta, ie one row of substance quanta per single tube, is formed with each other and with the corresponding part of the path underneath. The double tube is then separated into two individual tubes by a longitudinal cut in the central longitudinal heat seal and in a next process step, heat seals are carried out on the two individual tubes at intervals of two substance quanta in the transverse direction. The two individual tubes arranged next to one another are then cut at these transverse seals and the transverse folding for forming the bottom fold and the pouch chambers and the arrangement of the chambers side by side are then carried out in a manner known per se, the thread being inserted between the chambers in the form of a loop becomes. Finally, the transverse seals are heat-sealed to one another on the head side in such a way that at least one, preferably the two strands of the thread loop project with their free ends on the outside and these are connected to one another by means of a roof-shaped folded label.
Before the transverse folding method step, the longitudinal edge seal is preferably folded upward so that it is positioned in the interior of the two chambers after the transverse folding.
The two strands of the thread loop are preferably guided at a distance from one another through the transverse heat seal and the heat seal is carried out in such a way that two channel-like, spaced-apart regions for thread passage remain free. The free thread ends resulting from the loop formation are expediently inserted into the fold of the label from the sides and fastened there linearly by heat sealing to the label, the roof surfaces of the label extending underneath remaining free and in the manner of a rider on the transverse heat sealing of the bag with the thread loop on the inside.
In general, it should be noted that instead of the heat seals, adhesive processes can be used in an equivalent manner, where this can be expedient depending on the materials, production processes and machines to be used.

8 verschlossen. The double
In order to complete the double-
In order to enable a simple connection to the
In the embodiment of a tea bag shown in FIG. 3 of the drawing, in contrast to the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, a
The starting point of the method for producing, filling and closing double-
In a preferred embodiment of a double-chamber
In the direction of travel behind the
In the running direction behind the described device for cutting off tube pieces with the
A cross-sealing of the head ends 6 of the two chambers is then carried out with a plier-
In the
