Abstract

The invention concerns a vehicle antenna arrangement and an auxiliary vehicle-mounted antenna enabling a further antenna system (55) to be adapted to a vehicle antenna (2). The further antenna system (55) is accomodated in a housing (50) which is mounted on a mounting plate (35). The mounting plate (35) comprises a recess (40) and is mounted on a vehicle bodywork (1). In the region of the recess (40), the vehicle bodywork (1) has an aperture through which a tube (15) is guided, the tube being connected to a base plate (10) and the antenna base (5) of a vehicle antenna (2) mounted thereon. The base plate (10) rests on the mounting plate (35) via blocks (80). Two antenna cables (25) and (26) are guided through the tube (15) to the antenna base (5). A further antenna cable (45) emerges from the tube (15) through a lateral opening (30) between the vehicle bodywork (1) and the base plate (10), the spacing (90) between the vehicle bodywork (1) and the base plate (10) being larger than the diameter of the further antenna cable (45). The further antenna cable (45) is guided via the recess (40) along the mounting plate (35) and passes through an opening (49) in the housing (50) to the further antenna system (55) to which it is connected. In order to adapt the further antenna system (55) to the vehicle antenna (2), the mounting plate (35) merely has to be connected via the tube (15) to the vehicle antenna (2) and the vehicle bodywork (1). To that end, the tube (15) comprises inside the vehicle bodywork (1) an external thread (70) onto which a nut (75) can be screwed.

Zeichnungdrawing

An embodiment of the invention is in the drawing shown and in the following description explained. 1 shows a vertical section through a Vehicle antenna arrangement consisting of a vehicle antenna and a vehicle auxiliary antenna and Figure 2 die Vehicle antenna arrangement in supervision.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

In Figure 1, 1 denotes a vehicle body. The Vehicle body has an opening 20 through which one Tube 15 is guided with a circular cross section. The tube 15 is outside the vehicle body 1 through a base plate 10 with which it forms a structural unit. On the Base plate 10 is the antenna base 5 of a vehicle antenna 2 appropriate. The tube 15, the base plate 10 and the antenna base 5 can for example consist of a single casting. The tube 15 has inside the vehicle body 1 Male thread 70 on. Via one on the external thread 70 screwable nut 75, the vehicle antenna 2 on the Fasten vehicle body 1. A first and a second Antenna cables 25 and 26 are the antenna base 5 through the tube 15 fed. The first antenna cable 25 is used for example radio reception and the second antenna cable 26 is intended for example for mobile radio. In this case would the vehicle antenna 2 for radio reception and for mobile used. On its side facing the vehicle body 1 has the base plate 10 knobs 80, which on a between the base plate 10 and the vehicle body 1 the attached mounting plate 35. The holding plate 35 belongs to an additional vehicle antenna, which is another Antenna system 55, for example for the reception of GPS signals, contains. The further antenna system 55 is included housed in a housing 50, which with the holding plate 35th is connected for example by screwing. Within of the housing 50 is a holder 85 with the holding plate 35 connected. The antenna system 55 is on the holder 85 attached. It consists of an antenna plate 59, which in a dielectric 58 is inserted, and over one Contact pin 57 with also on the bracket attached circuit board 56 is connected. On another antenna cable 45 leads from the inside of the Vehicle body 1 into the tube 15 and leaves the tube 15 through a side opening 30 outside the Vehicle body 1 at the level of the holding plate 35. The The diameter of the further antenna cable 45 is smaller than the distance 90 between the base plate 10 and the Vehicle body 1. The distance 90 between the Base plate 10 and the vehicle body 1 settles together from the height of the knobs 80 and the thickness of the Retaining plate 35. The lateral opening 30 of the tube 15 is on the side facing away from the housing 50 Tube 15. There, the holding plate 35 has a recess 40 in which the further antenna cable 45 is laid. In Figure 2 the recess 40 is shown in plan view. She points a square-shaped part 41 for receiving the tube 15 and an access 42 at the side opening 30 of the tube 15 for receiving the other out of the tube 15 Antenna cable 45 on. On the side facing away from the housing 50 Side of the tube 15 has the holding plate 35 symmetrically Section plane of the vertical section from Figure 1 two Support surfaces 81 for the support of knobs 80 of Base plate 10 on. The same applies to two contact surfaces 82 on the side of the recess 40 facing the housing 50. For reasons of clarity, Figures 1 and 2 are not congruent. In Figure 2 it can be seen that the Housing 50 a circular and the antenna base 5 one have an oval cross-section. The holding plate 35 forms the Base of the housing 50 and protrudes on the antenna base 5 facing side of the housing 50 under the housing 50 forth with a width that is smaller than the diameter of the Base area of the housing 50 and also smaller than the width the base plate 10. Also on the housing 50 the holding plate 35 remains on the opposite side of the tube 15 within the dimensions of the base plate 10. Due to the recess 40 described above, which from the access 42 and which consists of the square-shaped part 41, that forms Retaining plate 35 in the region of the tube 15 two legs 36 include tube 15. The further antenna cable 45 leaves the tube 15 through the side opening 30 is through the Access 42 of the recess 40 is guided and runs then lying along the vehicle body 1 the holding plate 35 between the outer edge of the holding plate 35 and the outer edge of the base plate 10 until it due to the oval shape of the base plate 10 emerges from this and through an opening 49 of the housing 50 into the housing 50 is guided and there through an opening 86 of the holder 85 reaches the circuit board 56 to which it is connected. The connection to the antenna plate 59 is then made the contact pin 57. To protect against the weather The opening 49 of the housing 50 can also be sealed. The housing 50 is a formwork 60 with the Antenna base 5 connected. The formwork 60 lies there tangential to the base of the housing 50 and Base plate 10 on the vehicle body 1, so that the between the antenna base 5 and housing 50 part of the further antenna cable 45 and the retaining plate 35 within the formwork 60 lies and so against the weather is protected. There is also a sealing pad 65 provided that around the antenna base 5, the casing 60 and the housing 50 is guided and on the vehicle body 1 rests.

The described invention enables this in a simple manner Retrofitting a GPS antenna, for example, by adaptation to an existing vehicle antenna 2. First, only the Vehicle antenna 2 through to the external thread 70 screwed nut 75 with the vehicle body 1 non-positively connected, the knobs 80 by their Support on the vehicle body 1 for a defined Ensure ground contact. For retrofitting with the GPS antenna the vehicle antenna 2 by loosening the nut 75 from the Vehicle body removed. Then the housing 50 with the holding plate 35 onto the vehicle body 1 imposed that the recess 40 over the opening 20 of the Vehicle body 1 lies. Then the next one Antenna cable 45 in the manner described along the Retaining plate 35 out to the recess 40 and from there in the lateral opening 30 of the tube 15 is inserted. Then the tube 15 over the recess 40 again inserted through the opening 20 of the vehicle body 1 and by screwing the nut 75 onto the external thread 70 the vehicle antenna 2, the bracket 35 and the Vehicle body 1 non-positively connected. The further antenna cable 45 then only has to be inside Vehicle body 1 to the corresponding receiver managed and connected there. Finally there will be the housing 50 with the antenna base 5 through the casing 60 connected and the sealing pad 65 around the antenna base 5, the casing 60 and the housing 50 guided so that the Vehicle antenna 2, the auxiliary vehicle antenna and the Breakthrough 20 of the vehicle body 1 effective before Weather influences are protected.
