Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning a Printing press cylinder surface, or also a cylinder lift or a film according to the preambles of main and secondary claims.

In printing presses it is customary to have rollers or cylinders with soiling to wet a cleaning fluid and thereby detach the dirt. As Cleaning fluids are water, preferably hydrocarbon solvents as well as vegetable detergents in use. To remove this contamination Washing devices are known, such as from EP 0 419 289 A2 or EP 0 414 909 B1. These washing devices are used to remove dirt that are often formed by paper dust and printing ink.

For example from DE 4 207 119 A1 or DE 4 230 567 A1, lateral surfaces are included Surface structures in printing press cylinders, especially impression cylinders known that tend to contaminate due to their structure. The pollution settle in the structure valleys and often consist of residues of Paper dust and hardened ink residues that occur during the regular washing process can no longer be eliminated with conventional washing devices.

Failure to remove these cured residues will adversely affect the Print quality, especially for perfecting. The result is that the Cylinder lift or the film must be changed. If necessary, a Printing press cylinders with hardened printing ink can even be exchanged for what is necessarily very expensive.

From CH-A-438 381 is a cleaning method for cleaning the smooth Surface of a wiping cylinder known. The rotating wiping cylinder will here immersed in a tub of cleaning fluid from brushes mechanically cleaned and when emerging from the in the tub cleaned cleaning liquid cleaned by a squeegee. Yet adhering residues of impurities are removed by means of cold or warm Removed water that emerges from a spray nozzle system.

According to EP 0 004 605 A1 is a washing device for washing Cylinders known, the washing rollers to the surface of a Printing press cylinder can be turned on and off and in the area of a Cylinder channel can be brought out of contact.

The object of the invention is a method and an apparatus for cleaning a Printing press cylinder surface or a cylinder lift or a film of strong adhering dirt, such as paper dust and hardened printing inks develop that clean surface structures with structural valleys sufficiently.

This is solved by the training features of claims 1 and 9.

The advantage of the method is that depending on the degree of contamination, cleaning in the Regular cleaning process can be integrated or even with a particularly strong one Contamination can occur when the press is at a standstill.
