Definitions
- the invention relates to the use of an insert with at least three areas for Combustion of the fuels gas, oil or / and solid with one Solid particle size of substantially less than 1 mm in a gas and watertight boiler system with a burner, which is followed by the insert is. Furthermore, the invention relates to a boiler system with that Use and a method for tuning a burner on the boiler system and procedures for starting and operating the Boiler system.
- Boiler plants such as reactors, incinerators and Post-combustion systems or such as domestic water heaters, heating systems, also with integrated hot water heating, consist mainly of one Boiler, a burner in front of a combustion chamber and a fireplace.
- the boiler has mostly the function that z. B. needed for heating in the building To heat and provide hot water.
- the fuel is used for good combustion intensely with air or / and another fluid containing oxygen mixed and in a sensitive, optimized setting of the combustion fed.
- Old boiler and especially heating systems are designed too large in relation to the power requirement and are therefore operated with excessive power.
- the combustion chamber geometry requires a large excess of air of more than 5% O 2 in order to keep the exhaust gas loss with the soot number at the extreme limit of the 1st Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BimSchV), which is always associated with very high pollutant emissions and therefore very low heat transfer performance.
- BimSchV 1st Federal Immission Control Ordinance
- the burner failure rate should be kept as low as possible;
- a certain degree of air supersaturation increases the exhaust gas losses, but causes fewer disturbances than air undersaturation, which immediately leads to heavy soot formation and thus to a disturbance in the burner.
- the so-called rocket burner a blue burner, is in the prospectus "Raketenbrenner® RE1, assembly - operation - maintenance” from MAN B&W Diesel AG from September 1994. It becomes the recirculation principle around and in the burner tube and a high flame speed due to high Oil pressure and high air flow rate used.
- the burner tube is made of ceramic cylindrical or cylindrical with a conical taper in in the middle and has a series of openings in the middle Recirculation of the flue gas. It achieves favorable exhaust gas values, but it can because of the required high flame speed only at high Oil pressure of mostly more than 14 bar can be used.
- the hereby associated high oil throughput is disadvantageous; the correspondingly high Air consumption leads to a lot of noise.
- the rocket burner cannot be used in systems in which the Minimum exhaust gas temperature of 160 ° C according to DIN 4702 even when used a secondary air system is not reached, in particular not in old systems.
- Recirculation hoods are used in some boiler burner units. Their design must be precisely matched to the combination of boiler and burner and only cause a slight reduction in NO x through exhaust gas recirculation, because only small amounts of flue gas can be used to cool the flame. This results in a poorer heat transfer performance when exchanging heat and thus in turn a higher mileage with high energy consumption of the burner.
- the expensive metallic heater insert shows even at the lowest setting the burner has a very short lifespan because it is high Can not withstand temperatures, quickly burns out, scales and turns deformed. With such changes in the metallic heating insert takes the performance continuously to a soot-producing insulating hollow body.
- the state of the art in all heating systems is in the starting phase Pollution over about 30 to 60 seconds, usually around 100 to 300 times higher than in normal operation following the start phase.
- the starting phase usually lasts about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Stable conditions for the Mass gas flow is reached in 1 to 1 1/2 minutes from ignition.
- GB-A 2 077 902 teaches use in a boiler system in which a cylindrical Pipe section is connected to a disk with an inlet or outlet opening and where this insert is located behind a burner.
- US-A-3,169,369 describes a gas turbine with a stepped interior Shell.
- CH-A5-685 644 protects a flame tube for a burner in which the tube has a cylindrical and has a conical section.
- the invention is based, to use for use in new or To propose boiler systems and in particular heating systems in which the Boiler system equipped or retrofitted and then adjusted can be that with significantly reduced fuel consumption higher Power yields can be achieved while reducing emissions and the system behaves better than one in start-up and operating behavior new, state-of-the-art boiler system.
- the said use is intended for as many types and sizes of boilers and burners can be adapted and a long-term, safe, Enable low-service and user-friendly operation.
- a gastight and watertight a burner and an insert equipped boiler system, a method to match the burner to the boiler system and method for Start and to operate this boiler system specify the above Have advantages.
- the boiler system should be adapted and designed as required for use over at least 20 years, as well as operational safety and Low maintenance.
- the task is solved by using an insert with at least three Areas for. Combustion of gas, oil and / or solid fuels with a Interior is free of lamellas, which is the formation of a comparatively narrow affect long flame.
- the task solved according to the invention in which the tube of the burner and the downstream Insert are made in one piece or in several parts, with between the pipe section and the insert section at least one suction opening is inserted and the insert section is free of lamellae inside the Impair formation of a comparatively narrow long flame, and has at least three areas, one being tubular Acceleration range with an expanding deceleration range Injection openings and a tubular evaporation area with a larger one Connect cross-sectional area as in the acceleration area.
- the task is also carried out with a gas and watertight boiler system a burner and an insert for burning the fuels gas, oil or / and solid with a particle size of substantially solved less than 1 mm, used in the said application becomes.
- the task is finally completed with a process for operating a gas and gas waterproof boiler system solved with a mixture of a Oxygen-containing fluid and the fuel gas, oil and / or solid with a solid particle size of substantially less than 1 mm above a burner and a downstream insert is operated, the Mixture through a pipe of the burner and a downstream insert or through corresponding sections of one together with a corresponding one Pipe one-piece or multi-piece insert guided and here is burned incompletely, redirected to the walls of the combustion chamber, partially through suction opening (s) / inlet opening and injection openings in use in the Flame is injected and burned intensely, making a comparative narrow long flame is generated.

They are preferably regularly on the outer surface arranged, in particular in at least one row, on a surface is perpendicular to the center line of the insert. If the insert is circular Having cross sections, it is particularly advantageous that the openings within each row arranged equidistant and of the same opening cross section and are of the same shape to ensure uniform recirculation from all sides around and to effect in the flame. In particular, a recirculation is favorable in which the openings are perpendicular to the center line.
- the injection openings are preferably bores from 4 to 80 mm Diameter, in particular from 10 to 50 mm.

- a forced draft burner is used as the burner. But it can e.g. B. also an atmospheric burner according to the invention be operated when the air movement concentrates on the application and the Flames are passed through the insert and if possible brought together.
- the reduction in air supply and pressure is on the normal setting of the burner based on the system according to the prior art.
- the coordination of the burner to the boiler system is from Minimum throughput of the burner is limited, i.e. the ratio of the smallest possible amount of air to the smallest possible amount of fuel that allows an optimal combustion, and therefore often can not according to the Design of the boiler system.
- the pressure is reduced by reducing the air supply to the burner achieved by adjusting the baffle plate or the nozzle assembly.
- the Pressing the oil-air mixture can be increased by the Nozzle block with screwed-on baffle plate in the direction of flow towards the front or moved into a tapered tube at the back and fixed. With yourself the free cross-section of the Outlet opening of the pipe is reduced.
- the air gets a stronger swirl pressed through the openings of the baffle plate and can be more oil mist in itself bind, which results in optimal saturation of the air / oil mixture. at Systems without the use mentioned come about when using the maximum possible pressure therefore easy to tear off the flame.
- use of the insert causes a steady speed the gas masses circulating around the application.
- the solutions for increasing the pressure differ depending on the burner.
- the increase in pressure is more intensive in oil-fired systems Mixing of the oil mist with the fresh air connected without this Air ratio ⁇ > 1.15 is required.
- the air supply can then be reduced by at least 50 % compared to the setting according to the prior art, because less fresh air is required to the combustion chamber due to the recirculation to fill.
- the optimum burner setting could Fuel can be saved if this does not necessarily mean one Susceptibility to failure would be associated with tearing off the flame and soot formation.
- equipping / retrofitting a heating system according to the state of the Technology with an insert according to the invention is at least 25% Fuel through the optimal implementation of the energy supplied, i.e. through Combustion without carbon monoxide emissions and with optimal air excess the air ratio ⁇ ⁇ 1.15 is reached. It also saves fuel of at least 10% when equipping / retrofitting a boiler system saved the increase in annual efficiency, d. H. the adjustment of the System to the actually required energy requirement is achieved.
- the relatively high exit velocity of the air from the The flame tube / burner tube causes the air masses before the ignition can also be set in motion around the mission.
- the Suction opening (s) / inlet opening and the injection openings cause the Recirculated air enters, partially perpendicular to the airflow that the Air speed in the different flow areas in one brings constant state. Until the air enters the Evaporation area is the flow rate in the Delay range reduced. With this effect, a high filling of the Combustion chamber reached and even air movement in the said use for the following problem free flame formation given. If the arc or spark spark the oil mist or that ignites gas-carrying air mixture, a flame lance forms just behind the Flame tube end through the use in the combustion chamber. With a burner tube the flame lance already forms from the middle of the burner tube.
- the ignition can be very quiet, soft and without the usual deflagration bang and a high Operational safety of the heating system can be brought about under all circumstances, because a low fuel concentration with a reduced air supply only an ignitable, but not a deflagrable mixture enables, especially the gas masses in the ignition are already in a stable flow are located.
- the Recirculating gases are released through the suction opening (s) / inlet opening and through the most perpendicular to the flame core Injection ports sucked in. Through those injected into the core of the flame Gases are almost completely burned in the recirculating Gas masses contained, still oxidizable substances and cooling the Flame and use. The hydrocarbons and still contained therein the remaining carbon monoxide are oxidized without the low content of Nitrogen oxides is increased.
- the ceramic inserts are due to the Material properties and the manufacturing process preferably with one Wall thickness of 3 to 16 mm, particularly preferably made with 3.5 to 6 mm and can align the injected airflow more quickly than that usually significantly thinner-walled metallic inserts.
- the gas masses surrounding the core of the flame are Use accelerated from the end of the flame tube / burner tube before the widening delay range and braking the gas masses reached becomes.
- the opening delay area is on its circumferential surface a certain number of spaced, usually same size and as perpendicular to the center line as possible Provide injection openings. Through these injection openings sucked back gases at a relatively high speed radially from the outside led through the use of flowing gas masses.
- the storm stability of the flame is excellent. Burnout takes place with a longer flame, more complete combustion and lower pollutant emissions.
- the carbon dioxide content in the flue gas increases in the process according to the invention to about 14%
- the exhaust gas temperature is about 40 to 60 ° C when retrofitting old systems and about 20 ° C in new systems lower than in comparison to the operation according to the prior art Technology.
- the burner runtime should be at least 2000 hours for optimum annual utilization with minimum energy consumption, which comes close to a needs-adjusted, gliding system.
- the burner When retrofitting heating systems according to the state of the art with in the case of said use, the burner is to be throttled in its performance, by reducing the oil or gas pressure and the back pressure before Baffle plate (pressing) and the fresh air volume of the new power and thus adapted to the significantly reduced fuel supply and always is greatly reduced.
- the volume flow of the Fuel measured in kilograms per hour, by about 35 to 50% reduced compared to the actual burner output.
- the burner output in a first step reduced by about 40% compared to the actual burner output, but not less than 50% of the nominal boiler output; the The minimum throughput of the burner for fuel must also not be undercut become. This type of setting is less sensitive to influences in the real continuous operation and therefore more durable than according to the state of the art.
- the reduction in output must be adjusted individually. With actual burner output, the Performance referred to under normal conditions at one after the State of the art set burner is achieved.
- Said use can be used in all types of heating systems with a gas and watertight boiler in connection with a burner for liquid or gaseous fuel in order to improve the emission behavior while at the same time saving energy. It can be used to equip both new systems and old systems that do not meet the values of, for example, the 1st BlmSchV and TA Lucas, can be retrofitted inexpensively and effectively. In the case of new plants, it is found that, contrary to the opinion of the experts, the use of said insert results in a significant increase in the power conversion of the energy supplied of about 25 to 50% and that, despite this power conversion, the CO emissions of about 30 to 70 ppm CO Zero and NO x emissions can also be reduced at the same time. The flue gas measurements were made in the measuring opening of the flue gas pipe in the system.
- Table 1 shows the legislative requirements in Germany and trends in emissions reduction and energy saving.
- Exhaust gas loss is understood to be the loss of unused heat that occurs in the event of unfavorable combustion due to the formation of CO, soot and oil coke. According to the 1st BimSchV, it is derived from the measured value of the CO 2 or O 2 content in the exhaust gas.
- the soot number indicates the quality of combustion: the better the combustion, the less soot is formed and the lower the soot number.
- ⁇ F the firing efficiency, which takes the exhaust gas losses into account
- ⁇ the lambda value also referred to as the air ratio
- the exhaust gas loss is derived 100% from the difference in the combustion efficiency.
- the measured values of O 2 , CO 2 and ⁇ - measured in the exhaust gas of the flue gas pipe - are relatively strictly proportional or inversely proportional to one another.
- the boiler temperature was read on the boiler thermometer, the exhaust gas temperature in the measuring opening of the flue pipe.
- the fine draft characterizes the flow velocity of the gas masses from the boiler to the chimney, values around -0.05 being very cheap and around -0.10 cheap.
- the time to heat the heat-absorbing heating water by e.g. B. 10 ° C is a measure of the heat transfer performance.
- the values for ⁇ F and CO 2 should in particular be as high as possible and for ⁇ , exhaust gas temperature, heating-up time, O 2 , CO, NO and NO x as low as possible.
- the number of soot was not yet zero in example B. 3, because driving was too high, but is optimal in B. 4. Oil droplets were never found in the exhaust gas.
- the power conversion and fuel savings can be derived from the heating power supplied in connection with the heating-up time and indirectly from the exhaust gas analysis values. The smaller the amount of energy supplied with the same heating time, the better the fuel used is converted into thermal energy.
- the burner for test 4 was matched to the heating system according to the invention with said use.
- the heating output was reduced from 20.8 to 11 kW and the oil consumption from 1.95 to 1.05 kg / h by 46%.
- the system could even have been operated with a lower heating output if burners with an output of less than 1.0 kg / h were produced.
- Oil spray nozzle and oil pressure have been adjusted accordingly. These measures significantly reduced the emissions of CO, NO and NO x as well as the exhaust gas loss and the exhaust gas temperature, while the heating-up time increased by only 15 seconds despite the drastic reduction in oil consumption.
- the setting for example 4 represents the optimum within this series of tests and was then left for comparative examples 5 and 6 with the cutting insert from Schneidawind technology or without any heating insert.
- the insert according to the invention used for these tests had the following dimensions and openings compared to the heating insert from Schneidawind technology used in parallel: Indicator of the insert or heating insert used for the experiments in Table 2. said use Heating insert from Schneidawind-T.
- Burner Intercal SLV 10, 1.1-3.5 kg / h, built in 1994.
- Oil atomizing nozzle Fluidics with 45 °.
- Gas analyzer MRU 89.5 VARIO, version 3.01. Settings: CO 2 max. 15.4%, O 2 reference: 3%.
- Fuel heating oil EL.
- injection openings are not arranged on the outer surface of the delay area, but in the front to middle part of the evaporation area, increased CO and lower CO 2 emissions occur, the flame burns very uneasily and the heat transfer drops.
- the flame hits the walls of the acceleration area and forms CO and soot.

Description
- die dem Kessel zugeführte Leistung des Brenners, bezogen auf die Nennleistung eines nach dem Stand der Technik ausgelegten Kessels, um mindestens 10 %, jedoch nicht um mehr als 60 % unterschritten wird, vorzugsweise um 20 bis 50 %, wobei aber auch der Brennstoffmindestdurchsatz des Brenners nicht unterschritten werden darf;
- die Luftzufuhr des Brenners bei einer nach dem Stand der Technik eingestellten Anlage um mindestens 10 %, jedoch um nicht mehr als 60 % reduziert wird, vorzugsweise um mindestens 20 bis 50 %;
- selbst bei nach dem Stand der Technik optimal eingestellten Anlagen der jüngsten Generation ohne Probleme 30 % und mehr Brennstoff bei gleicher Heizleistung gespart werden kann;
- die Schadstoffemissionen dauerhaft niedrig bleiben und die Anforderungen der strengen Schweizer Luftreinhalteverordnung (LRV) vom Januar 1992 unter Verwendung von Prüföl unterschritten werden kann;
- die Luftzahl λ auf Werte < 1,15 eingestellt werden kann und dennoch ein dauerhaft sicherer Betrieb der Anlage möglich ist;
- die Wärmeabgabeleistung des Einsatzes überragend gut ist, was sich im niedrigen Brennstoffbedarf im Verhältnis zur Aufheizzeit zeigt als Hinweis auf die bessere Ausnutzung der zugeführten Energie;
