Abstract

The flexible door leaf (1) can be wound onto and off a driven winder roller (5) pivot mounted above the door aperture and along vertical guides (6,20,24) extending along the soffits of the door aperture. The facing vertical side edges of the door leaf have retainer pieces (10,17,22)) spaced vertically apart and enclosed by the guides as far as a gap for the door leaf. The retainer pieces are arranged in pairs at the same level and are detachably joined by belts (8). The belt joining each pair may be held in a pocket (9) open at both sides. The retainer pieces may be connected to the door leaf, through two parallel running pairs, which may have a holding belt (16) between it.

Description

The invention relates to a roller door with a flexible door leaf that on a rotatably mounted above the door opening, drivable winding roller up and can be unwound from this, and with along the reveals of the door opening extending vertical guides for the door leaf. So that such a roller shutter can also fulfill its function of closing the rooms when the door is under wind pressure or has to separate rooms with different internal pressures, the side edges of the door leaves have been reinforced in a bead-like manner and the guides have been designed such that they have the side beads except for a gap enclose for the door leaf so that the door leaf is held with its side beads in the guides against the wind pressure. If frontal forces exceeding the wind pressure occur, the door leaf can deflect in that the side beads emerge from the guides at their gaps while the guides are elastically widened (US Pat. No. 4,601,320). The continuous side beads of the door leaf make it more difficult to wind up the door leaf, which is why instead of the continuous side beads, several retaining means have been provided at a distance from one another on each of the side edges of the door leaf (EP 0 264 220 B1), but high localized areas must be located on the side edges in the connection area between the door leaf and retaining means Stresses are accepted, which can lead to tearing of the restraint and destruction of the door leaf.

Wenn auch die Schraubenverbindung als Sollbruchstellen ausgebildet sind, läßt sich bei einer zum Bruch führenden Überlast eine Beschädigung des Torblatts nicht vermeiden.EP 0 591 050 A1 discloses a roller door in which, in addition to the connecting means between the door leaf and the slide, means for distributing the loads which are provided by the slide on the side edges of the door leaf are provided between retaining means (slide) arranged in pairs at the same height be exercised when the door leaf is strained is exposed. In particular (FIGS. 3 and 4 of EP 0 591 050 A1), straps are provided as means for distributing the stress, which straps extend from one side edge to the other, are fastened to the door leaf and are connected at the ends to the slides. For connection, plates are provided which engage in pockets which are welded or glued to the belt receiving pockets and are connected to them by screws which penetrate the plates, the door leaf, the pockets and the belt ends. If the screw connection is also designed as a predetermined breaking point, damage to the door leaf cannot be avoided in the event of an overload leading to breakage.

The invention is based on the prior art known from EP 0 591 050 A1 and outlined in the preamble of claim 1, and it is the object of the invention to prevent any damage to the door leaf with its pockets provided for holding the reinforcement straps in the event of a breakage Exclude overload. To achieve this object it is provided according to the invention that the straps are freely movable in their longitudinal direction in the pockets receiving them and are connected exclusively to the restraining means.

According to a further feature of the invention, the restraining means are formed by rollers which are arranged in pairs with their axes perpendicular to the door leaf plane, the bearing pieces of the rollers, which include a belt end and possibly the edge of the door leaf located in the region of the belt end, being braced against one another. If the door leaf is approached with a force exceeding the wind pressure in a so-called "crash situation", the belt and any door leaf edge which may be clamped with it are torn out of the clamping so that the connection of belt ends - possibly of new belts - if necessary door leaf edges and Bearings must be made again.

If it must be assumed that the door leaf will be hit more frequently in a crash situation, it may be advisable to design the guides and the restraint devices. as it is known in principle from EP 0 264 220, in the event of a force that significantly exceeds the wind pressure and acts frontally on the door leaf, either the compressible restraining means emerge from the gap in its guide or the restraining means in the case of spring-elastic training of the to the Extend the gap of the guide adjacent portions of the guide while widening the gap from the guide, the latter design is also suitable for retention means formed by rollers.

The roller door shown in Figure 1 consists of a door leaf 1, a roller 5 mounted in bearings 2, driven by a motor 3 via a gear 4 for winding and unwinding the door leaf 1 and laterally arranged along the reveal of the door opening guides 6 for the door leaf 1. At its lower end, the door leaf 1 is provided with a connecting bar 7, which is formed in a known manner (for example DE 40 07 280 C2 or DE 43 11 821 C2) and is guided in the guides 6. To support the door leaf 1, horizontally arranged straps 8 are provided, which are inserted into the laterally open pockets 9 connected to the door leaf 1 and at their ends projecting into the guides 6 are each connected to a pair of rollers 10 which are connected in the guides 6 towards the center of the door leaf, as shown in the cutouts shown in FIGS. 2a and 2b. As can be seen, the rollers 10 are each formed by an outer ring of a ball bearing, the inner part of which forms a bearing piece 11 consisting of a pin 11a and a plate 11b. These bearing pieces 11 of a pair of rollers 10 are braced against one another with their plates 11b by means of screws 12, wherein they clamp one end 8a of a belt 8. The mutually facing surfaces of the plates 11b are provided with ribbing 11c transversely to the belt longitudinal direction in order to ensure good adhesion of the belt end 8a between the plates 11b. The guide 6, which is composed of two halves, comprises the rollers 10 forming the retaining means except for a gap 6c between the leg 6a of the one and the leg 6b of the other half of the guide 6, the legs 6a and 6b for supporting the rollers 10 in the direction of serve the center of the door leaf. Brush strips 13 for sealing the door leaf 1 in the guides 6 are placed on the outside of the legs 6a and 6b.

If there is a crash situation, the affected belt 8, 14 can initially expand in the external dimension of its own elasticity within the pockets 9 of the door leaf 1 and if the belt 8 breaks, the strands of the belt 8 can open the sides Leave pockets 9 of door leaf 1 unimpeded so that door leaf 1 remains undamaged. After a belt 8 is torn, it is removed, a new belt 8 is threaded into the pocket 9 and its belt ends 8a are clamped between the plates 11b, so that the gate is ready for operation again.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, a retaining means 17 is provided which is formed from two halves, the end 16a of a belt 16, which is clamped between them. The halves of the retaining means 17 are connected by rivets or screws. The belt 16 connected to the restraint means 17 is inserted into a pocket 18, which is welded between two horizontal webs 19 forming the door leaf 1 between the corresponding vertical distances Welds is formed (Fig. 5). The guide 20 is formed from two halves, which include legs 20a and 20b made of spring steel. The dimensioning of the legs 20a and 20b is such that they are able to support the retaining means 17 against the forces resulting from the wind pressure on the door leaf 1 in the direction of the center of the door leaf, but with frontal forces which significantly exceed the wind pressure, in particular in the event of a crash while springing back into the position designated 20a 'and 20b', allow the retaining means 17 to exit through the gap 20c between the legs 20a and 20b, larger loads leading to damage to the door leaf 1 being kept away from the latter.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the end 21a of a belt 21 is placed around a retaining means 22 and closed to form an eyelet by means of screws or rivets and two plates 23. The retaining means 22 is formed by a compressible hose and is supported by legs 24a and 24b of a guide 24, the stiffness of the retaining means 22 being sufficient to withstand the forces resulting from the wind pressure on the door leaf 1 while the wind pressure occurs when it occurs substantially exceeding frontal forces, particularly in the event of a crash, the restraint 22 is elastically deformed under the tensile force acting on the belt 21 and exits through the gap 24c between the legs 24a and 24b in the form designated 22 '.

A sliding door with a flexible door sheet (1), which can be wound up onto and unwound from a drivable winder (5) rotatably mounted above the door opening, and whose side edges are provided with vertically-spaced restraining means (10, 17, 22) which move in vertical guides (6, 20, 24) extending along the jambs of the door opening and are surrounded by the said guides up to a gap (6c, 20c, 24c) for the door sheet (1), the restraining means (10, 17, 22) arranged in pairs at the same height being connected by strips (8, 16, 21) extending from one side edge of the door sheet (1) to the other in pockets (9, 18),
    characterised in that
the strips (8, 16, 21), freely movable in their longitudinal direction in their pockets (9, 18), are connected exclusively to the restraining means (10, 17, 22).
  2. A sliding door according to Claim 1,
    characterised in that
the restraining means are formed from rollers (10) arranged in pairs with their axes perpendicular to the plane of the door sheet and are connected to one strip end (8a, 14a) by way of the bearing members (11), mountable towards each other, of the rollers (10).
  3. A sliding door according to Claim 1,
characterised in that the restraining means (22) are perpendicular to the plane of the door sheet and compressible in such a manner that they can emerge, as a result of resilient deformation (22'), from the guides (24) through their gap (24c) when there is frontal pressure, exceeding wind pressure, on the door sheet (1).
  4. A sliding door according to Claim 1,
    characterised in that
the guides (20), in their sections (20a, 20b) adjacent their gap (20c), are formed in such a springlike manner that when there is frontal pressure, exceeding wind pressure, on the door sheet (1), the gap (20c) of the guides (20) [is] resiliently expanded (20a', 20b') by the restraining means (17) and the restraining means (17) can emerge from the gap (20c).
