Abstract

The ski fixing comprises a base plate (1) having holes (10) for the passage of fixing screws (8). The screws are supported exclusively on the base plate on which is mounted a boot restraining system and a ski brake which can be dismantled. The ski brake comprises a base plate (5), which is assembled to the ski base plate by a screw, and a brake arm (6). The brake base plate has holes (12) enabling passage of a tool to the screws fixing the ski base plate. The brake base plate holes which are superposed over the holes in the ski base plate have removable plugs (19). The brake base plate holes have a smaller diameter than that of the screw heads. The brake base plate and the ski base plate are assembled together by fasteners (17,18) and a single screw.

Claims (5)

  1. Alpine ski binding comprising a baseplate (1) having holes (10) for the passage of screws (8) for securing the baseplate to a ski, said screws bearing exclusively on the baseplate, a boot retention device (2) and a detachable ski brake comprising a base (5) assembled with the baseplate by at least one rotary assembly element (15), and at least one brake arm (6), being mounted on this baseplate, characterized in that the base (5) of the detachable brake has access openings (12, 13) to the screws (8) for securing the baseplate to the ski, allowing the passage of a tightening tool for accessing said screws so that it is possible to screw the baseplate/brake assembly onto the ski with the brake prefitted.
  2. Ski binding as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the openings (8) are holes.
  3. Ski binding as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the holes (12, 13) in the brake base, which are superposed with the holes (10) in the baseplate, are fitted with removable plugs (19).
  4. Ski binding as claimed in one of the claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the holes in the brake base have a diameter less than the diameter of the head of the screws (8) for securing the baseplate to the ski.
  5. Ski binding as claimed in one of the claim 1 to 4, characterised in that the brake base (5) and the baseplate (1) are assembled with one another, on the one hand, by hooking (17, 18) and, on the other hand, by a single rotary assembly element (15).
