Abstract

PCT No. PCT/EP96/02176 Sec. 371 Date Mar. 27, 1997 Sec. 102(e) Date Mar. 27, 1997 PCT Filed May 21, 1996 PCT Pub. No. WO96/37135 PCT Pub. Date Nov. 28, 1996An eating utensil is provided for holding pieces of food. The eating utensil is provided in the form of gripping tongs (1) with gripper arms (2-3) which can be moved towards each other against a restoring force from an open position into a gripping position. Also provided is a dispenser for the eating utensil. The dispenser holds a plurality of such eating utensils in a stacked relationship within the dispenser. A lowest one of the eating utensils in the dispenser is held in place by the combination of stop elements on the dispenser and catch devices on the utensils. While held in this manner, the lowest eating utensil protrudes partially from the dispensing shaft of the dispenser. The lowest eating utensil therefore can be pulled out of the dispenser for use. The next eating utensil, which was above the lowest eating utensil, then falls to the position of the lowest eating utensil. The combination of the eating utensil and the dispenser thus provides a convenient way of storing and dispensing eating utensils.

Description

The invention relates to a combination of a dispenser and storage devices for storing chunky food ingredients, the donor one Dispenser shaft for holding a large number of stacked ones Has eating equipment and dispenser shaft and eating device are adapted to each other in such a way that the eating devices can slide down, in the area of a stop device at the lower end of the dispenser shaft is provided, which interacts with the lowest measuring device in this way, that on the one hand an output of the eating device possible, on the other hand an automatic fall out of the Eating device is prevented.

Such a combination is known from FR-A-2 495 916. The combination has a donor, in whose Dispenser chute spoons are stacked on top of each other. Such Spoons are generally suitable as a dining device, but are in the example of a drink shown in the document certainly. The spoons are one above the other in the dispenser shaft stacked, being at the bottom of the dispenser shaft a stop device prevents the spoons from falling out prevented. The stop device consists of a Slider that can be moved away and thereby the lower one Opens the opening of the dispenser shaft.

The well-known combination is the shape of spoons customized. However, such spoons are not very suitable for the consumption of pieces of food. Moreover the stop device is relatively complicated.

There are also tongs-shaped eating devices for various Purposes known (DE-A-1 903 497; CH-A-124 499; DE-U-76 39 883; EP-A-247 488). However, they are without exception as unique pieces disclosed and not in combination with one Donor.

For the consumption of food with or from lumpy food components, especially of fast food dishes with French fries, sausages or the like, are in generally designed as two-pronged forks provided that skewered the food and lead to the mouth of the person concerned can. The disadvantage of these forks is that the fork in question Food component slips off and is therefore lost. There is also a risk of contamination of clothing and floors.

The invention has for its object in a combination to design a eating device of the type mentioned at the outset, that lumpy food ingredients with him safely can be included and that it is simple Way can be removed from the donor.

This object is achieved in that the eating devices are designed as gripping tongs with gripping arms are from an open position against a restoring force are movable together in a gripping position and the are designed so that several can be stacked one inside the other in the open position are, the stop device stop elements has, which as a matching locking means Dispenser shaft and gripping tongs are designed and the interlock in a position where the bottom Gripping pliers partially protrude from the donor shaft.

With this combination, a variety of stacked Grippers provided for self-service be, with the lowest, by Gripping pliers held by stop elements can be removed. After removal, they still slide in the dispenser shaft existing grippers down until the bottom one Gripping pliers comes back into the area of the stop elements and is stopped. It is understood that such Donors can also have several such donor wells, in which a large number of gripping pliers are stacked filled and stacked.

An expedient embodiment for the gripping tongs exists in it, two gripper arms via a connector connect with each other. The gripping pliers allow this as a disposable product for single use from inexpensive To produce materials, for example plastic or similar. The grippers are suitable is particularly suitable for use in the fast food sector. In an advantageous embodiment it is provided that the connector is designed like a flexure. This means any type of connection that a movement of the gripper arms against the action of a Restoring force allowed. So the connector formed for example as a simple connecting arch his. In addition or in combination, there is the possibility to make the gripping arms flexible themselves.

The gripping tongs can be designed so that the V-shaped gripper arms - preferably at an angle of about 60 ° - stand apart. The gripper can as a whole from a strip of the same width and thickness be shaped.

In a further embodiment of the gripping tongs, that the gripping arms on the outside preferably with corrugations have provided recessed handles over which the Move the gripper arms together by inserting the thumb and index finger to let. The recessed grips should be convenient arranged in the region of half the length of the gripping arms his.

Convenient for providing the Gripping pliers in the dispenser is the free edges of the Gripping arms to be bent inwards.

The locking means can each protrude from a locking web and there is a suitable locking groove. It is useful if the locking bars in the dispenser shaft protrude and the locking grooves in the outside of the Gripping arms are molded. In this case, the pliers-side stop elements in the area of the free ends the gripper arms can be arranged.

The dispenser shaft is advantageously in its Basic shape rectangular and has opposite broad sides and opposite narrow sides. In this case the stop elements should be arranged on the narrow sides his.

It is appropriate that the gripper arms under a certain Preload on the opposite inside of the Donation chute. For their guidance, the Dispenser shaft have opposite guide grooves, into which the free ends of the gripper arms fit.

The gripping tongs 1 shown in FIG. 1 essentially exist from two V-shaped gripping arms 2, 3 and one these connecting articulated arch 4. The articulated arch 4 forms a Art bending joint and holds the gripping arms 2, 3 in the shown Position if it is not subjected to an external force become. The articulated bow 4 allows moving apart and together the gripper arms 2, 3 each against the action of a resilient Restoring force that is striving to grasp the arms 2, 3 in to move back the open position shown.

The gripper 1 is made of a plastic strip of the same width and thickness shaped. Cross section and stability of this plastic strip is designed in such a way that gripping on the one hand of lumpy food components between the gripper arms 2, 3 is possible, on the other hand there is such elasticity, that the gripper arms 2, 3 from the open position shown in a Gripping position can be moved together.

The gripper arms 2, 3 have approximately in the middle of their length - each seen from the outside - concave recessed grips 5, 6, each are provided with a corrugation 7, 8 and for insertion of thumb and forefinger to compress the Gripping arms 2, 3 are determined. Towards the free ends the gripping arms 2, 3 each extend over the entire width extending locking grooves 9, 10, each to the outer sides are open. Gripping blades close to the locking grooves 9, 10 11, 12, which is primarily the inclusion of the food ingredient serve and the free ends 13, 14 each are bent inwards.

Figures 2 and 3 show a dispenser 15. It has an essentially rectangular housing 16 with a rear, in Cross-section trapezoidal bulge 17, which extends over the entire height of the housing 16 extends. Interspersed on the inside the housing 16 a dispenser shaft 18, the cross section of which can be seen in particular from Figure 2 and through the top a lid 19 is closed and open on the underside.

The dispenser shaft 18 has approximately the cross-sectional shape of the housing 16. On its narrow sides it points from top to bottom continuous guide grooves 20, 21. Their width is close to that Width of the gripping blades 11, 12 of the gripping tongs 1 adjusted so that they engage in the guide grooves 20, 21 and slide therein can.

As can be seen in particular from Figure 2, are in the dispenser shaft 18 a variety of gripping tongs - for example with 1 - filled in such that the articulated arch 4th stands down and the gripper arms 2, 3 symmetrically upwards strive apart. They are stacked together and lying via the gripping blades 11, 12 on the narrow sides of the dispenser shaft 18 in the guide grooves 20, 21. The bias is so that the gripping blades 11, 12 do not come out of the guide grooves 20, 21 can jump out, but on the other hand one The gripping tongs 1 slide downward in the dispenser shaft 18 weight is possible.

The gripping tongs 1 are by the lowest gripping tongs 1 prevented from falling out. This bottom gripper 1 is held by locking means, namely at the lower ends of the guide grooves 20, 21 projecting horizontally inwards Locking webs 22, 23 (Figure 4). These locking webs 22, 23 summarize in the locking grooves 9, 10 and thereby give the lowest Gripping pliers 1 so much hold that they are not under load the gripping tongs 1 stacked over it can fall out. This is ensured by the acting in the direction of the double arrows external biasing force.

In order to be able to remove the bottom gripper 1, is only necessary that the gripper arms 2, 3 compressed so far be that the engagement between locking grooves 9, 10 and locking webs 22, 23 is lost and the gripping blades 11, 12 to the Latches 22, 23 can slide past. The removal of the bottom Gripping pliers 1 has the consequence that the further gripping pliers slide down and the gripping pliers 1, which is at the bottom their locking grooves 9, 10 on the locking webs 22, 23 by bordering them stuck in the locking grooves 9, 10.
