Definitions
- the invention relates to a waste container with a swing lid essentially having a round outline, the swing lid being mounted approximately along a diameter and permitting an equal opening in two mutually opposite directions of rotation, and in addition an automatic taking of the closed position of the swing lid by weight loading is achieved due to a weight arranged on the swing lid back.
- the swing lid has an approximately pointed roof shape in cross-section, so that the weight which causes the automatic taking of the closure position is obtained from the lid parts which extend deeper than the ridge-side growth.
- the material brought into the cross-sectional area of the waste bin is then dropped, either to get into an inserted inner bin or to get into the waste container. In the latter case, the superstructure supporting the swing lid can be lifted off for access to disposal.
- the object of the invention is to design a generic waste container in a more advantageous manner.
- a generic waste container of increased utility value is achieved: this is due to the easier introduction of the waste. It only needs to be thrown on the swing lid. Any contamination with the swing lid for this purpose is unnecessary.
- the weight of the waste to be disposed of itself causes the opening.
- the flat surface of the swing lid top is offset in depth from a waste container edge in such a way that a peripheral edge surface of substantially the same height results in the closed position of the swing lid. This creates a plate-like collecting trough in front of the swing lid-controlled waste room.
- the material to be disposed of then slips over the left or right shoulder into the waste room.
- a mirror-like top surface can be used to promote sliding.
- the height of the edge surface corresponds to approximately one fifth of a shoulder or arm length of the swing lid.
- Such a height was felt to be sufficient in the usual order of magnitude, so that the usable space is hardly reduced compared to otherwise known exposed superstructures, while the benefit of a throw-in safety increases.
- a structurally advantageous configuration in particular in terms of assembly technology, also results from the fact that the swing lid has an inserted, one-piece axis of rotation and the weight is plugged onto the axis of rotation. The axis of rotation thus has an additional function.
- the corresponding plug-in bracket is optimized if the weight, at least for assembly purposes, is displaceable on the axis of rotation under spring deflection.
- the weight is frictionally applied to the underside of the swing lid.
- it can optionally be moved on the axis of rotation or even folded with its long side against the underside. This happens like a snap. In cases where a corresponding variability of the weight is not desired, this is fixed by screwing or the like.
- commercially available material can be used. In concrete terms, the procedure is such that the weight is rod-shaped with a rod axis oriented essentially perpendicular to the axis of rotation.
- the corresponding alignment is self-locking by machining the face end on the rotary axis side, which pushes against the underside of the swing lid.
- Solid round bars are used. With a corresponding cross-section, this results in a minimum length with a sufficient gravity-related effect.
- an advantageous feature results from the fact that the length of the round rod is not longer than an arm length of the swing lid. As a result, the swing lid can not only pivot into its position providing a maximum opening, but can also be turned completely, so that its underside points upwards, which promotes cleaning accessibility.
- the edge surface complements a waste container edge bead which is U-shaped in cross section and that bearing receptacles for the ends of the axis of rotation are formed on the inner U-leg.
- a lid-stabilizing measure proves to be such that the swing lid is plate-shaped with a plate cavity directed towards the container. The corresponding angled plate edge attaches to the periphery of the plate surface and therefore does not prevent slipping.
- the waste container B shown has a cylindrical housing 1, which ends on the foot side with a base ring 2 and on the head side with a bead-shaped waste container edge 3.
- the waste container edge 3 can be realized on a detachable or attached attachment 4 on the housing side.
- the corresponding detachable version is used in cases in which the housing 1 itself the waste receiving space poses.
- an inner bucket is used. This is shown only schematically in dash-dotted line type in FIG. 5 and is designated by 5.
- the top has a rubber-elastic, funnel-shaped ring 6, which extends bridging the edge gap to the inner wall of the housing 1. In this case, the bottom of the housing 1 is left open so that the waste container as a whole can be removed from the inner bin 5 which remains full.
- the essay 4 takes into account an opening ⁇ .
- the waste enters the inner bucket 5 via this opening.
- the opening ⁇ is checked via a swing lid 7. Opening ⁇ and swing lid 7 have the same round outline, leaving a narrow annular gap 8 between them.
- the swing lid 7 is held in its closed position by weight loading (see FIGS. 1 and 5).
- the weight G causing this is on the swing lid back 7 '. It extends towards the inner bucket 5 in the center of the swing lid 7 having a circular outline.
- the swing cover 7 is seated on a horizontally oriented axis of rotation 9. It is mounted essentially along a diameter, so that equal openings are created in two opposite directions while the swing cover 7 is tilted (see FIG. 3). This is done simply by the load of a waste object 10 thrown on the swing lid 7.
- the smooth or evenly designed swing lid upper side 7 ′′ is significantly offset in depth from the upper edge of the waste container 3. This creates an approximately plate-shaped insertion trough 12 in front of the swing lid 7.
- This is cylindrical or slightly funneled and merges above a convex curvature into a flat waste container edge section 11, which occupies such an exposed position, in order to subsequently run into the outer wall of the attachment 4, likewise via a convex curvature.
- the height x of said edge surface 13 corresponds to approximately one fifth of an arm length a of the swing lid 7. In practice, it is approximately 2 cm, the waste container being approximately 60 cm high and having an outer diameter of approximately 40 cm.
- the swing lid back 7 ' is still in the closed position in the range of the specified height x, namely in the lower end region of the edge surface 13. Both arm lengths a are the same.
- the swing lid 7 itself is also plate-shaped and is angled at right angles in the annular gap 8 with a defining edge area.
- the relevant swing lid edge 7 '' ' is directed downwards.
- the plate cavity thus points in the direction of the inner bucket 5.
- the bore 15 creating the bearing lies in the edge 7 '''itself, while the bore providing the bearing receptacle 14 does not lie in the actual edge surface 13, but in a bearing tab 16 which adjoins at the end downwards.
- the corresponding measures are carried out on diametrically opposite sides of both parts.
- edge surface 13 complements a waste container edge bead 17 which is U-shaped in cross section. Its U opening points downwards. Part of this edge bead 17 are the exposed portion of the waste container edge section 11 forming the U-web and the leg forming the edge surface 13 as the U-leg and the parallel outside leg forming the ring wall of the attachment 4; both are rotationally symmetrical.
- the two ends of the axis of rotation 9 which pass through the swiveling cover-side bearing receptacles 15 and the bearing receptacles 14 on the edge surface are secured in the region of the bead cavity by holding means, for example in the form of a circlip, a countered screw or the like.
- the securing means have the reference symbol 18.
- the axis of rotation 9 running along the diameter is continuous in one piece. In addition to the axis-forming function, it is also used to hold the weight G.
- the weight G sits on the quick-release axle 9. For this purpose, it has a transverse bore 19 through which the axis of rotation 9 passes.
- the weight G is, as it were, "threaded" on the axle assembly.
- the outputs of the transverse bore 19 are funnel-shaped. Wear the funnels the reference number 20. They have a centering effect with respect to the plug assignment.
- the weight G is rod-shaped. It can be cut to length from a commercially available, for example cross-sectional profile.
- the rod axis which coincides with the longitudinal central axis y-y of the waste container B in the closed position of the swing lid 7, is designated by z-z.
- a solid round bar is used. You can get by with a relatively small slope length. For example, the length of the round rod that provides the weight G and hangs downward and creates a sufficiently low center of gravity is no longer than an arm length a of the swinging lid 7
- the procedure is further such that the weight G, at least for assembly purposes, is displaceable on the axis of rotation 9 under resilient articulation thereof.
- the geometric axis of the axis of rotation 9 extends at a slightly greater vertical distance from the rear side 7 'of the swing lid 7 than the distance of the axis ends from said reference plane in this direction.
- the face-cut face 21 on the swing lid side thus comes under slight prestress against the corresponding section of the rear side 7 '.
- the axis of rotation 9 is consequently slightly curved in the direction of the inner bucket 5 (not shown in the drawing because it is easy to imagine).
- the corresponding assignment also allows the round rod to be folded in, ie it nestles against the rear side 7 'of the swinging lid 7 with one or other longitudinal side in a spring-loaded manner.
- the corresponding weight shift then leads to the swinging lid opening up opening ⁇ to the maximum (not shown).
- Such a flipping happens like a snap because the radius of the round rod is greater than the distance between the transverse bore 19 and the end face 21.
- the weight G is held on the underside or rear side 7 'of the swing lid 7 by friction. It can only be shifted on the axis of rotation 9 in one direction or the other.
- the procedure is that the weight G is fixed by screwing or the like.
- the function of the waste container B is, briefly summarized, as follows: by inserting waste 10-forming particles into the top-side insertion trough 12 of the waste container B, the swing lid 7 is tilted in one of the two opposite directions of rotation, the waste 10 passing through the opening ⁇ slips into the inner bucket 5.
- the then released swing lid 7 then automatically returns to the closed position shown in FIG. 1 due to the effect of the weight G.
- the housing 1 After filling the inner bucket 5, the housing 1 only needs to be pulled upwards from it. The inner bucket 5 is then accessible.
- the waste container B is also the immediate waste collection vessel, then only the attachment 4 then held by means of the plug-in assignment needs to be lifted off. In the preferred embodiment shown, it is fastened to the housing 1 by means of retaining screws 22 or rivets.
- ring 6 acting as a funnel with a downwardly extended extension overlaps the top of the wall of the housing 1 handle shells 23 inside the container. These have a latching effect, but can be overcome due to the sufficient elasticity of the ring 6. When not filled, they hold the inner bucket 5 so that it can be transported. Only the filling load leaves the inner bucket.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a waste container with a swing lid essentially having a round outline, the swing lid being mounted approximately along a diameter and permitting an equal opening in two mutually opposite directions of rotation, and in addition an automatic taking of the closed position of the swing lid by weight loading is achieved due to a weight arranged on the swing lid back.
In known, commercially available waste containers of this type, the swing lid has an approximately pointed roof shape in cross-section, so that the weight which causes the automatic taking of the closure position is obtained from the lid parts which extend deeper than the ridge-side growth. In order to bring in the waste, it is necessary to perform a swiveling movement on the swing lid, which is emphasized by the will. When the desired opening is reached, the material brought into the cross-sectional area of the waste bin is then dropped, either to get into an inserted inner bin or to get into the waste container. In the latter case, the superstructure supporting the swing lid can be lifted off for access to disposal.
The object of the invention is to design a generic waste container in a more advantageous manner.
This object is achieved by the invention specified in the claims.
As a result of such an embodiment, a generic waste container of increased utility value is achieved: this is due to the easier introduction of the waste. It only needs to be thrown on the swing lid. Any contamination with the swing lid for this purpose is unnecessary. The weight of the waste to be disposed of itself causes the opening. For this purpose, it is first proposed that the flat surface of the swing lid top is offset in depth from a waste container edge in such a way that a peripheral edge surface of substantially the same height results in the closed position of the swing lid. This creates a plate-like collecting trough in front of the swing lid-controlled waste room. The material to be disposed of then slips over the left or right shoulder into the waste room. A mirror-like top surface can be used to promote sliding. It also proves to be favorable that the height of the edge surface corresponds to approximately one fifth of a shoulder or arm length of the swing lid. Such a height was felt to be sufficient in the usual order of magnitude, so that the usable space is hardly reduced compared to otherwise known exposed superstructures, while the benefit of a throw-in safety increases. A structurally advantageous configuration, in particular in terms of assembly technology, also results from the fact that the swing lid has an inserted, one-piece axis of rotation and the weight is plugged onto the axis of rotation. The axis of rotation thus has an additional function. The corresponding plug-in bracket is optimized if the weight, at least for assembly purposes, is displaceable on the axis of rotation under spring deflection. It is even possible to dispense with a further determination of the weight using the classic fasteners. Rather is with the simplest Means achieved that the weight is frictionally applied to the underside of the swing lid. For example, in order to achieve better access to cleaning, it can optionally be moved on the axis of rotation or even folded with its long side against the underside. This happens like a snap. In cases where a corresponding variability of the weight is not desired, this is fixed by screwing or the like. Regarding the weight, commercially available material can be used. In concrete terms, the procedure is such that the weight is rod-shaped with a rod axis oriented essentially perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The corresponding alignment is self-locking by machining the face end on the rotary axis side, which pushes against the underside of the swing lid. Solid round bars are used. With a corresponding cross-section, this results in a minimum length with a sufficient gravity-related effect. In addition, an advantageous feature results from the fact that the length of the round rod is not longer than an arm length of the swing lid. As a result, the swing lid can not only pivot into its position providing a maximum opening, but can also be turned completely, so that its underside points upwards, which promotes cleaning accessibility. With regard to the indicated waste container edge, it is also proposed from a structural point of view that the edge surface complements a waste container edge bead which is U-shaped in cross section and that bearing receptacles for the ends of the axis of rotation are formed on the inner U-leg. Finally, a lid-stabilizing measure proves to be such that the swing lid is plate-shaped with a plate cavity directed towards the container. The corresponding angled plate edge attaches to the periphery of the plate surface and therefore does not prevent slipping.

The waste container B shown has a
The
The
Fig. 1 und 5).
Fig. 3).
In order to enable the
Beide Armlängen a sind gleich. The height x of said
The
From Fig. 5 it also follows that the
Die Sicherungsmittel tragen das Bezugszeichen 18.The two ends of the axis of
The axis of
The weight G is rod-shaped. It can be cut to length from a commercially available, for example cross-sectional profile. The rod axis, which coincides with the longitudinal central axis y-y of the waste container B in the closed position of the
In order to apply the weight G with the smallest possible volume, a solid round bar is used. You can get by with a relatively small slope length. For example, the length of the round rod that provides the weight G and hangs downward and creates a sufficiently low center of gravity is no longer than an arm length a of the swinging
In order to secure the preferred central position of the weight G or the round rod, the procedure is further such that the weight G, at least for assembly purposes, is displaceable on the axis of
In both extreme positions, the weight G is held on the underside or rear side 7 'of the
If the corresponding displaceability should not occur or should be possible, the procedure is that the weight G is fixed by screwing or the like.
The function of the waste container B is, briefly summarized, as follows: by inserting waste 10-forming particles into the top-
