The hand-towel dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein take-up mechanism (19) is provided for pulling in a loose hand-towel loop on time-out of at least one timing member (22) which is set in operation after dispensing, more particularly a sensor (29) being a lever, which may be comb-shaped, engaging at least one recess of a hand-towel guide (31) and preferably said blocking means (40) acting on an air brake disk (39).
  3. The hand-towel dispenser as set forth in claim 1 or 2, wherein a take-up mechanism (19) includes a multi-wheel gearing assembly (34, 35, 38) in which a spiral spring storage having overtensioning protection is incorporated as said energy storage, more particularly an energy storage (21) being provided in the axis of a take-up roller (32) or a output end part (38) of said gearing assembly being provided in the rear half of the dispenser (1) or directly adjoining the rear side thereof, and/or a take-up mechanism (19) from hand-towel web dispensing to hand-towel web take-up containing a translation of preferably not more than 1: 2 by which an energy storage (21) is wound up for a greater take-up length than the length of hand-towel web dispensed, more particularly a translation stage (35) following a reduction stage (34) or a drive wheel provided as a control wheel such as a belt wheel (33) or the like being drivingly connected via a belt drive (35) to a shaft of an energy storage (21).

The hand-towel dispenser as set forth in any of the preceding claims, wherein a lower protrusion (27) of a bottom section (9) of said dispenser (1) forms at least one contact surface for a dispensed hand-towel loop, more particularly a section freely extending beyond the side of a contact surface being provided for gripping a hand-towel web, preferably a dispensing and take-up mechanism (18, 19) being arranged substantially completely on one side of said dispenser (1) only or is configured as a unit (20) removable from the cabinet of said dispenser (1), on said unit more particularly said bottom section (9) or said partition (16) being mounted, and/or at least one return lock (58) being provided for limiting a hand-towel length to be dispensed from a used hand-towel roll (14) and preferably a lock (58) comprising a locking member (60) capable of being coupled into the movement of a take-up roller (32) incrementally in opposing directions.
