Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a clip for holding flat objects, especially flexible objects like single and multi-sheet printed products, according to Preamble of claim 1.
  • a bracket of this type is from CH-A-636 824 or corresponding US-A-4,307,801. This parenthesis points two jaws on a common axis are pivotally mounted in a holder.
  • a Closing spring acts on the in the closing direction Clamp jaws and holds them in a clamping position. To the One clamp jaw is opened in each case by applying force to one with this clamp jaw firmly connected opening lever against the effect of Closing spring pivoted away from the other jaw. In order to be able to open the clip, the Force can be overcome by the closing spring.
  • the present invention is based on the object to create a bracket of the type mentioned at which the clamped jaws in their clamped position Clamp the object securely, but open the clamp can be opened easily.
  • the locking device ensures in its closed position making sure that the jaws are sufficient to achieve strong clamping effect can be pressed against each other. At the Move the locking device to the release position those acting on the jaws disappear Closing forces and the clamp jaws can move away from each other and the captured object release.
  • the clip according to the invention is suitable for use in a transport device for flat objects, in which the brackets on a rotating driven Tension member are attached and so along a Transport track are moved.
  • the clamp 1 has two clamp jaws 2, 3 which are made of a rigid material, preferably from a suitable plastic.
  • the two clamp jaws 2, 3 are pivotally mounted about a common axis 4.
  • the clamp jaw 2 with tabs 5 and Provide clamp jaw 3 with tabs 6, which axis 4 embrace and alternate in the longitudinal direction are arranged, as is clear from FIGS. 1, 3 and 5 emerges.
  • the clamp jaws 2, 3 are in their 1 and 2 shown clamping position by means of a Closing device 7 pressed against each other. This Locking device 7 is in FIGS. 1 and 2 in their Closed position and in Figs. 3 and 4 in their Release position shown.
  • the locking device 7 has two at a distance a (FIG. 2) opposite clamping bodies 8, 9, between which the clamp jaws 2, 3 extend.
  • Each clamping body 8, 9 is preferably rotatable on one rigid support arm 10 or 11 attached.
  • the two support arms 10, 11 are over one end Connector 12 connected together. Of this Connector 12 protrudes a bearing pin 13 on which a control roller 14 is mounted. The latter can be rotated or be firmly connected to the bearing pin 13.
  • the support arms 10, 11 on one Pivot axis 15 attached, which is pivotable in one Bearing body 16 is mounted.

  • the opening angle is given by the two clamping bodies 8, 9.
  • the locking device 7 is pivoted downward from the release position into the closed position. This state is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • the locking lugs 21, 22 must first be run over by the clamping bodies 8, 9 with the application of a certain force, whereupon the latter then engage in the locking recesses 19, 20.
  • the clamp jaws 2, 3 are designed such that their ends 2a, 3a touch, while the clamp jaws 2, 3 are spaced apart from one another in the region of the latching depressions. In other words, the clamp jaws 2, 3 are slightly curved from the axis 4 to the ends 2a, 3a.
  • Each of the two clamping bodies 8, 9 arranged at a fixed distance a from one another exerts a closing force F1 or F2 (FIG. 2) on the assigned clamping jaw 2, 3 in the closed position of the closing device 7.
  • the two closing forces F1, F2 act opposite to each other on the outside 17 and 18 of the corresponding clamp jaw 2 and 3, respectively.
  • FIG. 4 Representation of another embodiment of a clip 1 in Open position shown.
  • This embodiment of the bracket 1 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 to 5 only in that each clamp jaw 2, 3 with a Actuating lever is connected, namely the clamp jaw 2 with an operating lever 24 and the clamp jaw 3 with an operating lever 25.
