Si la fiche est correctement disposée, c'est-à-dire si les broches sont introduites simultanément dans les ouvertures traversantes, la poussée est symétrique sur les deux plans inclinés 40, si bien que la pièce 16 garde son orientation et que ses crochets arrière 46 s'engagent entre les deux doigts du berceau 17, puis guident la pièce en glissant sur les surfaces de guidage 39. Il en résulte que les protubérances latérales 21 de la pièce mobile s'escamotent vers l'avant et laissent pénétrer les broches 54 et 55 dans les ouvertures 12 et 13 du boîtier intérieur 11 comme le montre la figure 7. La broche de terre 56 et la broche de détrompage 59 passent à travers l'ouverture centrale 43 de la pièce mobile pour entrer dans les ouvertures 14 et 15 du boîtier intérieur 11.
