Definitions
- the present invention relates to belts used to protect the barrels from bags for the transport of powders, granules or other powders against any tear.
- the invention relates in particular to a belt designed to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport matters lodged in its body, to prevent it from being torn under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it is shaped cylindrical, the upper edge, at a minimum, of its upper and lower edges, being provided with an elastic retaining band.
- Such a transport bag is used by tying an opening made in its part lower using a closure cord, closing a lower closure, opening an opening in its upper part, placing the material to transport in his body through this opening, by stringing the upper opening using a closure cord and closing a closure superior.
- the bag is then hoisted, for example, by a crane, placed on a pallet specified as shown in diagram 2, then lifted and transported by a trolley fork to a predetermined location.
- the invention which concerns us was conceived with the aim of providing a solution to the situation described above by providing a belt intended to protect the barrel from carrying bag, such a belt being able to prevent tearing of the body of the bag under the action of an external force and which can be produced in a way economical, without causing a significant increase in the weight of the bag.
- Document FR-A-2,267,256 already brought an improvement by proposing a belt to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in his body, this protective belt adapting or attaching to or around the body of the bag to prevent it from tearing under the action of an external force.
- the present invention provides for the combination of a barrel of a bag with a belt whose shape and support are detailed below.
- the invention thus relates to a barrel of a bag intended for transporting housed materials in the body of the bag, this barrel being used in combination with a belt intended to protect the barrel of the bag, this belt having a cylindrical shape which can be easily adapted on the periphery of the body of the bag and which is fixed on this periphery by means of elastic retaining bands or an attachment cord, at the at least one strip or cord being disposed on the upper edge of the belt, at the at least one band or cord being placed on the lower edge of the belt, each elastic retaining strip or each fastening cord being sewn along of the upper and lower edge (s) of the belt or being housed in a passage formed at the top and bottom edge (s) of the belt.
- the belt designed to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body adapts to the body of the bag to prevent it from tear under the action of an external force, this belt being of cylindrical shape, the upper edge, at a minimum, of its upper and lower edges, being provided with a elastic support band.
- the elastic band is sewn along the edge or edges of the belt.
- a third embodiment comprises an elastic band housed in a formed passage at the edge (s) of the belt.
- the protective belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body attaches around the body of the bag to prevent it from tearing under the action of an external force, this belt being of form being of cylindrical shape, the upper edge, at a minimum, of its upper and lower edges, being equipped with a fastening cord.
- This cord is sewn along the edge or edges of the belt, or be housed in a passage formed at the edge or edges of the belt.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the first example below.
- Diagram 2 illustrates the embodiment as it will be transported by a forklift.
- Figure 3 is a perspective view of the second example.
- Figure 4 is a perspective view of the third example.
- Figure 5 is a perspective view of the fourth example.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of one aspect of this embodiment while diagram 2 illustrates the present embodiment as it will be transported by a forklift.
- a protective belt (10) of relatively shaped cylindrical, made from synthetic resin, is provided with retaining bands elastic bands (11a and 11b) which are sewn along the edges defining the openings upper and lower (12a and 12b) respectively, and is provided, as illustrated in diagram 1, to protect the body of a transport bag.
- the protective belt (10) thus formed will be positioned around the bag. transport to be used by inserting the lower part of the bag into the opening (12a) or (12b) and will be held in place on the periphery of the body of the bag using the bands holding elastic (11a and 11b).
- an opening in the upper part of the bag is opened and an opening in the lower part of the latter is closed with a closure cord, which completes the closure of the transport bags traditional.
- the material to be transported is placed in the body (1) of the bag by through the upper opening, which has the effect of enlarging the body (1) of the bag axially and radially and stretch the elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) in order to position the protective belt (10) in close contact with the periphery of the body (1) of the bag.
- Diagram 2 illustrates the transport bag (C) placed on a pallet (15).
- the body (1) of bag is filled with the material to be transported and equipped with the protective belt (10), its upper opening being tied and closed according to the traditional method.
- the forks (17) of a forklift (16) it may be that one of the corners of the pallet (15) or that the front end of the fork (17) comes strike the transport bag (C) as the pallet or fork approaches the latter, in which case, the belt (10) will protect the body (1) of the bag against any tearing, thus preventing the transported material from escaping from it.
- the belt (10) protects the body (1) of the transport bag (C) with the pallet (15) or the fork (17) but also of the possible contact of the bag with a protruding part of a wall when, for example, the bag (C) is transported by a forklift.
- the present embodiment can be easily adapted on the bag.
- transport (C) before the use of the latter being held in place by the force of tightening applied by elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) and preventing thus the body (1) of the bag filled with the material to be transported from tearing under the action an external force exerted, for example, by the fork (17) of the forklift (16) when transporting the bag (C).
- the elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) are sewn along the upper and lower edges of the protective belt (10), it can be supplied with a single elastic retaining band fixed to the level of its upper edge only when it is unlikely that the section bottom of the belt can be rolled up from below.
- Diagram 3 is another perspective view of an embodiment of the invention.
- the cords (11c and 11d) are housed in passages (12c and 12d) formed along the peripheral opening edges of a protective belt, as illustrated in diagram 3, in contrast to the embodiment of example 1, in which the elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) are sewn along the edges upper and lower of such a protective belt.
- the belt is used so that it cannot be rolled up from below, only one cord can be used in the passage made in the upper edge just as in the previous realization.
- the elastic retaining strip is sewn on the protective belt, it can be accommodated in a formed passage along the peripheral opening edge of the belt just as in the embodiment of example 2.
- the cords may be sewn on the respective upper and lower edges as in the first production.
- the protective belt (10A) takes the form of a strip made from synthetic resin fibers, the respective longitudinal ends are provided with “Velcro” tabs (20a and 20b), that is to say means equivalent to a band or a cord, which can be attached to each other. Furthermore, still according to the present embodiment, the strip is also provided with "Velcro” tabs (20c) located locally on the surface of this first which will come into contact with the body (1) of the bag, these "Velcro" tabs facing the respective "Velcro” tabs located on the periphery of the body (1) of the bag to which they will be attached.
- the protective belt (10A) thus formed according to the present embodiment comes surround the transport bag to be used and is held in place by joining the tabs "Velcro” (20c) to the corresponding "Velcro” tabs of the bag and by attaching the tabs "Velcro” terminals (20a and 20b) to each other.
- an opening made in the upper part of the transport bag is open and an opening in the lower part of the latter is closed with the closure cord, in addition to the closure used for bags traditional transport.
- the material to be transported is then inserted into the body (1) of the bag through the upper opening, which has the effect of widening the body (1) of the bag axially and radially and allow the protective belt (10A) to cover practically the entire circumference of the body (1) of the bag and to be held in place on the latter by the "Velcro" tabs (20a and 20b) joined one to the other.
- the protective belt (10a) thus used prevents the body (1) of the bag from tear under the action of an external force.
- the protective belt (10A) can be easily fitted around the body (1) of the transport bag and attached to it last using the "Velcro" tabs (20a, 20b and 20c) to prevent the body (1) of the bag filled with the material to be transported to tear under the action of a force external exerted, for example, by the fork (17) of the forklift (16) when the transport bag (C) is transported
- Figure 5 is a perspective view of the present embodiment.
- the band or the cord is replaced by a "Velvet" band, a means substantially equivalent to a tape or cord.
- the protective belt (10A) takes the form of a band of which one of the longitudinal ends is provided with straps (21a) and of which the other longitudinal one is provided with loops (21b), as illustrated in diagram 5.
- the belt can be easily fitted around the body (1) of a carry bag engaging the straps (2 la) in the loops (21b) to prevent the body of the bag (1) filled with the material to be transported does not tear under the action of an external force exerted, for example, by the fork (17) of the forklift (16) when the bag of transport (C) is transported.
- the belt to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport housed materials in its body, of cylindrical shape which can be easily adapted on the periphery from the body of the bag and fixed thereon by means of elastic retaining bands or cords provided at the upper and lower edges of said belt, is easy to install, inexpensive to make and intended to prevent the bag body from tear under the action of an external force exerted during transport without cause significant increase in the weight of the bag.
