Description

The invention relates to a device for separating stacked flat objects according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

So-called rotary feeders (see, for example, DE-OS 15 36 489, DE-OS 32 08 425, DE-OS 32 14 342), which consist of suction rolls rotatably mounted in rotating drums, are known for separating flat workpieces stacked in stacks as they pass under a stack supported by the drum, suck in the bottom workpiece of the stack at its front edge, pull it off and transfer the individual workpieces thereby to a further conveyor. The separation of workpiece packages with such rotary feeders is problematic at a high separation speed, because the package supported on the rotating drum of the rotary feeder can vibrate in such a way that a secure grasping of the bottom workpiece of the stack by the suction rollers is no longer guaranteed.

Stacked flat workpieces can be separated at high speed using a device of the type specified at the outset, which is known from DE-27 32 591 C2. In this known device, however, it is problematic to place the isolated rectangular objects on the conveying conveyor in such a way that that its side edges are aligned parallel to the conveying direction. Because the side edge or part of this side edge pulled off by the suction cups hits the conveying conveyor at a point in time at which part of the workpiece is still held in contact with the underside of the stack, so that it occurs when the peeled workpiece is deposited the conveying conveyor can come to its warping in such a way that there is no straight storage. It must be doubted that a straight-edged deposit can be achieved on the conveying conveyor if it runs at an acute angle to the moving roller grate in the manner shown in DE-27 32 591 C2.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which the isolated rectangular workpieces can be removed with side edges parallel to the direction of conveyance of the conveying conveyor.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in a device according to the preamble of patent claim 1 by the characterizing features of patent claim 1. Due to the different speeds of the two conveying elements, a distortion of the workpieces which are in each case removed from the stack and dropped onto a conveyor is compensated for by the fact that these are rotated by the different speeds of the two conveyors into a straight-edged position in which the side edges of the separated workpieces are parallel to the conveying direction of the conveyor belt divided into two suction belt conveyors.

According to a preferred embodiment it is provided that the conveyor system consists of two suction belt conveyors, one of which Suction belt conveyor, on which the sucked-in side edge of the workpiece in question falls, is driven more slowly than the other suction belt conveyor, on which the part of the workpiece that was last peeled off from the stack lies.

The conveyor that conveys the individual workpieces can run at an angle to the moving roller grate. However, the conveyor that conveys the individual workpieces preferably runs at right angles to the traveling roller grate.

According to a preferred embodiment it is provided that the speeds of the two suction belt conveyors of the divided conveyor belt can be adjusted separately from one another, so that the straight position of the individual workpieces on the conveying conveyor belt can be adjusted depending on the speed of the moving roller grate and the suction belt conveyor. The speeds of the two suction belt conveyors are expediently also continuously adjustable during operation.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the two suction belt conveyors only extend over such a long length that the rectangular workpieces conveyed by them are aligned with lateral edges lying parallel to the conveying direction. After this desired alignment, the separated workpieces are then expediently handed over to a further conveyor, on which the workpieces can no longer be warped.

The speeds of the two suction belt conveyors are expediently coordinated with one another in such a way that the workpieces reach the joint discharge end of both suction belt conveyors in a straight line. Such a configuration ensures that the individual workpieces are edged straight to a further conveyor can be handed over.

According to an inventive further development, it is provided that a second conveyor belt, which rotates at a higher speed, is connected to the first conveyor belt consisting of two divided suction belt conveyors. With the feed-side deflecting roller of the conveyor belt which is conveying further, a pressure roller which can be lowered on this can cooperate and is controlled in such a way that the workpieces are pulled off the first conveyor belt at times which ensure a correct and timely entry into downstream processing stations which is matched to the machine cycle of downstream machining devices.

To control the pressure roller, a control device can be provided which determines the lowering times of the pressure roller from the signals of a sensor which detects the front edge of the trailing workpiece and a signal transmitter which signals the correct position of this workpiece on the conveyor belt which is conveying onward.

The signal transmitter can be a sensor which detects the angular position of the feed-side deflection roller of the conveyor belt which is conveying onward and correspondingly generates signals with this rotating mark with the same circumferential distribution.

A particular problem with the separation of workpieces from stacks by suction devices, which each pull or pull down the lowest workpiece of the stack for the purpose of separation, arises when these workpieces are flat tube pieces that are sucked in at their cut edges . Because with such a suction, only the lower wall of the hose piece is detected, possibly the upper wall remains in contact with the stack. Such a suction for the purpose of separation can of course lead to considerable disturbances.

So-called staggered tube pieces are often used to produce bags from tube pieces, in which the upper tube wall overlaps the lower one on a cut edge. Such a staggered tube piece made of single-layer paper is known, for example, from US Pat. No. 421,191. According to an inventive further development, it is therefore provided for the safe separation of stacked staggered hose pieces with a suction device that sucks the bottom hose piece of the stack at one edge for the purpose of peeling off the stack or pulling off, that the suction device the upper hose piece wall, which is the lower hose piece overlaps, sucks.

Sind mehrlagige Staffelschlauchstücke zu vereinzeln, saugt der Sauger zweckmäßigerweise zumindest teilweise auch die obere Papierlage der oberen Schlauchstückwandung an.Staggered hose pieces can also consist of multilayer side walls, the individual layers of the side walls then being arranged with respect to one another in such a way that they successively overlap one another. If multi-layer staggered hose pieces are to be separated, the suction device expediently also sucks at least partially the upper paper layer of the upper hose piece wall.

The separating device 1 consists of a machine frame with the side parts 2, 3, on the inner sides of which are attached via holding pieces 4, 5 guide tracks 6, 7 for rollers 8 rotating thereon. The two guide tracks 6, 7 arranged parallel to one another each consist of upper and lower sections running parallel to one another, which are connected to one another by approximately semicircular sections. The rollers 8, which are guided on the guideways 6, 7 and arranged at equal intervals parallel to one another, are attached at their ends to endless chains or traction elements which run in guides (not shown) and are driven by drives (not shown). The rollers 8 consist of cylindrical tube pieces which are freely rotatable on axles, the axle journals 10 of which are attached to the chains or traction elements which move them via the guideways 6, 7.

The rollers rotating over the guideways 6, 7 on endless chains or traction means form with their upper run 11 a moving roller grate, above which a cassette 12 forming a stacking magazine is held on the side parts 2, 3, which serves to hold stacked pieces of paper tube 13 which are processed into paper bags after they have been separated in downstream processing stations. The cassette 12 has four side walls, of which at least one side wall 14 in the direction of the double arrow by a manually operated spindle drive can be adjusted to different tube piece formats.

The bottom of the stacking cassette 12 is formed by the upper run 11 of the traveling roller grate.

Below the upper run 11 of the traveling roller grate, a conveyor belt 16 is arranged between this and the lower run of the traveling roller grate, which consists of parallel suction belt conveyors 17, 18. The conveyor belt 16 runs at right angles to the running direction of the moving roller grate.

The front deflecting rollers 20 of the two suction belt conveyors 17, 18 which run parallel next to one another are mounted on brackets 21 which are fastened to the side frame 2. The endless conveyor belts 17, 18 pass through a rectangular window-like cutout 22 of the side frame 3 and run over the driven deflection rollers 23, 24 forming the discharge ends, which are mounted in the machine frame in a manner not shown. The driven deflection rollers 23, 24 are driven by controlled geared motors M1 and M2 at different speeds, as can be seen schematically in FIG. 2.

The endless conveyor belts 17, 18 provided with corresponding rows of perforations run over suction boxes 25, 26, which are fastened to the side parts 2, 3 in a manner not shown and are at least over the length of the stacking cassette 12 below it in the one from FIGS. 1 and 3 visible way.

The traveling roller grate moves in the direction of arrow A under the stacking cassette 12. Plate-shaped opposite side walls of the stacking cassette carrying plates 30, 31 are provided on their underside with the friction-increasing linings 32, to which the lateral end regions of the freely rotatable, shell-made roller sleeves of the rollers 8 are pressed during their passage under the cassette, so that they are set into a rotating movement with which they are supported in the manner shown in FIG. 3 on the lowest tube piece stacked in the cassette 12.

Each time a roller 8 runs under the cassette 12, two suction cups 35 which are arranged on the left end region of the cassette and can be lifted and lowered laterally on the left end region shown in FIG. 3 grasp the lower front side edge 6 of the lowest stacked hose piece, which is shown in the representation according to FIG. 3 is located on the left, and pull it behind the roller 8 that has just passed through and in front of the trailing roller 8, so that the subsequent roller 8 runs into the wedge-shaped gap between the pulled-down front end of the tube piece and the end region of the next tube piece that is thereby exposed, which then is pulled down again in a corresponding manner by the suction cups moving up and down in time.

The drive of the two suction cups 35, which can be raised and lowered in time with the passage of the rollers 8, is shown schematically in FIG. 4.

The type of peeling of the bottom workpiece from the stacking cassette and the drive of the liftable and lowerable suction device corresponds to the illustration and description in DE-27 32 591 C2, to which reference is made for a more detailed illustration. In contrast to the device described in this publication, however, two singles 35 provided in pairs are provided in the singulation device according to the invention, which each act simultaneously on opposite end regions of the rear edges of the workpieces to be singled. The suction cups 35 are also connected in the manner described in DE-27 32 591 C2 to suction air sources which supply the suction devices 35 with suction air in time.

The pieces of hose sequentially separated from below from the stack held in the cassette 12, after being pulled off in the manner shown in FIG. 3, first hit the suction belt 17 with their side edge first pulled off, while the part still adhering to the stack passes through the continuous rollers 8 of the moving roller grate is increasingly peeled off the stack until the opposite side also completely falls on the other suction belt 18. The delay resulting from this type of storage of the successively deposited workpieces is compensated for by the different speeds of the suction belt conveyors 17, 18, of which the suction belt conveyor 17 is driven at a lower speed than the suction belt conveyor 18. The speed of the two suction belt conveyors 17, 18 is over the separately controllable geared motors M1 and M2 adjustable.

To control the geared motors M1, M2, a computer 40 is provided, which detects the position of the hose pieces thrown onto the suction belt conveyors 17, 18 via sensors 43 and controls the geared motors M1, M2 in such a way that any misalignment is determined such that a delay due to the different speeds the suction belt conveyor is balanced. Of course, the speed of the suction belt conveyor can also be adjusted by hand after visual assessment.

The separating device is connected upstream of a so-called floor layer of a sack manufacturing machine, in which the bottoms, for example cross bottoms, are formed on the sides of the tube pieces provided with the cut edges. To the isolated and transversely conveyed hose sections to be able to process them into bags without interference, it is necessary that the hose sections are transferred from the suction belt conveyors 17, 18 in register, that is, in a manner to the conveyor belt 41, which forms the infeed conveyor into the floor layer, that the workpieces are taken over by this in the correct position at times which are matched to the machine cycle of the subsequent processing stations, so that a timely and correct entry of the workpieces into downstream processing stations is ensured.

The front deflection roller 42 of the conveying conveyor 41 is driven by the geared motor M1 at a higher speed, so that the conveying conveyor belt 41 rotates at a higher speed than the two suction belt conveyors 17, 18 To ensure workpieces, the suction belts 17, 18 transfer the workpieces in such a way that they run onto or over the drive roller 42 of the conveyor 41 at a time during which the workpiece is still held by the suction boxes 25, 26. The position of the respective front edge of the workpiece 13 fed in is determined by a sensor 43. A sensor 44 (incremental encoder) scans teeth or other rastered marks which are connected to the drive roller 42 of the conveyor 41. The sensor 44 forms signals which report the precise passage of a point 46 through the downstream processing device. From the signals of the sensors 43, 44, the computer 47 forms a signal for a drive 48 of a pressure roller 49 that can be raised and lowered, which is lowered onto the drive roller 42 at the correct time in time with the downstream processing machine, and thus a frictional engagement of the workpiece 13 with the conveying conveyor 41 causes so that each workpiece 13 in the correct position and in time from the conveyor 41st is taken over.

In downstream sacking machines, the tube pieces can be provided with cross bottoms or else with folded bottoms, which are molded onto so-called staggered tube pieces.

In Fig. 4 ist ein Staffelschlauchstück 50 vergrößert dargestellt, dessen Wandungen dreilagig ausgebildet sind, wobei auch die einzelnen Lagen jeder Seitenwand gestaffelt zueinander angeordnet sind.4, a staggered tube piece 50 is shown enlarged, the walls of which are constructed in three layers, the individual layers of each side wall also being staggered with respect to one another.

In order to avoid pulling off only the lower wall of the hose section from the stacking magazine, the suction device 35 engages the layers of the upper wall which overlap the layers of the lower hose wall, so that the sucked-in end of the hose section is completely pulled out of the stacking magazine without any further an upper wall sticks to it.
