Die erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltung der Bogenführungstrommel beruht auf der Erkenntnis, daß der Bogen nach dem Verlassen der Drucklinie sich unabhängig von seiner Dicke an die Bogenführungsrolle anlegt und sich der Abwicklungsgeschwindigkeit der Trommeloberfläche anpaßt. Es wurde daher gefunden, daß es zur Vermeidung einer Beeinträchtigung der Druckqualität ausreichend ist, wenn der Außendurchmesser der Bogenführungstrommel nur in einem Teilbereich, nämlich dem ersten Umfangsabschnitt auf die Dicke des jeweiligen Druckträgers einstellbar ist. Vorzugsweise erstreckt sich der erste Umfangsabschnitt der Mantelfolie über einen Sektor der Bogenführungstrommel von annähernd 160°, wobei sich dieser Umfangsabschnitt unmittelbar an die Greiferauflage anschließt. Weiterhin hat sich als vorteilhaft erwiesen, wenn das verstellbare Element durch ein radial bewegbares Segment gebildet ist, auf dem die Mantelfolie mit ihrer Innenfläche aufliegt. Durch die Position des Segments ist auch die Position der Mantelfolie genau bestimmt und der jeweils eingestellte Außendurchmesser ist von temperaturbedingten Längenänderungen der Mantelfolie unabhängig. Das Segment kann vorteilhaft in einem Winkelabstand von etwa 70° bis 120°, vorzugsweise in einem Winkelabstand von 90°, von der Greiferauflage angeordnet sein. Zusätzlich kann vorgesehen sein, daß die Lage des Segments in Umfangsrichtung veränderbar ist. Vorzugsweise weist das verstellbare Element bzw. Als besonders vorteilhaft hat sich erwiesen, wenn das vordere Ende der Mantelfolie an der Greiferauflage befestigt und das entgegengesetzte Ende durch eine Feder gespannt ist. Wie die Darstellung in Figur 2 zeigt, wird durch die beschriebene Verstellung des Segments 7 die kreiszylindrische Ausgangsform der Mantelfolie 10 im Umfangsabschnitt Y in Richtung einer elliptischen Zylinderform verändert. Der erforderliche Verstellbereich des Segments 7 ist jedoch im Verhältnis zum Radius der Mantelfläche 9 so klein, daß die sich hierdurch ergebende Abweichung von der Form des Kreiszylinders in der Praxis keine feststellbare Auswirkung hat.
