Definitions
- the present invention relates to a foldable post, for example for the optional release or blocking of a driveway, a parking lot or the like, with a base part which can be lowered into the floor, to which the post is generally attached, and with a part which can be pivoted about an axis relative to the base part Post part.
- foldable posts are used in many ways, for example to secure and block private parking spaces or driveways against use by unauthorized persons. Driveways that are only intended to be used exceptionally, for example by fire brigades and ambulances, but which are not intended for normal traffic, are also sometimes provided with such folding posts secured, whereby the auxiliary services carry appropriate tools or keys for folding down the posts.
- a disadvantage of these posts is that they can easily be overlooked lying on the floor after being folded over and can thus become a "stumbling block" or otherwise cause accidents. This applies e.g. in parking lots, if the parking lot is used and for this reason the post is folded over, either because the vehicle, which is still partially above the post, does not allow the post to be raised, or simply to avoid having to reposition the post before continuing.
- attempts are usually made to counter the risk of accidents by painting the posts in signal colors, for example with red / white stripes, this is also not sufficient to exclude accidents with certainty and in particular is not sufficient to meet any liability claims.
- the design options for corresponding traffic areas are also impaired by the requirement to clearly identify such posts.
- Another possibility would basically be to completely lower the post in its (upright) longitudinal direction, but this requires the excavation of deep pits and the provision of a corresponding guide and a mechanism for lowering and pulling out the post.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a foldable post with the features mentioned, in which the risk of accidents in the folded-down state of the post are substantially eliminated without the need for conspicuous identification of the post.
- This object is achieved in that the position of the folding axis of the post is arranged in a region of the foot part which, in normal installation, is below the floor level, with a post adjacent to the foot part being provided in the floor for mounting the folded part of the post when the post is mounted.
- the post disappears into the ground without the need to dig a deep pit.
- the recess has a cross section adapted to the post part, which as a result leads to the post part being flush with the floor level in the folded state.
- the recess in question can be bricked or made of a cast part embedded in the floor, e.g. made of concrete.
- the recess consists of a trough embedded in the floor, which is preferably made of metal.
- a tub can simply be embedded in the floor like a normal, somewhat larger paving stone and e.g. B. integrated into an existing paving or embedded in asphalt.
- the tub is particularly securely fixed when it is embedded in a concrete foundation, which is particularly important in the case of expected high loads, e.g. B. driving by truck, the preferred embodiment of the invention corresponds.
- a trough is formed in one piece with a corresponding post foot part, since the post in any case requires a foot part set into the ground, to which a shaft or a joint is fastened, about the axis of which the post part can be pivoted.
- the trough and / or the foot part are preferably provided with anchoring elements, for example with laterally projecting flanges, bolts or the like, which can be welded on or otherwise attached to the outside of the trough or the foot part.
- the axis should preferably be arranged in such a way that the upper side of the post part which is folded over is flush with the floor level.
- a cover plate can be provided and welded on this upper side of the post part in the folded state, which covers the recess in the folded state, this cover plate can also protrude laterally beyond the post cross-section and these laterally projecting sections in a fold or a step-shaped Recess can be added to the edge of the recess.
- This cover plate or the upper side of the post in the folded state can expediently consist of a sheet metal and be welded to a post with any cross section, so that such an embodiment is particularly suitable for round posts, but of course also in connection with triangular in cross section , rectangular and in particular square posts can be used.
- This tread plate can in particular have corrugations or other non-slip structures which help to prevent sliding on this surface when the post is folded down.
- An embodiment of the invention is preferred, in which a separate cover plate is additionally provided, which covers the recess when the post is erected.
- a separate cover plate is additionally provided, which covers the recess when the post is erected.
- the separate cover plate does not have to be removed separately in order to be able to fold down the post, but rather in which the separate cover plate can in turn be countersunk into the recess, preferably by means of a countersink mechanism which is caused by the Folding over the post part is actuated and, conversely, when the post part is erected, the cover plate is raised again into its position covering the recess.
- the recess must then be made correspondingly deeper, since then it must not only accommodate the post cross-section, but also the cover plate and, if appropriate, a countersink mechanism arranged thereon or below.
- An embodiment of the invention is particularly suitable in which the countersinking mechanism consists of at least two articulated members spaced apart from one another, which are each articulated to corresponding articulated pieces both in the bottom region of the recess and on the underside of the cover plate.
- the axis, around which the post part can be folded preferably runs outside the post part and directly at the lower end of the post part, specifically in the transition region or in the vicinity of the transition region between the foot part which can be lowered into the ground and the recess which adjoins it.
- At least one of the articulated members of the countersink mechanism is connected to the post portion such that it is folded down simultaneously with the fixed but articulated attachment of one end of the articulated members to the bottom of the recess and the articulated attachment of the other end on the cover plate, this cover plate is lowered or raised by pivoting the articulated members, depending on the direction of the post movement.
- the lower end of the post part also moves along a circular arc (by 90 °) around the pivot axis, so that when the pivot axis extends outside the lower end of the post, the post part is largely lifted out of the foot part of the post and releases its upper opening.
- a lower post extension is provided on the side of the post part facing away from the axis, which covers the foot part in the folded-down state of the post.
- the foot part In order to be able to accommodate the pivoting movement of this post extension, the foot part must be correspondingly widened on its side facing away from the recess.
- This extension can also be covered by a permanent sheet or other cover. If the post extension and the cover plate overlap, the overlap end of the post extension can be cranked to prevent the cover from being pushed up.
- a vertical post part 1 is shown on the left, which can be pivoted along an arc K about an axis 7 by essentially 90 °. From an upright position shown in a solid line on the left into a horizontal position and essentially taken up in the tub 3.
- the tub 3 is made of sheet metal and is either welded together from sheet metal plates or formed with the aid of appropriate tools and is preferably formed in one piece (by welding) with a foot part 10, which extends a little deeper in the vertical direction into the floor, which is on the right and left in Figure 1 is indicated by the floor level 15.
- the foot part 10 and also the tub 3 have a substantially rectangular cross section.
- the post part 1 is mounted on a joint part defining the pivot axis 7, which in turn is fastened to a base plate 8 which can be mounted separately in the tub 3 and, if appropriate, is screwed to the tub 3. The base plate and the associated mechanism can then be easily replaced if necessary.
- the upper tub opening is covered by a cover plate 4.
- This cover plate 4 is shown again in dashed lines in a lowered position.
- the lowering mechanism consists of two joint members 9, which are distributed at regular intervals over the length of the tub 3 or the cover plate 4.
- a lower joint part 11 is fixed to the base plate 8 and allows pivoting of the joint member 9 about the axis 7 or about an axis parallel to the axis 7.
- a similar joint member 12 is fastened to the underside of the cover plate 4 and thus establishes the articulated connection to the joint member 9.
- the post 1 is fixedly attached to one hinge part (or wing) and the other part (hinge wing) of the hinge piece 11 is fastened to the base plate 8. Accordingly, the upper joint piece 12 is attached to the post with one wing and to the cover plate 4 with the other. When the post is folded down, the joint members 9 are then simultaneously pivoted together with the post part 1 via the cover plate 4.
- the upper hinge piece 12, to which the cover plate 4 is attached is pivoted about the axis 7 of the hinge piece 11 and, because of the rigid connection between all the upper hinge pieces 12, which is produced by the cover plate 4, all the hinge members 9 pivot about the same time Axes of the lower joint pieces 11, which run parallel to the axis 7. This also moves the front edge of the cover plate 4 shown on the right around a corresponding circular arc k, as well as all other parts of the upper cover 4. Finally, the cover 4 reaches the lower parts above the joint pieces 11, 12 and the joint members now extending horizontally 9 position shown. The post part 1 rests on the lowered cover plate 4, its rear tread 5 now taking over the function of the cover plate 4 and being flush with the floor level 15.
- the details of the sinking mechanism are only schematic here are shown and, for example, the hinge pieces 11, 12 on the far left at the lower end of the post can be attached at a sufficiently large distance from the post part 1 to enable the left end of the cover plate 4 in the folded state still between the hinge piece 12 and the post part 1 sets.
- the side 5 of the post part 1 facing away from the axis 7 has a lower extension 6, because in the folded state the lower end 2 of the post part 1, which ends approximately with the lower joint piece 11, in the folded state in the vertical direction ends approximately with the lower hinge piece 11, so that a corresponding free space above the transition between the foot part 10 and the tub 3 would remain open, but which is now covered by the extension 6, which extends along a circular arc shown in dashed lines into the position also shown in dashed lines emotional.
- this extension 6 can move along this circular arc, the foot part 10 is correspondingly widened on its side facing away from the tub 3, and in the area of this widening an upper cover 14 ′ is again provided, which also serves as a stop when the post part 1 is erected .
- the extension 6 could also extend so far that it overlaps with the cover 14 '(in the folded state) and then be cranked accordingly in the area overlapping with the cover 14'.
- tub 3 and / or the foot part 10 below the floor level, preferably at its lower edge, bottle parts or the like, which can be folded on the tub or foot part for easier transport, and the z . B. be concreted into a corresponding foundation bed. Due to the connection between the tub and the foot section, one can also dispense with expensive separate fixing measures for the foot section 10, i.e. the foot section 10 does not need a particularly deep anchoring of the foot section, as is the case with conventional, removable or foldable posts, in order to prevent breakout, since a corresponding securing function is also provided is already fulfilled by the tub 3 which is firmly connected to the foot part 10 and in turn well anchored via flanges or the like.
- the foot part 10 is open on its underside, so it has either a floor grille, a base plate with holes or a completely open lower end face and a gravel layer or other drainage layer should be provided under the foot part so that water penetrating into the tub 3 or the foot part 10 can drain quickly.
- the bottom of the tub can be slightly inclined towards the foot section to avoid water accumulation. This inclination can be compensated for by spacers or lining elements under the base plate 8, so that the receiving space for the post 1 and the lowering mechanism for the cover plate 4 are not affected by the inclination of the base of the tub.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a foldable post, for example for the optional release or blocking of a driveway, a parking lot or the like, with a base part which can be lowered into the floor, to which the post is generally attached, and with a part which can be pivoted about an axis relative to the base part Post part. Such foldable posts are used in many ways, for example to secure and block private parking spaces or driveways against use by unauthorized persons. Driveways that are only intended to be used exceptionally, for example by fire brigades and ambulances, but which are not intended for normal traffic, are also sometimes provided with such folding posts secured, whereby the auxiliary services carry appropriate tools or keys for folding down the posts.
A disadvantage of these posts, however, is that they can easily be overlooked lying on the floor after being folded over and can thus become a "stumbling block" or otherwise cause accidents. This applies e.g. in parking lots, if the parking lot is used and for this reason the post is folded over, either because the vehicle, which is still partially above the post, does not allow the post to be raised, or simply to avoid having to reposition the post before continuing. Although attempts are usually made to counter the risk of accidents by painting the posts in signal colors, for example with red / white stripes, this is also not sufficient to exclude accidents with certainty and in particular is not sufficient to meet any liability claims. The design options for corresponding traffic areas are also impaired by the requirement to clearly identify such posts.
There are also posts which do not have such disadvantages and which, for example, can be removed as a whole, but this in turn presupposes that there is adequate space for temporary storage of the post, where again the risk of accidents must be essentially excluded. Of course, this can also lead to the loss or theft of a dismantled post.
Another possibility would basically be to completely lower the post in its (upright) longitudinal direction, but this requires the excavation of deep pits and the provision of a corresponding guide and a mechanism for lowering and pulling out the post.
Based on this prior art, the present invention has for its object to provide a foldable post with the features mentioned, in which the risk of accidents in the folded-down state of the post are substantially eliminated without the need for conspicuous identification of the post.
This object is achieved in that the position of the folding axis of the post is arranged in a region of the foot part which, in normal installation, is below the floor level, with a post adjacent to the foot part being provided in the floor for mounting the folded part of the post when the post is mounted.
In this way, as in the case of a post that can be lowered vertically in its longitudinal direction, the post disappears into the ground without the need to dig a deep pit.
It is of course expedient if the recess has a cross section adapted to the post part, which as a result leads to the post part being flush with the floor level in the folded state. The recess in question can be bricked or made of a cast part embedded in the floor, e.g. made of concrete.
However, an embodiment of the invention is preferred in which the recess consists of a trough embedded in the floor, which is preferably made of metal. Such a tub can simply be embedded in the floor like a normal, somewhat larger paving stone and e.g. B. integrated into an existing paving or embedded in asphalt. The tub is particularly securely fixed when it is embedded in a concrete foundation, which is particularly important in the case of expected high loads, e.g. B. driving by truck, the preferred embodiment of the invention corresponds.
It is also expedient if such a trough is formed in one piece with a corresponding post foot part, since the post in any case requires a foot part set into the ground, to which a shaft or a joint is fastened, about the axis of which the post part can be pivoted. The trough and / or the foot part are preferably provided with anchoring elements, for example with laterally projecting flanges, bolts or the like, which can be welded on or otherwise attached to the outside of the trough or the foot part.
As already mentioned, the axis should preferably be arranged in such a way that the upper side of the post part which is folded over is flush with the floor level. In particular, a cover plate can be provided and welded on this upper side of the post part in the folded state, which covers the recess in the folded state, this cover plate can also protrude laterally beyond the post cross-section and these laterally projecting sections in a fold or a step-shaped Recess can be added to the edge of the recess. In this way, the flush closure of the post with the upper edge of the trough and thus also with the floor level is ensured in a particularly simple manner, regardless of the post cross section and the adaptation of the cutout to this cross section, provided the cutout is in any case deep enough, around the post cross section to record.
This cover plate or the upper side of the post in the folded state can expediently consist of a sheet metal and be welded to a post with any cross section, so that such an embodiment is particularly suitable for round posts, but of course also in connection with triangular in cross section , rectangular and in particular square posts can be used. This tread plate can in particular have corrugations or other non-slip structures which help to prevent sliding on this surface when the post is folded down.
An embodiment of the invention is preferred, in which a separate cover plate is additionally provided, which covers the recess when the post is erected. Again, such an embodiment is particularly desirable, in which the separate cover plate does not have to be removed separately in order to be able to fold down the post, but rather in which the separate cover plate can in turn be countersunk into the recess, preferably by means of a countersink mechanism which is caused by the Folding over the post part is actuated and, conversely, when the post part is erected, the cover plate is raised again into its position covering the recess.
It goes without saying that the recess must then be made correspondingly deeper, since then it must not only accommodate the post cross-section, but also the cover plate and, if appropriate, a countersink mechanism arranged thereon or below. An embodiment of the invention is particularly suitable in which the countersinking mechanism consists of at least two articulated members spaced apart from one another, which are each articulated to corresponding articulated pieces both in the bottom region of the recess and on the underside of the cover plate.
The axis, around which the post part can be folded, preferably runs outside the post part and directly at the lower end of the post part, specifically in the transition region or in the vicinity of the transition region between the foot part which can be lowered into the ground and the recess which adjoins it. At least one of the articulated members of the countersink mechanism is connected to the post portion such that it is folded down simultaneously with the fixed but articulated attachment of one end of the articulated members to the bottom of the recess and the articulated attachment of the other end on the cover plate, this cover plate is lowered or raised by pivoting the articulated members, depending on the direction of the post movement.
This also results in a movement of the cover plate in its longitudinal direction, e.g. the front end of the cover plate facing away from the post moves along an arc of a circle whose radius corresponds to the radius of the articulated links, the axis of this circular arc being parallel to the fixed axis of the articulated links. For this purpose, an extension of the recess is provided, which absorbs this movement of the cover plate, this extension in turn preferably being closed by a permanent, firm cover on its upper side, which ends at the floor level.
The lower end of the post part also moves along a circular arc (by 90 °) around the pivot axis, so that when the pivot axis extends outside the lower end of the post, the post part is largely lifted out of the foot part of the post and releases its upper opening. For this purpose, a lower post extension is provided on the side of the post part facing away from the axis, which covers the foot part in the folded-down state of the post. In order to be able to accommodate the pivoting movement of this post extension, the foot part must be correspondingly widened on its side facing away from the recess. This extension can also be covered by a permanent sheet or other cover. If the post extension and the cover plate overlap, the overlap end of the post extension can be cranked to prevent the cover from being pushed up.

The
In the erected state of the post part 1, the upper tub opening is covered by a
It is understood that the details of the sinking mechanism are only schematic here are shown and, for example, the
It can also be seen in FIG. 1 that the side 5 of the post part 1 facing away from the
The
In Figure 2 you can see the entire post again in a plan view, looking left at the square cross section of the post part 1 and the
In this way it is ensured that in the erected state of the post part 1 as well as in the folded state no accident-prone floor opening remains open. Rather, all floor openings, which are provided for receiving both the erected and the folded post part, are covered in the erected state of the post, while in the folded state of the post part 1 it itself (including its extension 6) takes over the covering function for all floor openings and so on the sunken post is completely flush with floor level 15. The corresponding posts, including the foot section and
The
