Definitions
- the invention relates to a segment filter cigarette according to the Preamble of claim 1.
- a common problem with conventional cigarettes relates to the fact that they are used in standard smoking an increase in the amount of condensate per train with increasing smoke length or show number of moves. Because light and ultra light Cigarettes only according to the value printed on the box may have low amounts of condensate per total cigarette, this change in the amount of condensate causes these cigarettes insufficient when smoking and on the first few moves Have plenty of flavor and only after a few moves the expected Achieve taste.
- the smoking article described there has a tobacco rod with two axial segments, the segment which is not lit, has an average density that is at least Is 20% greater than the average density of the segment to be lit. Furthermore, the segment to be lit has a nicotine content, which is higher than that of the non-ignitable Segments in this way, even with the first moves to deliver a strong taste impression.
- segment filter cigarette which the Overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art described above.
- a segment filter cigarette is proposed that do not have an abrupt difference in taste Has segment transition and the same or similar tobacco in can use the segments. This can increase the vigor the first few moves not only due to the tobacco rod construction, but also by combining it with a special filter can be reinforced.
- Such a coaxial structure allows a different one Design of the inner and outer sections of the segments regarding the desired taste effect.
- the design of the train resistance in the inner and outer Sections affect the taste effect in this respect that no one is caused by different tobacco abrupt difference in taste at the segment transition arises even though the inner cores of the segments as well as the coats the segments have the same or similar condensate potential, which means that the same for the successive segments or very similar tobacco can be used.
- the cigarette created according to the invention very good taste characteristics even during the first puffs of smoke has that over the entire course of smoking are essentially maintained. This will the total amount of condensate generated during smoking distributed more evenly across the individual trains.
- the length of the entire tobacco rod of an inventive Cigarette can be 40 to 100 mm and will preferably be 45 to 70 mm.
- the inner cores of the tobacco rod a diameter of 3 to 6 mm and preferably 4.5 to 5.5 mm exhibit. What is the length of the first burning segment relates, this is the preferred embodiment 0.1 to 0.8 times and preferably 0.3 to 0.4 times correspond to the total length of the tobacco rod.
- Both the inner cores and the shells preferably have an additional joint covering of the different segments, which is made of paper or tobacco foil.
- This measure can be an economical manufacture for the longitudinal axial Strand formation can be guaranteed.
- this common wrapping can also be used as a single wrapping serve.
- the segment filter cigarette according to the invention is preferred characterized in that it is a coaxial, from a Filter core, an envelope for the filter core, a filter jacket and an envelope for the filter jacket existing Has filter, the filter core and filter jacket from known Filter materials, in particular made of fibers or fleece are.
- the diameter of the filter core can be 2.5 up to 6.5 mm and preferably 3.5 to 5.5 mm in size.
- the envelope of the filter core advantageously consists of Paper or tobacco foil, foil material is also possible Cellulose acetate or polyolefins, such as in particular polyethylene or polypropylene, and has low air permeability on or is preferably impermeable to air.
- the Filters have further filter segments adjoining the mouth.
- the coaxial filter elements are one preferred Design of the segment filter cigarette according to the invention trained that one of the two coaxial filter parts, namely Filter core or jacket, has a high filter efficiency, while the other has a low filter efficiency having.
- the first embodiment of the segment filter cigarette according to the The present invention is characterized in that the ratio the tensile resistance of the jacket of the first to burn Segment to the tensile resistance of the inner core of the first burning Segment is smaller than the ratio of the tensile resistance of the jacket of the filter-side segment to the draw resistance the inner core of the filter-side segment, where the tobacco of both coats has a high condensate potential.
- the filter-side segment is preferably the smoke its inner core, i.e. the area with low condensate potential, sucked in, so that the taste effect of the two Segments remain essentially the same strength.
- Segment filter cigarette is referred to as Version A can be called.
- the version A cigarette has a draw resistance of the jacket of the first burning segment, based on 63 mm tobacco rod length 20 to 40 mm WS, preferably 25 to 35 mm WS, while the tensile resistance of the inner core is 300 to 600 mm WS and preferably about 450 to 550 mm WS.

- the diameter of the filter core 3i corresponds to that of the tobacco rod core.
- the sheath 32 for the filter jacket 3a can either be inherent be air permeable or from an air impermeable Be made of material in the usual way, for example with laser beams, perforations and thereby making it permeable to air to the desired To supply filter ventilation.
- the basic principle of this segment cigarette is that through suitable adaptation of the condensate potentials of the two Segments 1, 2 the force of the first moves is increased.
- the first segment 1 is smoked, essentially the smoke from its area with high condensate potential sucked in, which is what is coordinated accordingly
- the two segments 1, 2 of the tobacco rod can be the coaxial Filter 3 is another significant contribution to raising the Achieve the strength of the first moves. This happens because that depending on the difference between the flow conditions in the strand, which in turn is changing from the depend on the train resistance conditions there, and the flow conditions in the filter an ever increasing proportion of the Smoke introduced into the respective highly effective filter area until segment 1 is smoked.
- the strand length is Ls, i.e. the length of the total, tobacco rod consisting of the two segments 1 and 2, about 60 mm; the diameter of the inner core 1i, 2i of the two Segments is about 5 mm.
- the total diameter of the tobacco rod and the filter 3 has the usual value of about 7.9 mm.
- Version A has the tobacco of both coats 1a, 2a a very high condensate potential, both being the same as well as different tobacco materials are used can, while according to the general explained above Adjust the tobacco materials of the two inner cores 1i, 2i have very low condensate potential. Become same tobacco materials used, so the different condensate potentials due to different tobacco densities be achieved. However, different tobaccos are preferred used.
- the tobacco materials have the two inner cores 1i, 2i, which are either the same or different can have a very high condensate potential, while the tobacco materials of the two coats 1a, 2a, which are also the same or can be different, a low condensate potential to have.
- the tobacco materials of the two coats 1a, 2a which are also the same or can be different, a low condensate potential to have.
- the two tobacco rod segments 1, 2 have one clearly different ratio q of their respective train resistances Za / Zi, where Za is the tensile resistance of the tobacco jacket 1a, 2a and Zi mean the tensile resistance of the inner core 1i, 2i.
- the tobaccos of the two inner cores have 1i and 2i the same or a very similar condensate potential that however, is much lower than the condensate potential of the two coats 1a and 2a.
- the smoke and Taste conditions will further depend on the ratio the tensile resistance Za of a jacket to the tensile resistance Zi one Inner core turned off.
- the ratio the tensile resistances q1 in segment 1 must be less than the ratio q2 of the tensile resistances Za / Zi in segment 2.
- the choice of the length L1 of the first segment 1 determines the number the "reinforced" trains, i.e. the size of the effect achieved.
- the length has L1, based on the Total length Ls of the tobacco rod with the two segments 1, 2, a value of 0.35 Ls.

- the tensile resistance Zi of the inner core 1i of the first segment 1 has, based on the total length of the tobacco rod of 63 mm, a value of about 500 mm WS.
- the length of the second segment 2 results from that above mentioned adjustment of the length L1 of the first segment in this example 0.65 Ls.
- the tensile resistance Za of the jacket 2a of the second segment 2 has, based on the total length of the tobacco rod with the two segments 1 and 2 of 63 mm, a value of about 150 mm WS.
- the tensile resistance Zi of the inner core 2i of the second segment 2 is, based on the total length of the tobacco rod 63 mm, about 100 mm WS.
- the filter effectiveness of the inner core 3i of the filter 3 has one Value of about 20%, while the filter effectiveness of the jacket 3a of the filter 3 is approximately 95%.
- the filter ventilation caused either by the inherent Porosity of the filter casing 32 or through perforations, has a value of about 40% to 70%.
- train resistances are dependent on the one used To specify filter ventilation of filter 3 so that the ratio sf of the sheath 3a of the coaxial filter 3 flowing smoke stream to the 3i in the filter core of the coaxial filter 3 inflowing smoke flow about the same the ratio s2 of the shell 2a of the second segment 2 flowing out after smoking the first segment 1 Smoke flow to that from the inner core 2i of the second segment 2 flowing out after smoking the first segment 1 Is smoke flow.
- the segment is exposed to wear and tear 1 initially preferably smoke from the jacket 1a of this segment 1 sucked in, which gives a relatively strong taste impression already when smoking and the first few puffs of this cigarette arises.
- the tensile resistance ratio q changes when smoking of segment 1 inevitably until about the tensile resistance ratio q2 of segment 2 is reached.
- This remains constant during further smoking, as explained by Adjustment of train resistance and filter 3 causes that smoke from segment 2 preferably smoke from the inner core 2i is sucked.
- its filter jacket 3a with version A a high filter efficiency has, while the filter effectiveness of the filter core 3i is comparatively small.
- a growing proportion of smoke in the highly effective filter jacket 3a until segment 1 is smoked.
- the length L1 of the first segment 1 has, based on the total length of the tobacco rod, about the same value as for the Version A.
- the tensile resistance Za of the jacket 1a of the segment 1 is based on the total length of the tobacco rod of 63 mm, approximately 150 mm WS.
- the tensile resistance Zi of the inner core 1i of the first segment 1 based on the total length of the tobacco rod of 63 mm, at about 70 mm WS.
- the tensile resistance Za of the jacket 2a of the second segment 2 is, based on a total length of the tobacco rod of 63 mm, about 30 mm WS.
- the tensile resistance Zi of the inner core 2i of the second segment 2 is based on the total length of the tobacco rod of 63 mm at about 150 mm WS.
- the inner core 3i of the coaxial filter 3 has a filter effectiveness of about 95%, while the filter effectiveness of the jacket 3a of the coaxial filter 3 has a filter efficiency of approximately Has 20%.
- the filter ventilation is around 40% to 70%.
- the filter helps to increase the strength of the first moves in that a growing proportion of the smoke in the highly effective filter segment, namely in Depends on the difference between the flow conditions in the line and the flow conditions in the filter, up to segment 1 is smoked.
