Definitions
- Intermediate plugs in particular electrical ones, are known. They regularly serve to connect incompatible plugs and / or sockets or they have circuit elements such as switches or filters and the like.
- a control cable for flash synchronization is usually provided with a plug which is plugged into a socket on the part of the camera containing the shutter, the housing or the lens.
- plugs and couplings according to DIN 19003 are used.
- connection is often disconnected due to unintentional pulling on the control cable, since the friction causes only a low holding force.
- the object of the innovation is to improve the mechanical connection between a plug and a socket, in particular to increase the holding force.
- an adapter plug according to claim 1 with a socket with a hollow cylinder and a device for compressing the hollow cylinder and with a plug with an outer cylinder with the protruding catch.
- the adapter 1 according to the invention shown in longitudinal section in FIG. 1 is designed to interact with plugs and couplings of the type customary for the flash synchronization control line of cameras, in particular according to the standard DIN 19003.
- the intermediate plug 1 consists of a socket B and a plug S.
- the hollow cylinder 13 forms the mechanical contact surface and the electrical contact surface of the outer pole of the socket B.
- a clamping screw 14 it (13) can be pressed together and then the cylindrical pole piece of a suitable plug jam.
- the outer cylinder 11 of the plug S forms a common part 10 with the hollow cylinder 13.
- the outer cylinder 11 has a circumferential elevation as the locking cam 12.
- a metal sleeve 17 is pressed onto the insulating part 16. On the one hand, this clamps the pin 15 firmly in the insulating part 16 and secondly supports the outer pole of a plug which may be clamped in the hollow cylinder 13.
- the hollow cylinder 13 can be slit several times lengthways, as is usual with collets, in order to facilitate the clamping.
- FIG 2 shows schematically in section the plug part S of the intermediate plug 1 inserted into a socket 211.
- This socket 211 largely corresponds to the socket part B of the intermediate plug 1 or a socket according to standard DIN 19003.
- An elastic is embedded in a groove of the hollow cylinder 213 (Rubber) ring 214.
- the hollow cylindrical inner contact 252 is fastened in the socket 211 with an insulating piece 216.
- Such a socket 211 is commercially available in photo lenses with a central shutter from Carl Zeiss.
- the hollow cylinder 213 of the bushing 211 is in frictional mechanical (snug fit) and electrical contact with the circumferential locking cam 12 of the intermediate connector 1.
- the elastic ring 214 rests on the rear part of the outer cylinder 11 and the circumferential locking cam 12 and thus forms a snap-in connection of the bushing 211 and adapter plug 1, the holding force of which is considerably higher than that of the customary fit, even if the rubber ring 214 in the bushing 211 provides increased friction, which on the other hand can also be easily released by hand.
- the clamp connection of the female part B of the intermediate connector 1 with an inserted connector is designed so that the holding force is significantly higher than that of the snap-in connection of the intermediate connector 1 and the socket 211, so that during routine handling for connecting and disconnecting the connection between the socket 211 and the cable with the existing connector, the intermediate connector 1 remains reliably connected to the connector and cable.
- the adapter plug 1 can also be inserted into any standard-compliant socket without a rubber ring, so that it is fully compatible with standard parts.
- FIG. 1 The preferred application of the new adapter plug 1 in a camera is shown schematically in FIG.
- a camera 2 consisting of housing 22 and lens 21 with central shutter 212 carries on the lens 21 a socket 211 according to FIG. 2, to which the flash synchronization signal is present.
- a flash unit 3 (electron flash) is mechanically connected to the camera 2 by known means and has a connecting cable 31 with a plug 311 according to the DIN 19003 standard. This plug 311 is clamped in the intermediate plug 1 and the intermediate plug 1 is in the socket 211 according to FIG snapped onto the lens 21. The cable connection from the camera 2 to the flash unit 3 is thus reliably secured against unintentional disconnection.
- an adapter plug according to the innovation is not limited to the dimensioning and use according to the example from the photo technology.
- Other, also multi-pole, connector formats and e.g. Versions as an optical fiber coupling are also possible.
- the holding force is increased by the intermediate plug according to the invention by a locking cam on the intermediate plug in cooperation with the elastic element of the one element of the plug / socket pair creates a snap connection and the other element is clamped to the adapter plug.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1
- zeigt einen beispielhaften Zwischenstecker im Schnitt;
- Figur 2
- zeigt einen Zwischenstecker eingesteckt in eine Buchse mit elastischem Ring;
- Figur 3
