Description

The invention relates to a coaxial angle connector for mounting on a circuit board with at least two Coaxial contacts, on the one hand, a plug connection end and on the other hand a connection end for attachment and Have contacting in PCB holes, where the coaxial contacts in one of two partial or half shells assembled, electrically conductive housing block are arranged, the center conductor of the coaxial contacts electrically insulated against the partial shells guided through recesses in the interior of the partial shells are, and wherein a wall is provided between the center conductors is that the center conductors are electrically against each other shields.

Such angle connectors become a plug-in connection of multipole coaxial connectors with one Printed circuit board used, possibly also several of the module-like Angle connector strung together in an insulating housing are provided on the circuit board. there it must be ensured that proper shielding the coaxial contacts, d. H. of their middle leads within of the housing block is present against each other. About that In addition, the modular angle connector should be as possible be small and space-saving.

Coaxial angle connectors are known from EP-A-0 613 215, the one modular, assembled from two partial shells Have housing block in which the center conductor of the coaxial contacts within the block a wall or wall parts are shielded from each other.

With this generally satisfactory arrangement is the shielding wall by two superimposed Partial walls of each half-shell formed. However, it is at the separation or joining point - albeit more closely - there is a gap between the adjacent center conductors, so that the high frequency shielding between the two center conductors is broken and not as optimal and considered sufficient for all applications can be.

The invention has for its object an angle connector of the type mentioned at the beginning that improved shielding of the center conductors of the coaxial contacts within the module-like housing block of the angle connector is achieved.

This object is achieved in that the partial shells one each between the center conductors of the coaxial contacts have trending partition, and that the height the partition walls and their geometric arrangement so dimensioned is that this is with assembled partial shells overlap.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are in the Claims 2 to 4 specified.

The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular in that proper high-frequency shielding adjacent center conductor against each other within of the housing block is reached. The improved Shielding is based on the fact that the Joining the two partial shells resulting gap between neighboring center conductors are not straight between runs in the middle, but to a certain extent forms a maze, with a mutual influence adjacent center conductor in high-frequency terms is completely excluded.

To also get a high-frequency radiation from the center conductors outwards (to the outside of the angle connector / housing block) completely prevent can be provided be that a partial shell outer, projecting Has walls that in corresponding recesses intervene in the other shell. Here too is then not a smooth, continuous gap to the outside, but there is a labyrinth. Of course, this also applies prevents high frequency interference from can act on the center conductor from the outside.

1 to 4 consists essentially of a flat, rectangular housing block 1, from the narrow side surface 2 of which two coaxial contacts 3 protrude, which are known as coaxial plug-in connections with a central conductor 4 and a contact and surrounding it Shielding sleeve 5 are formed.
3 protrude from the bottom 6 of the housing block at right angles to the coaxial contacts 3, which are designed to be pressed into metallized holes in a circuit board, not shown here. These connecting posts are each connected to the center conductors 4 of the coaxial contacts or integrally formed on them.
Further connection posts 8 are formed on a metallic base or grounding plate 9, and the base plate itself is anchored in the underside of the housing block 1 and electrically connected to it.
The housing block 1 consists of two flat half or partial shells 10, 11 made of preferably metallic material, which are joined together and are firmly connected to one another by means of rivet pins (not shown here). The partial shells 10, 11 can optionally also be made of plastic material, but then their surfaces are provided on all sides (inside and outside) with a metallization.
The interior of the partial shells is provided with recesses 12, 12 ', in which the center conductor 4 and an insulating sleeve 13, 13' surrounding it are received as a dielectric.

The shielding sleeves are in the front area of the partial shell 10 5 in corresponding holes in the side surface 2 pressed in, as shown in FIG. 4 and in the 5 can be seen. Here are the Shielding sleeves mechanically and electrically with the partial shell connected.

Each partial shell is in the area between the center conductors 4 provided with a wall 14, 15, the height of which the central axis or parting plane 16 of the housing block goes out, with the two walls arranged so that after joining the partial shells side by side lie and overlap, as in the sectional view 6 and 7 can be seen. Completeness half of it should be mentioned that the walls along the Course of the center conductors from the area of the side surface 2 extend here to the area of the bottom 6. Thereby is achieved in that when assembling the partial shells resulting joint gap 17, 17 ', 17 "not straight runs between the center conductors 4, but in the Kind of a labyrinth is formed. One of the middle managers outgoing high-frequency radiation can then do not get from one to the other central conductor, so that proper mutual shielding is in place.

Similar high-frequency relationships result also in the sectional view shown in FIG. 7 in a plane that is perpendicular to the section plane of the Fig. 6 lies. The walls 14, 15 which are angled The course of the center conductor 4 are adapted, are in this Area also formed with such a height that each up to about the central axis or parting plane 18 of the housing block protrude.

Finally, in the sectional representations of FIG. 8 and 9 another housing block with modified partial shells 10 ', 11', the sectional planes being those of 6 and 7 correspond. It is provided that in outer area of the partial shell 10 'or 11' - parallel a protruding wall to the course of the center conductor 4 19, 19 'is formed when joining the partial shells in a corresponding recess 20 of the partial shell 11 'or recess 20' of the partial shell 10 ' or is used. This ensures that the outward-facing joint gap 21 between the two Partial shells also - starting from the middle conductor 4 - not straight outwards, but also in the Kind of a labyrinth is formed, so that from the central conductor outgoing high-frequency emissions can get outside, or that no high-frequency Interference radiation from outside to the center conductors can.
