Hierzu weist das Gehäuse 62 im Unterschied zu dem Gehäuse 12 des Steckverbinders 10 der Fig. 1 Kontaktstifte 70 auf, die in passende Bohrungen in einer Leiterplatte eingesteckt und dann verlötet werden. Die Kontaktstifte 70 sind mit Leiterbahnen auf der Leiterplatte 68 verbunden und dienen zum elektrischen Anschluss des Steckverbinders 60. Weiter sind plattenartige Befestigungsstifte 72 vorgesehen, die sich von einer Unterseite des Gehäuses 62 weg erstrecken. Die Befestigungsstifte 72 dienen nicht der elektrischen Verbindung sondern lediglich der mechanischen Verbindung des Gehäuses 62 mit einer nicht dargestellten Leiterplatte. Die Befestigungsstifte 72 können aus Metall bestehen. Es ist im Rahmen der Erfindung aber auch möglich, die Befestigungsstifte 72 einstückig mit dem Gehäuse 62 aus nicht leitendem Kunststoff auszuführen. In diesem Fall werden die Befestigungsstifte 72 dann in passende Bohrungen bzw. Ausnehmungen in der Leiterplatte eingesteckt und dann beispielsweise verklebt oder verrastet. Claims (6)

  1. Plug connector (10) for data transmission, comprising a housing (12), which is open at least on one side, for the insertion of a matching further plug connector, in particular an HDMI plug, comprising a printed circuit board (18) arranged within the housing (12) and having contact areas (20, 22) for the matching further plug connector, and comprising electronic components (38, 40, 42, 44, 48, 50, 52) for signal processing and/or signal conditioning, which components are arranged on the printed circuit board (18),
    characterized in that
    side edges of the printed circuit board (18) are directly received, at least in sections, in groove guides (34) of the housing (12), wherein the printed circuit board (18) is held centrally in the housing (12) by means of the groove guides (34), wherein the bottom side of the housing (12) has at least one contact area (36) which is not connected to the printed circuit board (18), wherein the housing (12) is composed of electrically conductive material and is electrically connected to the at least one contact area (36), and wherein the plug connector (10) is an HDMI socket.
  2. Plug connector according to claim 1, wherein the printed circuit board (18) is held substantially centrally in the housing (12), so that the printed circuit board (18) can be surrounded in sections by the matching further plug connector, when said plug connector is inserted into the housing (12).
  3. Plug connector according to at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the electronic components (38, 40, 42, 44, 48, 50, 52) are arranged both on a top side and on a bottom side of the printed circuit board (18).
  4. Plug connector according to at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the contact areas (20, 22) for the matching further plug connector are arranged both on a top side and on a bottom side of the printed circuit board (18).
  5. Plug connector according to at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the contact areas (20, 22) are formed by means of a conductive layer of the material of the printed circuit board (18) or are formed on the basis of a conductive layer of the material of the printed circuit board (18).
  6. Plug connector according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the housing (12) has, on its bottom side, contact areas (32, 36) for the positive substance joining connection to contact areas of a base printed circuit board and is provided with electrically conductive connection pins (30) which, starting from the printed circuit board (18), extend through the housing (12) and to the contact areas (32) on the bottom side of the housing (12).
