Description
The invention relates to a multi-pin connector according to the Genus of claim 1.
A multipole connector is known (DE-OS 35 44 125), whose elongated contact elements at right angles on the solder connection side are bent around with conductor tracks of a circuit board that are parallel is arranged to the longitudinal axis of the contact elements, conductively connected to become. The well-known multi-pin connector has as well as others known connector designs have the disadvantage that the space does not need further ver for a given number of contact elements wrestles and that the manufacture and assembly with difficulty are connected, especially if the connector to a so-called ten filter connector should be added, in which within the Connector each contact element connected to a low-pass filter which has a high impedance for high-frequency signals.
The invention has for its object a multipole Steckver binder of the generic type in such a way that he also at a variety of contact elements with particularly small dimensions can be realized. In addition, despite its small size, it is said to be easy to manufacture and assemble and also during training as a filter connector, protected against interference radiation and space-saving can be built.
This task is performed with a generic multi-pin connector solved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are, in particular, that the connector with the smallest dimensions not yet achieved is producible that it is easy to assemble and largely universal can be used as an interface between different devices.
A preferred field of application for the invention is in motor vehicles built-in radios, handheld radios, with radios Control units to be connected, chargers for radio devices, etc.

Fig. 8 einen stark vergrößerten Ausschnitt aus Fig. 6. Fig. 8 shows a greatly enlarged detail of Fig. 6.
Fig. 3. In Figs. 1 and 2, a multi-pole connector 10 is shown having a Isolierstoffblock 11 with three stacked rows of four outlets, to 12 for receiving elongated contact elements 13. The contact elements consist of a socket 14 which merges into a coaxial pin 15 . Feedthrough capacitors 16 sit on the pins 15 , which fit into the openings 12 and whose inner coating is conductively connected to the pins 15 and the outer coating of which is connected to a metal layer 17 , which belongs, for example, to a U-shaped sheet metal part 18 . The sheet metal part surrounds the insulating material block on three sides and has openings 19 for the feedthrough capacitors and an opening 22 for a strip-shaped projection 20 containing the openings 12 . In addition to the feed-through capacitors, 15 ferrite tubes 23 sit on the pins. The free ends 24 of the pins 15 are inserted in openings 25 of a printed circuit board 26 , which is preferably made of a flexible material. The circuit board carries conductor tracks 27 which merge into pin-shaped solder connections 29 on a lower edge 28 . In the case of a flexible printed circuit board 26 , the conductor tracks 27 are located inside the printed circuit board and are led out on the lower edge 28 . By means of a galvanic treatment, the conductor tracks can be used as solder connections 29 . The circuit board 26 is arranged at right angles to the longitudinal axes of the contact elements 13 . Your solder connections 29 fit into corresponding openings 30 of a further circuit board 31 which carries conductor tracks 32 and electrical components 34 . To improve the mechanical connection between the printed circuit board 31 - hereinafter referred to as the first printed circuit board - and the printed circuit board 26 - referred to below as the second printed circuit board - a hollow cylindrical extension 35 on the underside 36 of the insulating material block 11 is used . The projection 35 fits into an opening 37 of the first circuit board 31 . If the plug connector 10 is plugged onto the first printed circuit board 31 , the edge of the extension 35 is flanged outwards using heat; see. Fig. 3. The contact elements 13 have claw-shaped projections 21 on their circumference, by means of which the contact elements are secured in their position within the openings 12 .
The mechanical connection between a wall 40 of a housing 41 and the connector 10 takes place as follows. The wall 40 contains an opening 42 corresponding to the outer dimensions of the strip-shaped jump 20 of the insulating block 11th In this opening 42 before the jump 20 of the mounted on the circuit board 31 connector 10 ge is inserted, the resilient leg 43 is moved against its spring force at its free end. The leg 43 contains two openings 44 lying side by side, which correspond to two threaded bushings 45 of the insulating material block 11 . Two screws 47 , which are preferably countersunk screws, which are inserted through corresponding openings 48 in the housing wall 40 , are screwed into the sockets 45 , so that the connector 10 is firmly held in the housing 41 . In the fully assembled state, the connector according to FIGS. 1 to 3 forms a filter connector with one π filter per contact element. Each π filter (see. Circuit in Fig. 3) consists of a through capacitor 16 , an inductance formed by the ferrite tube 23 in connection with the associated pin 15 and a capacitance by capacitive components of the circuit on the circuit board 31 union is formed. This capacitance is identified in the circuit diagram by a dashed capacitor symbol 49 .
FIG. 3 shows another suitable for the connector 10 connector 50 having the mating contacts to the contact elements 13 of the male connector 10. The mating contacts are formed as plug pins 51 and are located in a plug housing 52 , the collar 53 of which surrounds the plug pins 51 . The connector pins 51 are connected within the connector 50 with a multi-core cable 54 .
According to Fig. 2A, a contact element 13 is directly connected to the conductive layer 17 and forms a ground contact.
In FIG. 4, another connector 60 is shown which is suitable for splash-proof installation of the exterior of a housing 61. The plug connector 60 has an insulating material block 62 , the cuboid part 63 of which merges into a strip-shaped projection 64 . As in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 3, part 63 and projection 64 contain openings 65 for contact elements 66 . The arrangement of the feed-through capacitors, the ferrite tubes and the first and second printed circuit boards is carried out in the same way as in the exemplary embodiments in FIGS . 1 to 3. The connector 61 prepared in this way is placed first with the printed circuit boards through an opening 67 in a housing wall 68 of the housing 61 threaded. A flange 70 of the connector 60 contains a channel 71 around the strip-shaped projection 64 , on the bottom of which a first elastic ring 72 lies. On the side facing the housing 61 of the flange 70, it contains a circumferential groove 73 arranged outside the opening 67 for receiving a second elastic ring 74 . Two adjacent openings 75 each receive a screw 76 which is screwed into a threaded hole 77 in the housing wall 68 . Elastic sealing washers 78 are placed on the screws under the heads of the screws 76 . If the screws 76 are tightened firmly, the second elastic ring 74 is pressed against the housing wall 68 , and at the same time the sealing washers 78 are pressed together, which provides splash protection.
The connector belonging to the connector 60 is designated in Fig. 4 with 80 net. Its collar 81 is supported on the first elastic ring 72 when the plug connection is made, so that the entire plug connection is splashproof. The cuboid part 63 of the connector 60 is surrounded in this embodiment by a sheet metal cap 82 , the bottom of which contains the corresponding openings and the side walls are preferably slotted, thereby creating contact strips that lie under mechanical tension on the walls of the opening and for a high ensure correct contact frequency.
In Fig. 5, an embodiment is shown in which the connectors previously described are used in various combinations.
A walkie-talkie 90 has, for example, a first connector 91 , which corresponds to the connector 60 in FIG. 4. The first connector 91 can make contact with a second connector 92 , which is designed, for example, like the connector in FIGS. 1 and 2, with the difference that the contact elements 93 have plug pins 94 instead of sockets and that no feedthrough capacitors and ferrite tubes are provided. The second connector 92 includes a first circuit board 95 and a second circuit board 96 . With the second connector 92 , a third connector 97 is electrically and mechanically connected, which is designed for example like the connector 10 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, but which does not contain its own circuit boards and no feed-through capacitors and ferrite tubes. The Kontaktele elements 98 of the third connector 97 are rather connected via the circuit board 96 to the contact elements 93 of the second connector 92 . A plug 99 , which corresponds to plug 50 according to FIG. 3, is plugged onto third plug connector 97 . The connector 99 is connected to a hand control 101 via a cable 100 . The arrangement shown in FIG. 5 is suitable for radio operation with a so-called vehicle holder 102 , to which the adapter 103 consisting of the connectors 92 and 97 belongs. With the handheld radio 90 , which is inserted into the vehicle holder 102 , for example, radio signals from another handheld radio used outside the vehicle can be received, which are made audible via the vehicle holder 102 in a vehicle loudspeaker 104 . With the handheld control unit 101 , a conversation with the user of the handheld radio device located outside the vehicle can then be conducted via the vehicle mount 102 and the handheld radio 90 .
In Fig. 6, a three-part connector assembly is shown, which is constructed similarly Lich the arrangement of FIG. 5, with the difference that the connectors 92 ' and 97' contain no circuit boards 95, 96 ( Fig. 5) and an intermediate connector 110th form. The contact elements of this adapter plug are connected with a multi-core cable 111 . In the exemplary embodiment, the cable 111 is led out of the adapter plug upwards; however, it can also optionally emerge from another side wall of the intermediate connector.
In the assembled state, the connector assembly of FIG. Locked by a screw 112, 6, that of the intermediate connector 110 passes freely through an opening 113 of the connector 99 and an opening 114 and is screwed into a threaded opening 115 of the connector 91st
In Figs. 7 and 8, only the main part 120 of another embodiment of a plug connector is shown. In this fastex binder, the individual feed-through capacitors are combined to form a planar capacitor arrangement 121 and the ferrite tubes to form a planar ferrite arrangement 122 . This reduces the space required and simplifies the manufacture of the connector significantly Lich. The connector 120 is constructed as follows. An insulating block 123 contains an opening 124 which receives an elongated Kontaktele element 125 , which has a socket 126 and a pin 127 which passes through an opening 128 of a sheet metal part 129 , which preferably corresponds to the sheet metal part 18 in FIG. 2. On the contact element 125 or on the pin 127 , the planar capacitor arrangement 121 , provided with corresponding openings, is plugged, which according to FIG. 8 has a substrate disk 130 , on which first capacitor coatings 131 are arranged, which face the front over the edge of the substrate disk 130 with the Sheet metal part 129 are conductively connected (see item 132 ). The first capacitor linings 131 contain openings 133 for the pins 127 , which prevent a conductive connection between the first capacitor linings and the associated pins. Separated by an insulating material layer 134, there are second capacitor coatings 135 on the substrate wafer 130 , the openings 136 for the pins 127 of which are plated through, so that a conductive connection between the second capacitor coatings and the associated pins can be produced by soldering.
The planar ferrite assembly 122 also includes openings 137 for the pins 127 . The free ends of the pins are inserted into openings 140 of a second circuit board 138 , which speaks to the circuit board 26 in FIG. 1 and carries conductor tracks 139 , with which the pins are conductively connected, for example by soldering.
