Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method and a Device for labeling printed products, such as Newspapers, magazines, supplements and the like, according to the preamble of claim 1 and 6 respectively.
  • a method and a device of this type are known from the EP-A-0 096 228 and the corresponding U.S. Patent No. 4,538,161 known.
  • the facility has a writing station with an inkjet pen over it a conveyor runs in the horizontal direction. This points one behind the other on a pulling element at the same distance arranged brackets seen in the conveying direction towards the rear of the clamp mouth. Any parenthesis holds a printed product at a right angle to the direction of conveyance bleeding edge and pulls it with this Edge opposite trailing edge area an overlay of the writing station overlying it away.
  • the lower outside facing the writing station Every print product is from the leading one Printed product overlapped like a scale, so that each only the trailing edge section is free, in which the printed products using the inkjet pen be labeled.
  • the known method and this known device are ideally suited, the printed products on one outside to label in the edge section. But you are neither intended nor suitable to print products on the to be able to label other outside.
  • the inventive Exposing an area of the at least one outside allows labeling of printed products in places, those due to the scale-like overlap of the printed products were previously covered. Can continue through exposing areas accessible to the writing station be made beforehand by the conveyor were covered.
  • the device shown in FIG. 1 has a conveyor device 10 with a dash-dotted line and in the conveying direction F continuously driven tension member 12 arranged at the same distance one behind the other controllable brackets 14.
  • the self-contained train organ 12, for example a chain is as is well known and as can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 4, in a channel guided and in a takeover area 16 to drive deflected around a deflection wheel 18.
  • Conveyors 10 of these Types are, for example, in EP-A-0 600 183, EP-A-0 557 679, EP-A-0 557 680 and CH-A-644 816, and the corresponding U.S. Patent Nos. 5,395,151, 5,356,128 5,388,820 and 4,381,056.
