Abstract
Description
The invention relates to one with at least two gripper bridges provided sheet-guiding drum body for a printing press, the the sheet transport within the printing press, preferably between the printing units of a rotary printing press.
A device of this type is known from DE-AS 1 102 767. After that there are one or two (with double-sized drum with two bow-carrying lateral surfaces) gripper bridges on a sheet-guiding Drum arranged. The gripper bar is with one rectangular cross-section and causes a rotation uniform vacuum between the sheet and the associated Sheet guiding device (envelope body). The gripper bar sucks a part of the air from the sheet guide, so that the Arch against normal arc pressure from the inside of the arch the sheet guiding device is pressed.
The disadvantage here is that after handing over the sheet from the sheet-guiding Drum to the impression cylinder the rear area of the sheet due to the reduced vacuum no longer on the sheet guiding device can be managed, i.e. the bow lifts off. The Lifting off the arch in the rear area leads to double the lead in front of the printing gap formed by the impression cylinder and blanket cylinder.
Another drum is known from DE 3 602 084 C2 between at least two gripper bars within the drum circumference has guiding surfaces designed essentially as secants. The guide surfaces should serve as air scoops, which in the Print mode generate an air jam that the respective sheet with keeps the printed surface away from the guiding surfaces and thus one to ensure lubrication and doubling-free sheet guidance. The Baffles can also be used with an outside facing surface Arranged sheet guide device realize the sheet guide. The guiding surfaces also serve, which are also provided by baffles can be formed to guide the trailing edge of the sheet upon delivery of the sheet to the subsequent printing cylinder.
It is also known in printing press construction, sheet leading Drums with two gripper bars in the form of a prismatic body of a cuboid. On the base and top surface of the cuboid the gripper bridges are arranged and the full-area ones Side surfaces represent the guiding surfaces. On the end faces are Drum pins arranged, which are mounted on the frame side. Depending on the substrate to be processed, the cuboid two circular segment-shaped drum caps can be arranged again form a cylindrical drum.
A disadvantage of these designs is that the drum through Design has a high mass. In printing operation occur dependent on the number of rapier bridges individual centrifugal forces adversely affect the fit of the passport. Furthermore, the desired dynamic pressure depending on the machine speed and thus subject to fluctuations.
According to US-A-5172634 is a transfer drum for a sheet-fed printing machine known, the one depending on the sheet format adjustable drum-shaped curved Has lateral surface and an arch with two gripper bridges in double Clamshell leads at the front and rear edge lying on the lateral surface.
The object of the invention is to provide a sheet-guiding drum body to create low mass, which has a high rigidity, so that an exact fit is achieved and the drum body even one that acts on the arch and is generated by guide surfaces, Avoids air congestion.
The task is solved by the characteristic features of the Main claim. Further training results from the subclaims.
The drum body is achieved through the arrangement of communicating Breakthroughs in the side surfaces a noticeable reduction in mass. The rigidity is increased by the design, which in printing operation to lower deflection and thus to an improved registration leads. The mass reduction lowers the manufacturing costs, the drum body in gray cast iron, nodular cast iron or light metal cast iron, in particular cast aluminum is produced. The in the Communicating breakthroughs arranged on the side surfaces are such dimensioned that no air congestion caused by "light surfaces" the bow can work. The air flow flows when the Drum body through the openings against the sheet running direction through, so that the arc essentially only by centrifugal moments is led. It was found that no wave appearance occur on the arch, which otherwise the arch in the rear Let the area "flutter". The arch becomes quiet on the neighboring one Guided sheet guide.
The drum body provided with communicating openings is in terms of its use, not on a sheet-carrying transfer drum limited to printing units. Rather, the Drum body also as delivery drum, intermediate drum, e.g. in Extension modules etc.
