Abstract

A fall-prevention device for up-and-over doors and the like, such as roller doors, sectional doors, roller grills, roller shutters and the like, has support cables (11) which act in the lower region of the door in the vicinity of the door guide rails (13) for rollers (14) secured on the door. The door guide rails are preferably curved in the upper door-opening area. The device comprises at least one spring-loaded lever (20) on which one of the support cables (11) acts in a direction (R) counteracting the spring force (F), and which comprises a clamping element (21) for securing the door and for clamping engagement with the door guide rail (13) or with an element which is parallel thereto in such a way that, when the support cable (11) becomes slack or breaks, the lever (20) is pivoted under the spring force (F) with its clamping element (21) into the engagement position. The operational reliability is improved in that the pivot axis (X) of the lever (20) is parallel to the plane opened up by the door, preferably within the door leaf (10), and in that the lever (20) is pivotable in a pivot plane extending approximately perpendicular to the plane opened up by the door and is arranged in the opposite direction to the direction of fall (Z) of the rollers (14) on the door guide rail (13).

Description

Absturzsicherung Fall protection
The invention relates to a fall protection for liftable gates and the like, such as roller gates, sectional doors, roller grilles, roller shutters and the like, in which support cables on the lower gate area close to the side, preferably curved in the upper gate opening area, gate guide rails for rollers attached to the gate attack, consisting of at least one spring-loaded lever, each of which engages one of the support cables in a direction counteracting the spring force, and which opens a clamping element for a clamping engagement holding the door with the door guide rail or with an element running parallel thereto indicates that when the suspension cable slackens or breaks, the lever is pivoted with its clamping element under the spring force into the engagement position.
Die bekannten Absturzsicherungen der eingangs genannten Art werden auf derFall protection devices of this type serve, in particular in the case of power-operated gates, to bring the gate to an immediate standstill in a purely mechanical manner with direct action on the guide rail if the cable breaks or becomes slack for another reason. The well-known fall protection of the type mentioned are on the
Auch kann eine Verletzungsgefahr für Torbediener hierdurch nicht ausgeschlossen werden.ERSÄΓZBLÄΓT (RULE 26) inner surface of the door leaf is screwed to it and are provided with a support element which engages behind the guide rail and moves with the door and which limits lateral displacement, ie movement of the door in the door leaf plane from the guide rail when the fall protection system becomes active. These known fall arrest systems function somewhat satisfactorily only in the area of the vertical guide rails. Only a restricted function of this safety component is possible in the area of the guide rail which is bent towards the ceiling of the respective space closed off by the gate. - In particular, normal triggering can lead to false triggers, ie unintentional jamming between the clamping element and the guide rail. In addition, the position of the fall protection arranged on the inside of the door leads to an additional function-restricting damage. A risk of injury to gate operators cannot be ruled out as a result.
Proceeding from this, the invention reproduced in claim 1 solves the problem of improving the functional safety of the fall protection system.
By means of the invention, the holding angle which restricts operator safety is dispensable and, at the same time, the braking effect and holding force of the fall protection device are considerably improved. In addition, the risk of false triggering is selectively reduced in the state of the door opening, which is particularly problematic in the known fall arrest systems, that is to say when the lower end of the door is already close to its highest position and is therefore most likely to become one due to the reduced tensile load on the suspension cable The suspension cable can become slack, namely in the position of the gate in which the lower running roll is located in the bending area of the guide rail and the risk of jamming is particularly high with the known fall protection devices. Furthermore, the invention makes it possible to avoid mounting the fall arrest device on the door leaf which endangers the operator and contains an increased risk of damage by means of an integration arrangement of the fall arrest device in the door leaf itself which becomes possible without any problems and is substantially less hazardous and the subsequent connection which lies within the door leaf thickness - rich.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a rough adjustment of the suspension cable length is carried out in the direct spatial connection with the fall protection, in particular by means of an adjusting screw effective within the door leaf or worm-driven winding drum.
The above-mentioned components to be used according to the invention are not subject to any special exceptional conditions in terms of their size, shape, material selection and technical conception, so that the selection criteria known in the respective field of application can be used without restriction.
In der Zeichnung zeigen:Further details, features and advantages of the subject matter of the invention result from the following description of the accompanying drawing, in which a preferred embodiment of the invention has been shown. The drawing shows:
Fig . 1 eine Absturzsicherung im Eingriff mit einer Tor¬ führungsschiene - entsprechend Ansicht A gemäß Fig . 3 ; Fig. 2 dieselbe AbsturzSicherung bei normalem Torbetrieb;Fig. 1 a fall protection in engagement with a gate guide rail - according to view A according to FIG. 3; Fig. 2 the same fall protection in normal door operation;

Fig. 4 Betätigungshebel der AbsturzSicherung nach Figuren 1 bis 3 in Seitenansicht.Fig. 4 actuation lever of the fall protection according to Figures 1 to 3 in side view.
As can best be seen from FIG. 3, the door leaf 10, for example a liftable sectional door, is mounted and guided on its vertical sides by means of rollers 14 in a stationary door guide rail 13 with low friction. The gate guide rail 13 leaves only comparatively little play for lateral movements of the roller 14 at right angles to its axis of rotation 14 A. A V-shaped tread area 13 A of the gate guide rail 13 ensures good centering of the roller track in the normal case. The opposite leg 13 B, which extends parallel to the roller axis of rotation, on the other hand, is straight. On its side opposite the roller 14 there is a lever 20 having a clamping element 21, the pivot axis X of which extends parallel to the plane spanned by the door leaf 10 and thus also parallel to the axis of rotation 14 A of the roller 14. The lever 20 carries the lever 20 Swivel shaft 18 is mounted within the door leaf 10 in a suitable manner. In the illustrated and in this respect preferred exemplary embodiments, the clamping element 21 is non-rotatably connected to the lever 20, but is otherwise non-rotatably on the end of the pivot shaft 18 shown on the left in FIG. 3.
A, derAs can be seen more clearly from FIGS. 1 and 2 in connection with FIG. 4, the lever 20 is constructed in several parts. It consists of a first lever 20 A, the
Die Schraubenfeder 23 um¬ schlingt die Schwenkwelle 18 und ist mit ihrem zweiten Ende mittels eines Bolzens 24 am Torblatt 10 festgelegt.SPARE BLADE (RULE 26) is rotatably attached to the pivot shaft 18 and has an abutment 22 on which a coil spring 23 is supported with one end. The helical spring 23 wraps around the pivot shaft 18 and is fixed at its second end to the door leaf 10 by means of a bolt 24.
The spring force F of the helical spring 23 tries to pivot the lever 20 A from its approximately parallel door leaf operating position approximately at right angles to the door leaf plane. This is prevented in normal door operation in that the supporting cable 11, which is inserted into the door leaf in a trumpet-shaped opening 25 in the lower door area and fixed there in a length-adjustable manner, is held taut by the door weight, as shown in FIG .
The suspension cable is now loaded transversely by the spring-loaded lever 20 A approximately at right angles to its essentially vertical course. If the suspension cable tension is sufficient, the reaction force R of the suspension cable 11 on the lever 20 A is greater than the opposite spring force F with the result that the eccentric clamping element 21 provided with friction teeth is held out of engagement with the leg 13 B of the door guide rail 13 becomes.
If the suspension cable 11 slackens or breaks, which is indicated in FIG. 1, the spring force F is greater than the reaction force R with the result that the spring 23 moves the lever 20 A and thus the clamping element 21 into the engagement position against the leg 13 B of the door guide rail 13 presses. The roller 14 is pulled onto the opposite surface of the leg 13 B and forms an abutment for the engagement of the clamping element 21 with the door rail 13.
The fall protection is fine-tuned by means of a second lever 20 B, which is freely rotatably mounted on the swivel shaft 18 and has a guide leg 26, on which the suspension cable 11 is held in precise position (during normal door operation).
An adjusting screw 27 rotated in the area of the abutment 22 of the lever 20 A by a threaded bore and provided with a lock nut rests on the back of the guide leg 26 of the lever 20 B and transmits the spring force F to the supporting rope 11 the reaction force R is set sensitively.
