This normally urges the lever to lie parallel and flat against index plate 60 which is fixed to the underside of the transverse member 10 e.g. by bolts or welding not shown.
  • Figure 5 illustrates a packing piece 62 located between the member 10 and the plate 60, but the presence or absence of such packing piece depends upon the dimensions of the other parts.
  • the index plate 60 is provided with an arcuate row of index holes 66, and the lever 50 is provided with a detent 68 for engagement in any one of those holes depending upon the position of the parts.

  • this pedal displacement tilts the lever 50 so as to fulcrum about its extreme end 80, i.e. the end opposite to the clevis, thereby compressing the spring 56 and at the same time taking the detent pin 68 out of its detent hole 66.
  • the displacing force also rocks the pedal about the pedal shaft journalled in the part 30 i.e. in the direction of the arrow A Figure 2 and this causes the bottom end portion 46 of the pin to move in an arc. Since the pin is engaged in the clevis fork this also serves to pivot the lever 50 about the pin 52, i.e. turn the lever angularly, and the tie rods 72 then displace the legs.
  • the action is such as to take the detent 68 from one recess 66 to the next, and in effect index the legs from the parallel position to a first diverged position.

  • the legs may be returned towards or to the parallel position by an almost exactly similar operation but depressing the opposite one of the pedals, resulting in the same pivotal action of the lever 50 about end 80, but opposite angular movement of the lever 50 about the pivot axis 52.
  • the spring is also effective to return the strut 42 and plate 36 to the illustrated positions relative to the tube. It will be appreciated that Figure 5 shows the pedal in the foot depressed position i.e. part-way through a leg adjustment operation.

Abstract

Un dispositif de levage de patient présente des pieds pouvant être écartés par un mécanisme de levier (50) qui pivote sur un axe (52) actionné par une pédale (non représentée) généralement parallèle à la poutrelle (10) sur laquelle les pieds basculent. La pédale bascule sur un axe placé entre les pieds et parallèle à ces derniers de sorte qu'une broche (46) solidaire de la pédale se déplace en formant un arc situé dans un plan vertical et crée un mouvement de bascule.

Claims (8)

  1. Dispositif de levage du type comprenant un mât supporté par une poutre transversale (10), deux jambes (12,14) articulées à la poutre, des bielles (70,72) reliant les jambes à des points écartés entre eux d'un levier (50), un moyen pour faire pivoter le levier afin de déplacer les jambes entre une première position dans laquelle les jambes se trouvent de façon générale parallèles entre elles et au moins une autre position dans laquelle les jambes sont évasées, et une pédale (36) montée sur un axe (31) et pouvant osciller autour de cet axe, la pédale étant reliée au dit levier, caractérisé en ce que l'axe de la pédale est de façon générale parallèle à l'axe longitudinal des jambes.
  2. Dispositif de levage selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le dit levier (50) est pourvu d'une fourchette d'assemblage (78) engagée par un axe de commande (44) porté par la dite pédale (36), l'axe de commande subissant un déplacement angulaire autour de l'axe (31) de la pédale lorsque la pédale oscille et servant à déplacer le levier (50) autour d'un axe (52) perpendiculaire à l'axe de la pédale.
  3. Dispositif de levage selon la revendication 2, dans lequel le dit levier (50) est conçu et disposé pour pouvoir pivoter autour du dit axe perpendiculaire et aussi autour d'un point d'appui disposé à une extrémité (80) du levier pour se déplacer selon un arc qui s'étend dans un plan contenant le dit axe perpendiculaire.
  4. Dispositif de levage selon la revendication 3, dans lequel le levier (50) est articulé sur un axe pourvu d'une tête, et un moyen à ressort (56) contraint le levier vers une position normale au dit axe perpendiculaire.
  5. Dispositif de levage selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant un dispositif d'arrêt (66,68) pour fixer les jambes dans l'une quelconque d'une série de positions prédéterminées.
  6. Dispositif de levage selon au moins les revendications 3 et 5, dans lequel le levier (50) est pourvu d'un organe d'arrêt (68) et est articulé à une plaque d'arrêt (60) comportant une rangée de trous (66) dans lesquels s'engage sélectivement l'organe d'arrêt selon sa position.
  7. Dispositif de levage selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la dite pédale (36) est disposée pour être inclinée dans une position extrême dans laquelle les jambes sont parallèles entre elles et dans une position extrême opposée dans laquelle les jambes sont évasées au maximum.
  8. Dispositif de levage selon au moins la revendication 4, dans lequel la pédale (36) comprend des première et seconde parties (36,40) déplaçables l'une par rapport à l'autre, et la seconde partie est couplée au dit axe de commande (44) qui engage la dite fourchette d'assemblage (78), le ressort (56) qui contraint le levier (50) servant aussi à rappeler les première et seconde parties dans une position de départ après une opération de réglage des jambes.
