Der Übergang vom Boden zu den vier Seitenwänden erfolgt mit einem Krümmungsradius (Pfeil 7), der etwa 1/5 bis 1/10 der Wandhöhe H beträgt. Im Bereich der zwischen den vier Seitenwänden liegenden Ecken ist ebenfalls eine Abrundung zum Boden 2 hin vorgesehen, deren Krümmungsradius (Pfeil 8) allerdings bedeutend größer ist und etwa 1/2 bis 1/3 der Wandhöhe H beträgt. Durch diese Ausgestaltung der Krümmungsradien 7 und 8 erhält der Boden 2 eine ovale Form, wie dies in Fig.1 dargestellt ist. Die Standfestigkeit leidet durch diese Bodenausbildung nicht, jedoch ist die beim Tiefziehen eintretende Materialverjüngung im Bereich der Ecken erheblich geringer als bei einem annähernd gleichen Krümmungsradius über den gesamten Umfang.
