Definitions
- the invention relates to a cover for covering, in particular, open containers and for extracting gaseous, vapor, aerosol and / or dust-like emissions during a manual or mechanical operation which generates these emissions, with a positionable above the container opening or the device to be extracted and these essentially horizontally overlapping, plate-like cover part, which has a segment-like opening, with a segment-like closure part covering the segment-like opening in the closed state, which is designed to be pivotable away from the opening, with one arranged on the outer edge of the cover part and of the closure part and essentially downward extending curtain and with a suction connection connectable to a suction device.
- Such containers are used, for example, for mixing and stirring paints, varnishes, solvents, adhesives, resins, dyes and / or pigments, whereby when stirring or mixing or when filling in the gaseous, vapor, aerosol and / or dust-like emissions that require a cover and suction.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a cover of the type mentioned at the outset, which can be opened quickly and easily at any circumferential locations.
- the cover part is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis on a suction pipe which extends from the cover part upwards and is fixed there to a holding device that at least one passage between the interior of the suction pipe and the area below of the cover part is provided and that the suction connection is arranged on the suction pipe.
- the cover can be rotatably mounted on this suction pipe so that it can be rotated through 360 °, that is, the segment-like opening can be rotated to any circumferential point and can be opened by pivoting the closure part.
- a mix to be mixed by everyone can be introduced from any point, and that the stirring process can also be observed from any point or corrected manually.
- This also applies to other devices to be extracted, such as welding stations.
- the holding device is a stirring device, a vertical drive shaft for a stirring tool running through the suction pipe and the cover part.
- the mixer preferably consists essentially of a stand and an extension arm arranged thereon for the drive shaft, the suction tube being fixed to the extension arm. By moving the holding arm in the vertical direction, the cover can be raised to replace the container.
- the suction pipe is connected to the cover part via a ring bearing, and the cover part is in turn connected to the closure part via a ring bearing or another swivel guide.
- the two ring bearings for pivoting the cover part and the closure part are expediently arranged concentrically with the suction pipe.
- the underside of the cover part is provided at the radially outer end area with at least one suction opening, which communicates with the interior of the otherwise connected to the underside of the cover part substantially closed suction tube.
- the suction is concentrated on the radially outer end region of the cover part, which is directly adjacent to this intermediate region between the outer wall of the container and the cover curtain.
- the channel can be formed by the intermediate region of a double wall of the cover part.
- the bottom wall of the double wall expediently forms a suction slit, which forms the suction opening, towards a vertical wall extending downward from the outer edge of the upper wall or towards the covering curtain. This can be widened on the area of the cover part facing away from the segment-like opening.
- the cover part is arranged on its underside with an essentially coaxial to the suction pipe and the provided at the cover opening opening substantially closing tubular housing through which various additional suction flows can be generated.
- a vertical ring wall of the housing is surrounded at a distance by an outer wall, the outer wall only extending over a partial region of the circumference of the ring wall.
- the space between the ring wall and the outer wall is designed as a suction area with vertical suction slots, which is connected to the suction pipe.
- the outer wall preferably extends to the region of the segment-like opening of the cover part, so that when the closure part is open, emissions in the region of the segment-like opening can be sucked out through these vertical suction slots.
- a substantially horizontal lower wall of the housing has a through opening for the vertical drive shaft of the agitator.
- the lower wall of the housing extends to the outer wall of the housing, so that the suction area described above and the vertical suction slots can be formed.
- the lower wall of the housing is essentially sealing against the vertical drive shaft. This is however, this is not necessary if there are also suction openings on the lower wall. Their size is expediently adjustable.
- Either a flexible suction hose or a suction pipe that extends downwards and is angled radially outside the cover part can be connected to the suction connection of the suction pipe, the vertical partial area of which together with a vertical partial area of another, downstream suction pipe forms a telescopically variable connecting area. While the flexible suction hose is a less expensive solution, the suction pipe has less flow resistance and there is less risk of solid emission components being deposited.
- the mixer shown in FIG. 1 consists of a stand 10 which is fixed or fastened to a base and which carries a gallows-like boom 11 at the top.
- a drive shaft 12 extends downward from an end region of the boom 11 which is distant from the stand 10 and which dips into a container 13 which is open at the top and carries a stirring tool 14 at the lower end region.
- the drive shaft 12 is driven by a drive motor 15.
- An electromotive or fluidic actuator (not shown) arranged in the stand 10 serves this purpose.
- a suction pipe 16 encompassing the drive shaft 12 is fixed to the boom 11, which also serves as a holding tube and is connected with its lower end region via a ring bearing 17 to a plate-shaped cover part 18 in such a way that the cover part 18 is rotatably mounted on the suction pipe 16.
- the cover part 18 has an essentially circular shape as shown in FIG. 3 with a segment-like opening 19. The cover part 18 radially overlaps the upper opening of the container 13, its size being such that the largest possible container 13 to be used is still overlapped.
- a covering curtain extends vertically downward from the outer radial edge region of the covering part 18, a first partial region 20 connected to the covering part 18 being formed by a dimensionally stable wall, which consists, for example, of the same material as the covering part 18, for example of sheet metal or plastic .
- a second, larger partial region 21 which consists of flexible material.
- the two subregions 20, 21 can also consist of dimensionally stable or flexible material.
- a second concentric ring bearing 22 is attached to the cover part 18, via which a segment-like closure part 23 is rotatably mounted on the cover part 18.
- the angular segment of the segment-like closure part 13 is slightly larger than the angular segment of the segment-like opening 19, so that it can be covered by means of this closure part 23.
- FIG. 3 shows a position in which the segment-like closure part 23 is pivoted away from the segment-like opening 19.
- a vertically downwardly extending flexible covering curtain 24 is in turn attached, so that the covering hood overlaps the upper region of the container 13 in a bell or cup-like manner when the closure part 23 is closed.
- a different pivoting guide can also be used instead of the second outer concentric ring bearing 22.
- the closure part 23 can be guided on rollers, wherein a roller guide can also be arranged above the ring bearing 17, e.g. also on the suction pipe.
- the cover part 18 is double-walled, that is, below it extends a second lower wall 25 at a distance, forming a suction channel serving intermediate space 26.
- the lower wall 25 does not extend radially on the outside to the first partial region 20 of the covering curtain, so that an annular suction slot 27 is located between the radially outer edge of the lower wall at the radially outer end region of the covering part 18 25 and the first section 20 of the covering curtain is formed.
- the width of this annular suction slot 27 changes continuously, is greatest at the area opposite the opening 19 and approaches zero towards the opening 19.
- a flow plate 43 extends vertically downward from the radially outer edge of the lower wall 25, which, depending on the design, can also be omitted.
- a tubular housing 28 is essentially aligned with the suction pipe 16 and concentrically thereto.
- This has a tubular inner wall 29 which completely surrounds the drive shaft 12 and is radially spaced from it an outer wall 30 which, however, does not extend over the region of the segment-like opening 19, so that a vertical suction slit is provided on the edge regions between the inner wall 29 and the outer wall 30 is formed and the intermediate space 31 between the inner wall 29 and the outer wall 30 forms a suction channel for this purpose.
- the intermediate space 31 is closed on the underside of the inner wall 29 and the outer wall 30. Furthermore, a lower annular wall 32 closes the housing 28 downward between the inner wall 29 and the drive shaft 12. This lower wall 32 consists, for example, of flexible material and lies sealingly against the drive shaft 12. The housing 28 thus essentially closes the opening in the cover part 18 towards the suction tube 16 downwards.
- the lower wall 32 can of course also extend to the outer wall 30 and additionally close off the intermediate space 31.
- a suction connection 33 to which a suction hose 34 is connected, is arranged on the side of the suction pipe 16.
- this suction hose 34 which can also be designed as a rigid tube in a first partial area, a throttle device designed as a throttle valve 35 is arranged in order to be able to adjust the suction power.
- the boom 11 is first raised so far that the container 13 can be positioned. During the subsequent lowering, the drive shaft 13 then dips into the container 13 with the stirring tool 14 a. The suction hose 34 deforms elastically during this movement.
- the material to be mixed or stirred is filled in, usually at a position of the container 13 opposite the stand 10.
- the closure part 23 according to FIG. 3 is opened and the cover part 18 is pivoted into a position in which the segment-like opening 19 comes into contact the desired filling point.
- the suction pipe 16 and the suction hose 34 remain stationary.
- a suction fan (not shown) connected to the suction hose 34 is switched on and the throttle valve 35 is set to a high suction capacity. This can also take place automatically, for example, when the closure part 23 is opened.
- Emissions generated during filling are extracted on the one hand at the radially outer end region of the cover hood via the suction slot 27 and the intermediate space 26, while in the region of the segment-like opening 19 an additional extraction takes place via the intermediate space 31. This is shown in Fig. 2 by corresponding arrows.
- the closure part 23 is closed to cover the segment-like opening 19, and then (or even before) the stirring device can be switched on will.
- the suction can now take place with reduced power by adjusting the throttle valve 35 accordingly.
- the operator is generally located next to the stand 10, on which the operating elements (not shown in FIG. 1) are usually arranged.
- the operator can pivot the cover part 18 so that the segment-like opening 19 now points to a position next to the stand 10.
- the stirring process can be observed by opening the closure part 23, and it is also possible to intervene manually in the stirring process, for example by stripping off the material to be stirred adhering to the wall of the container 13. After the stirring process, the boom 11 is raised again so that the container 13 can be removed.
- the wall 36 shown in FIG. 4 can also be provided instead of the lower wall 32. It contains four segment-like suction openings 37, which can be closed by a corresponding arrangement of segment-like closure elements 38, so that the cross-section of the suction openings 37 can thereby be continuously adjusted. If such additional suction openings 37 are provided on the lower wall 36, a sealing contact of the wall 36 on the drive shaft 12 can be dispensed with.
- the flexible suction hose 34 is replaced by a rigid, angular suction pipe 39 which runs from the suction pipe 16 first horizontally along the cover part 18 and then vertically downwards along the suction curtain 20, 21.
- a vertical section 40 of the suction pipe 39 a vertical section 41 of another, downstream suction pipe 42 engages from below, the two vertical sections 40, 41 forming a telescopically variable connection point in length.
- the cover can be raised by raising the boom 11 without the two suction pipes 39, 42 being detached from one another.
- the invention is not only limited to hoods for stirring devices, but can also be used wherever devices or devices to avoid emissions have to be covered, e.g. Welding sites.
- the suction pipe 16 can be fixed on any holding devices, for example on support arms or gallows.
- the lower wall 25 can also be designed to be removable or replaceable, in order to be able to replace the complex cleaning by simply replacing a plate forming the lower wall 25. Accordingly, it is also possible, for example, to design the outer wall 30 of the tubular housing 28 to be exchangeable.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cover for covering, in particular, open containers and for extracting gaseous, vapor, aerosol and / or dust-like emissions during a manual or mechanical operation which generates these emissions, with a positionable above the container opening or the device to be extracted and these essentially horizontally overlapping, plate-like cover part, which has a segment-like opening, with a segment-like closure part covering the segment-like opening in the closed state, which is designed to be pivotable away from the opening, with one arranged on the outer edge of the cover part and of the closure part and essentially downward extending curtain and with a suction connection connectable to a suction device.
Such containers are used, for example, for mixing and stirring paints, varnishes, solvents, adhesives, resins, dyes and / or pigments, whereby when stirring or mixing or when filling in the gaseous, vapor, aerosol and / or dust-like emissions that require a cover and suction.
To extract these emissions,
An object of the present invention is to provide a cover of the type mentioned at the outset, which can be opened quickly and easily at any circumferential locations.
This object is achieved in that the cover part is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis on a suction pipe which extends from the cover part upwards and is fixed there to a holding device that at least one passage between the interior of the suction pipe and the area below of the cover part is provided and that the suction connection is arranged on the suction pipe.
Since the suction connection is arranged according to the invention on the fixed suction pipe, i.e. above the actual cover, the cover can be rotatably mounted on this suction pipe so that it can be rotated through 360 °, that is, the segment-like opening can be rotated to any circumferential point and can be opened by pivoting the closure part. This means that, for example, a mix to be mixed by everyone can be introduced from any point, and that the stirring process can also be observed from any point or corrected manually. This also applies to other devices to be extracted, such as welding stations.
Advantageous further developments and improvements of the covering hood specified in claim 1 are possible through the measures listed in the subclaims.
In a preferred embodiment, the holding device is a stirring device, a vertical drive shaft for a stirring tool running through the suction pipe and the cover part. The mixer preferably consists essentially of a stand and an extension arm arranged thereon for the drive shaft, the suction tube being fixed to the extension arm. By moving the holding arm in the vertical direction, the cover can be raised to replace the container.
In an advantageous constructive embodiment, the suction pipe is connected to the cover part via a ring bearing, and the cover part is in turn connected to the closure part via a ring bearing or another swivel guide. The two ring bearings for pivoting the cover part and the closure part are expediently arranged concentrically with the suction pipe.
In order to be able to prevent emissions from reaching the outside through the intermediate area between the container wall and the covering curtain with a relatively low suction power, the underside of the cover part is provided at the radially outer end area with at least one suction opening, which communicates with the interior of the otherwise connected to the underside of the cover part substantially closed suction tube. As a result, the suction is concentrated on the radially outer end region of the cover part, which is directly adjacent to this intermediate region between the outer wall of the container and the cover curtain.
In an advantageous embodiment, the channel can be formed by the intermediate region of a double wall of the cover part. The bottom wall of the double wall expediently forms a suction slit, which forms the suction opening, towards a vertical wall extending downward from the outer edge of the upper wall or towards the covering curtain. This can be widened on the area of the cover part facing away from the segment-like opening.
The cover part is arranged on its underside with an essentially coaxial to the suction pipe and the provided at the cover opening opening substantially closing tubular housing through which various additional suction flows can be generated. In particular, a vertical ring wall of the housing is surrounded at a distance by an outer wall, the outer wall only extending over a partial region of the circumference of the ring wall. The space between the ring wall and the outer wall is designed as a suction area with vertical suction slots, which is connected to the suction pipe. The outer wall preferably extends to the region of the segment-like opening of the cover part, so that when the closure part is open, emissions in the region of the segment-like opening can be sucked out through these vertical suction slots.
A substantially horizontal lower wall of the housing has a through opening for the vertical drive shaft of the agitator. The lower wall of the housing extends to the outer wall of the housing, so that the suction area described above and the vertical suction slots can be formed.
The lower wall of the housing is essentially sealing against the vertical drive shaft. This is however, this is not necessary if there are also suction openings on the lower wall. Their size is expediently adjustable.
Either a flexible suction hose or a suction pipe that extends downwards and is angled radially outside the cover part can be connected to the suction connection of the suction pipe, the vertical partial area of which together with a vertical partial area of another, downstream suction pipe forms a telescopically variable connecting area. While the flexible suction hose is a less expensive solution, the suction pipe has less flow resistance and there is less risk of solid emission components being deposited.

The mixer shown in FIG. 1 consists of a
A covering curtain extends vertically downward from the outer radial edge region of the covering
Radially outside of the ring bearing 17 and immediately adjacent, a second concentric ring bearing 22 is attached to the
In particular, if the inner ring bearing 17 already has such a large diameter that the remaining
The
On the underside of the
The
The
In operation, the
Now the material to be mixed or stirred is filled in, usually at a position of the
After filling, the
In the case of smaller stirring systems in particular, it is also possible to dispense with vertical movement of the
If additional suction openings on the underside of the
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the
The invention is not only limited to hoods for stirring devices, but can also be used wherever devices or devices to avoid emissions have to be covered, e.g. Welding sites. In such applications, the
In one embodiment of the invention, the
