Description

The invention relates to a plaster element made of plastic for fastening floor surfaces, which in a preferred embodiment has a continuous upper wall surface.

The paving element is typically used to fasten floor surfaces that consist of earth, sand, gravel or the like and that are to be used or used permanently or temporarily. The paving element can also be used to mark floor areas, for example to identify parking spaces.

The plaster element is made of plastic, but preferably, but not exclusively, recycling material can be used.

Instead of the previously usual paving stones, paving elements have already become known which consist of plastic and - for reasons of strength - have a full cross section. These paving elements therefore require large amounts of plastic material for their manufacture, which is reflected in relatively high manufacturing costs. In addition, these previously known paving plastic elements, like the conventional paving stones, are strung together in a mortar bed, so that a (Largely) flat driving surface or tread surface arises, which is associated with a considerable amount of processing.

The present invention has for its object to provide a plaster element made of plastic for fastening floor surfaces with a continuous upper wall surface, which can be laid with much less effort so that a largely flat tread / driving surface or marking line is created from a variety of these paving elements. In addition, the plaster element should have a high strength with a relatively small amount of material.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The plaster element according to the invention contains several, for example 10 to 20, adjacent, interconnected, open at the bottom cells, which are formed on the underside of an upper wall. On the circumference of the plaster element, the spaces are preferably offset by virtue of the fact that the cells are arranged offset from one another — without the invention being limited to this — which are wholly or partly bridged by ribs which are formed at the bottom on edge cells adjoining the spaces. Most or all of the intermediate space (viewed in plan) can be bridged or closed by a continuous plate, as a result of which the paving element according to the invention is particularly stable. However, the ribs projecting into the interspaces can also each consist of one or more narrow webs connected to one another, as a result of which the plaster element is also considerably stiffened.

According to the invention it is further provided that at the interstices adjacent edge cells, lower wall strips are cut away or recessed in some areas, these recessed wall strips allowing the molded ribs of the other paving element to enter when two plaster elements are put together. This means that at least on such a width, lower edge cell wall strips are cut out, which corresponds to the width of the ribs formed on the spaces at the bottom.

The connection of an upper wall surface with the cells underneath, which are preferably designed so that adjacent cells have common wall surfaces, already brings about great rigidity and stability of the paving element. The paving element has both a high bending strength and a high resistance moment against torsion or twisting. The stability is additionally increased by the fact that the gaps located on the circumference are wholly or partially bridged by ribs which still perform two additional functions.

On the one hand, the ribs prevent the paving element from penetrating too far into, for example, a subsurface consisting of sand, in that the ribs form relatively large-area supports, which is particularly the case when they have a plate shape and essentially bridge the entire area of the interspaces . As already mentioned, it can also be advantageous, depending on the subsurface, to design the ribs as narrow webs, which can be particularly useful if there is no fear of the plaster elements sinking into the ground.

The gaps formed on the circumference of the paving element between edge cells, the ribs provided there and the cutouts at the lower edge of the adjacent edge cells also make it possible in a simple manner to put together a large number of paving elements of the same type in a simple manner without gaps, in each case by two paving elements offset from one another are joined together in such a way that the ribs of one plaster element are inserted into the recesses at the lower edge of the marginal cells of the other plaster element until the two plaster elements abut one another. If the top of the ribs is slightly higher than the lower edge of the assigned cell walls (on the order of 10th millimeter), a clamping effect occurs between the adjacent paving elements, so that they hold together. The insertion of the ribs under the marginal cells of the adjacent paving element can be facilitated in that the top of the ribs tilts slightly towards the free edge, so that the ribs have a slight wedge shape in cross section and can enter smoothly under the marginal cells and only in the course of the pushing together run onto the lower edges of the cells in both patch elements.

It can also be provided that the ribs engage in the end position under the marginal edges of the marginal cells, it being possible for the ribs to be provided with small latching grooves.

However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the lower marginal edges of the marginal cells lie at the same height as the upper sides of the ribs, so that cohesion here only results from friction — without a clamping effect.

The cells preferably have a hexagonal shape and are connected to one another in a honeycomb shape, which leads to a particularly high stability of the plaster element. However, the cells can also have another shape, such as that of a rectangle or square.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the paving element preferably has an elongated, narrow shape, the length to width ratio preferably being approximately 3: 1. In this case, two rows of cells can be provided, wherein successive cells in the longitudinal direction of the plaster element can each be arranged offset to one another in the width direction by half a cell. In this embodiment, there are alternating cells and spaces on the longitudinal edges of the plaster element, which have the shape of a half cell, which is particularly useful when the cells have a hexagonal shape with sides of equal length.

There is a triangular space on the end faces of the paving element, into which one (or more) ribs for stiffening, as a support and for attachment to a subsequent paving element also protrude.

The paving element is preferably produced by injection molding. If a multi-part injection mold is used to form the cells, non-adjacent cells can be given an increasing wall thickness towards the lower edge to increase the stability of the plaster element, which is possible by means of forced demolding or collapsible mold cores.

The plaster element according to the invention requires relatively little plastic material and is inexpensive to manufacture. The paving element can be assembled quickly and easily, preferably with other identical paving elements, the paving elements holding together firmly, so that even large areas can be fastened in a short time with little effort using the paving elements according to the invention. The ribs or plates formed on the floor of the gaps (on the circumference of the paving elements) lead to a very high stability and strength of the paving element, prevent its uncontrolled penetration into the subsoil and serve to secure the paving elements to one another.

Further details of the invention emerge from the following description and from the drawing.

a section along the line III-III in Fig. 1, in the assembled state of two paving elements is indicated.

Reference is first made to FIG. 1. The plaster element 1 shown there about half contains two longitudinal rows of hexagonal cells 2 which are open at the bottom and which are connected to one another in a honeycomb manner by adjacent cells having common cell walls (e.g. 3). The cells 2 are thus laterally offset from one another in the longitudinal direction by half a cell width.

At the top, the cells 2 are integrally formed on a continuous upper wall (see FIGS. 2 and 3) which, in the assembled state of a plurality of paving elements 1, forms a continuous step or driving surface or marking line.

On the circumference of the plaster element 1 there are 2 spaces 5 alternating with the cells, which have the shape and size of half a cell 2. In the embodiment shown, these gaps are created by the laterally offset arrangement of the honeycomb cells 2. In an alternative embodiment, which is also within the scope of the invention and in which the cells can have, for example, a square shape, the gaps provided on the circumference or edge of the plaster element can also result from the fact that individual cells are omitted.

A triangular space 6 is formed on the two end faces of the plaster element 1, due to the arrangement of two rows of cells 2 lying next to one another. It goes without saying that with a larger number of longitudinal rows of cells 2, correspondingly more triangular spaces 6 are formed.

The spaces 5 and 6 are largely bridged or closed at the bottom of the paving element 1 by plate-shaped ribs 7 and 8. The ribs 7 and 8 are formed on the lower end of the cell walls 9 and 10 of the cells 2 adjoining the spaces 5 and 6.

The ribs 7 have a hexagonal shape and, with their edge 11 connected to the laterally adjacent cells, extend at most over half of a side wall 12 of the cells, for the reason explained below.

At the cells adjoining the interspaces 5, the lower edge strip of the cell wall has been cut away or cut out, specifically from a point 13 of one rib to the corresponding point 14 of the next rib. The lower edge strip is thus cut away to a width b1 which is at least as large as the maximum width b2 of the ribs 7 (in the longitudinal direction of the paving element 1).

The ribs 7 and the recesses 15 are provided to put together two plaster elements 1 and 1 'in a simple manner so that a complete, solid cohesion is ensured. For this purpose, the paving elements are offset in the longitudinal direction so that the ribs 7 into the recesses Enter 15 (under the associated cells 2) until the cell walls touch each other.

The ribs 7 have a slightly inclined upper side, as can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3. At its free end, the top of the ribs 7 lies slightly below the lower edge of the cell walls of the cutouts 15, so that the ribs 7 can be easily inserted into the cutouts. Then the top of the ribs 7 rises slightly, whereby the ribs 7 are given a slight wedge shape in cross section. The upper side rises to a height which is slightly above the lower edge of the cell walls in the region of the cutouts 15.

This means that when (paving) two plaster elements 1 and 1 'together, the lower edges of the cell walls at the recesses 15 gradually run onto the upper side of the ribs 7, which results in a slight clamping effect. In the region of the end position, in which the side walls of the adjacent cells 2 and 2 'abut one another, there is a groove 16 in the top of the ribs 7 which extends over the entire width and into which the lower edge of the cell wall 2' engages. By means of a suitable shape of the groove walls, the locking can take place in such a way that the paving stones assembled in this way can no longer be separated from one another without being destroyed. This can be achieved in that the groove surface facing the adjacent paving element runs essentially vertically.

But it can also be provided that the latching can be released non-destructively by giving the groove the shape of a flat wanner.

On the end faces of the plaster element 1, the rib 8 enters in a corresponding recess 17 at the lower edge of the adjacent cell. Here, too, the rib 8 has a slight wedge shape in cross section with a latching groove which lies at a short distance from the cell walls 10.
