Den Staudruck vor der Siebtrommel durch kleinere Öffnungen in der Staudecke zu erhöhen und damit evtl. die Verteilung der zuströmenden Luft zu vergleichmäßigen, ist nicht sinnvoll, da dies die Trockenleistung der Trommel zu sehr beeinträchtigt. Der Erfinder ist auf die Idee gekommen, unter Beibehaltung der Trommelkonstruktion und damit der extremen Luftdurchlässigkeit der Trommel einen Staudruck jenseits der Auflagefläche für das Textilgut od. dgl. zu erzeugen, und zwar durch eine zusätzlich Trommel, die als gelochte Blechtrommel ausgebildet sein soll. Diese über die ganze Arbeitsbreite sich erstreckende Blechtrommel sollte vorzugsweise unmittelbar im Anschluß an die Innenkanten der längs der Trommel sich erstreckenden Blechstreifen angeordnet sein. Dies hat nämlich den Vorteil, daß das Luftvolumen der Innentrommel bei kleinen Trommeldurchmessern nicht noch weiter vermindert ist. Dies ist wichtig bezüglich der dort entstehenden Luftgeschwindigkeiten zum Ventilator und bezüglich des zu konstruierenden Durchmessers für den Ansaugstutzen des Ventilators.
