Ausgehend von der Vorrichtung anfangs genannter Art sieht die Erfindung zur Lösung der gestellten Aufgabe vor, daß die Blechstreifen jeweils aus zumindest zwei einzelnen, parallel zueinander angeordneten Blechstreifen bestehen, die radial versetzt zueinander derart angeordnet sind, daß die Umfangskontur der Trommel nur durch jeweils die Außenkante des einen der beiden benachbarten Blechstreifen gebildet ist und damit der siebförmige Belag jeweils nur von der Kante des radial nach außen vorstehenden Blechstreifens abgestützt ist. Auf diese Weise wird mit Bezug auf den Widerstand der Blechstreifen die Luftdurchlässigkeit der Trommel nochmals um die Hälfte halbiert, und zwar ohne daß die Festigkeit der Trommel durch diese erfindungsgemäße Maßnahme vermindert ist. Wesentlich bei der erzielbaren Luftdurchlässigkeit ist nämlich allein nur die Auflagefläche der radial nach außen stehenden Trommelbestandteile, nämlich die der Blechstreifen und die der Verbindungselemente und nicht der Querschnitt, der im Anschluß radial weiter nach innen vorhanden ist. Claims (3)

  1. Apparatus for the throughflow treatment of textile material, paper or the like, utilising a gaseous or liquid treating agent which is circulated in the whole apparatus, said apparatus having a permeable drum (5) as a conveyor means, which is traversed inwardly from externally, is subject to suction, has end plates (11, 12) at its end faces and is covered on its circumference with a mesh-like covering (9), sheet metal strips (10) being disposed between the end plates of the drum and extending in an axial direction, the width dimension of which strips extends in a substantially radial direction, and connection members (13, 13'), which join together the sheet metal strips, are disposed in the circumferential direction between the sheet metal strips (10), characterised in that the sheet metal strips (10) each comprise at least two individual sheet metal strips (26, 27), which extend parallel to one another and are disposed in a radially offset manner relative to one another such that the circumferential configuration of the drum (5) is formed only by the respective external edge of one of the two adjacent sheet metal strips (26), and in consequence the mesh-like covering (9) is supported only by the respective edge of the radially outwardly protruding sheet metal strip (26).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the sheet metal strips (26, 27) have different widths, such that the radially internal diameter is identical for both sheet metal strips (26, 27).
  3. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterised in that the radially internal diameter for both sheet metal strips (26, 27) is disposed on a level with the internal diameter of the foot (22) of the connection members (13).
