Definitions
- the present invention relates to a stake for anchoring an object to the ground, in particular for anchoring a terminal used, with other identical terminals, to delimit a terrain.
- Such a terminal known as a “surveyor's terminal” must be perfectly fixed to the ground for a significant period of time, up to several decades.
- a tubular anchor stake open at its ends, in which are engaged metal rods, which are rigid but capable of being bent. After driving the stake into the ground, the rods are pushed axially by means of a mandrel engaged in the stake. By penetrating into the ground, they come to bend outwards according to more or less helical trajectories and thus constitute a solid anchoring of the stake.
- the end of the tube intended to be inserted into the ground comprises an insert having a wall against which the rods come to bear during their insertion, which causes them to deflect outwards and their curvature.
- the French patent registered under No. 86 14562 and published under No. 2 605 346 describes a stake of this type, comprising a tube provided at its end intended to be driven into the ground with a flat attached piece.
- This part comprises a part coming to be fitted and fixed in the end of the tube, substantially along the diameter thereof, and a part projecting from the end of the tube, which constitutes a penetration point.
- An opening is arranged mainly in the part engaged in the interior of the tube.
- the rods, the end of which has a suitable bending start pass through this opening and come to bear, during their insertion, against the wall of the part delimiting this opening in the lower part, which causes their deviation and curvature mentioned above.
- connection between the tube and the part can be brought to undergo significant stresses in the event of hard ground and must be particularly solid.
- this connection is achieved by crimping the tube on the part, which is a relatively complex operation to perform and can weaken the mechanical strength of the end of the tube.
- the tube, the rods and this part are metallic and must be protected by an appropriate treatment, in particular by hot-dip galvanizing, carried out before assembly.
- the assembly of the part with the tube has the disadvantage of destroying this protective coating, so that the longevity in time of the anchoring is no longer ensured.
- the aforementioned parts are only manufactured in specific dimensions, corresponding to predetermined tube diameters, and include openings of predetermined dimensions which cannot receive the rods beyond a certain diameter. .
- the limited possibilities of adaptation of existing materials do not not meet all the specific needs of users.
- the present invention aims to remedy all of these drawbacks by providing a stake simple to manufacture, resistant over time and able to be adapted to the specific needs of users, while ensuring an anchoring as solid as existing stakes.
- the stake it relates to is of the aforementioned type comprising, on the one hand, a tubular portion whose end intended to be driven into the ground is extended by a wall, arranged substantially according to the diameter of this tubular portion, in which is an opening and, on the other hand, rods engaged in said tubular portion as well as through said opening, these rods coming to bear against this wall when they are displaced relative to the stake in the direction of said end, which causes their deflection towards the outside of the stake and their curvature.
- the tubular portion of the stake and the wall which extends its end intended to be driven into the ground constitute a single piece.
- the invention therefore differs from pegs previously known by the elimination of the insert at the end of the tubular portion, which these pegs have systematically included since their origin.
- the stake according to the invention has many advantages.
- the stake can be hot dip galvanized after shaping. No subsequent operation on it will deteriorate this galvanization.
- the stakes can be easily and quickly shaped in tubes of very different diameters, and the useful width of the opening in the wall is less limited than in previously known stakes. It is therefore possible to give this opening a width allowing it to receive a large number of rod diameters.
- the stake according to the invention is thus adaptable, as regards the diameter of the tube or the diameter of the rods, to each specific request of the users.
- the stake according to the invention consists of a metal tube, one end of which is crushed so as to bring two diametrically opposite zones of this tube together until they are in contact with one of the other and that they are flattened, to form said end wall, the holes for passage of the rods outside the tubular portion of the stake being arranged in the inclined transition zones between the non-crushed portion and the crushed portion of the tube.
- the wall comprising the opening is bordered by two longitudinal stiffening ribs making it possible to eliminate any risk of folding of this wall with respect to the tubular portion during the insertion.
- this wall is obtained by crushing the end of a metal tube, it suffices laterally contain the wall of the tube and simultaneously stamp the tube at its axis, perpendicular to the compression plane, to obtain this wall and these two ribs.
- each hole through which a rod passes through the tubular portion is offset laterally with respect to the part of the opening through which the curved end of the rod passes.
- the rods are placed slightly oblique to the axis of the tube when their end is engaged in the opening. It follows that during their movement towards the end of the stake intended to be driven into the ground, they deform along a more or less helical trajectory allowing them to occupy, after deformation, a large area and therefore ensure perfect anchoring.
- the flat wall extending the tubular portion comprises grooves or recesses arranged from the lower edge of the opening and in the direction of the end of the stake, making it possible to facilitate the introduction of the curved ends of the rods in the opening when the rods are engaged in said tubular portion.
- the figures represent from different angles a stake 2 for anchoring an object, in particular a terminal, called “surveyor's terminal", allowing with other identical terminals to delimit a land.
- the stake 2 comprises a metal tube 3 and rods 4 engaged in this tube 3, which open onto the outside at the end 2a of the stake 2 intended to be engaged in the ground.
- the tube 3 has a purely tubular portion 3a, with the exception of a collar 5 arranged in the end 2b of the stake 2 not intended to be engaged in the ground, this collar 5 allowing the fixing of a signaling head (not shown).
- portion 3b shaped by stamping, comprising a central wall 6 bordered by two lateral ribs 7, this portion 3b ending in two cut sides forming a driving point 8.
- the wall 6 and the ribs 7 extend in the extension of the tubular portion 3a, the wall 6 being arranged substantially on the axis of this portion 3a, parallel to the latter.
- the outer walls of the ribs 7 are arranged substantially in the extension of this portion 3a.
- An opening 11 is arranged in the wall 6, at a distance from the holes 9.
- the wall 6 further comprises two grooves 12 extending on each of its faces, from the edge of the opening 11 and in the direction of the end 2a, these grooves 12 being arranged on either side of the center line of stake 2, as shown in Figure 3.
- the rods 4 are mainly straight and have a curved end 4a. They are engaged in the stake 2 through the holes 9 and through the opening 11, in which they cross, their curved end 4a coming to bear against the surface of the wall 6 delimiting the opening 11 in the lower part.
- the stake 2 is first driven into the ground.
- the two ribs 7 make it possible to eliminate any risk of folding of the wall 6 relative to the tubular portion 3a.
- the rods 4 are pushed axially into the ground using a mandrel (not shown) pressed into the end 2b of the stake 2. They then come to bear against the surface of the wall 6 which delimits the opening 11 in the lower part and deform against it.
- the diametrically opposite positioning of the holes 9 means that each hole 9 is offset laterally relative to the part of the opening 11 in which is engaged the curved end 4a of the rod 4 which passes through it, as clearly shown in FIG. 3
- the rods 4 are thus placed slightly oblique with respect to the axis of the tube 3 when their ends 4a are engaged in the opening 11 and are deformed along a more or less helical trajectory, shown in phantom in FIG. 1, allowing them to occupy, after deformation, a large area. They thus ensure perfect anchoring.
- the portions 3a and 3b are shaped by crushing the same tube 3, this crushing being obtained by laterally containing the wall of the tube 3 and simultaneously stamping this tube 3 at its axis, perpendicular to the contention plane, to obtain the wall 6 and the ribs 7.
- the tubular portion 3a and the wall 6 constitute a single piece.
- This stake 2 has many advantages.
- stake 2 can be hot dip galvanized after shaping. No subsequent operation will deteriorate this galvanization.

Abstract
Description
- La figure 1 en est une vue en perspective ;
