Die genannten Dispersionen zeichnen sich dadurch aus, daß deren Ausgangsviskosität nach der Herstellung und bei längerer Lagerung, vor allen Dingen nach einer vorhergehenden Scherbelastung nicht oder nur unwesentlich ansteigt, daß sie einen hohen Wirkstoffgehalt aufweisen, daß sie auch in kaltem Wasser leicht verdünnbar sind, was sich besonders beim Einspülen in automatischen Waschmaschinen positiv bemerkbar macht, daß sie biologisch leicht und vollständig abbaubar sind und daß die damit behandelten Textilien nach dem Trocknen nicht nur einen weichen Griff sondern auch eine gute Wiederbenetzbarkeit aufweisen, was insbesondere für Textilien, die auf der Haut getragen werden, von besonderer Bedeutung ist. Alle Dispersionen enthalten 34 Gew.-% quartäre Ammoniumverbindungen mit einer, zwei und drei Fettacyloxyethylgruppen. Die Viskosität wird in mPas bei 20 °C, gemessen mit Brookfield-Viskosimeter bei 20 Umdrehungen pro Minute, angegeben. Gemessen wurde die Viskosität nach einer durch Pumpen der Dispersion erfolgten Scherbelastung unmittelbar nach der Herstellung und 3 Tage später.
Die Dispersionen der erfindungsgemäBen Versuche 1 und 2 haben in frischem Zustand eine geringe Viskosität, die auch nach Lagerung nur wenig ansteigt. Demgegenüber haben die Dispersionen der nichterfindungsgemäßen Versuche 3 bis 8 schon in frischem Zustand eine höhere Viskosität, die zudem noch innerhalb von 3 Tagen auf Werte von 1000 bis 10 000 mPas ansteigt.In the fresh state, the dispersions of experiments 1 and 2 according to the invention have a low viscosity, which increases only slightly after storage. Claims (6)
- Concentrated fabric softener dispersions containing quaternary ammonium compounds which are derived from triethanolamine and which contain one, two or three fatty acyloxyethyl groups, characterized in that the percentage content of compounds containing two fatty acyloxyethyl groups is greater than 50 mole-%, based on the total quantity of quaternary ammonium compounds.
- Concentrated fabric softener dispersions as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the percentage content of compounds containing only one fatty acyloxyethyl group is no higher than 40 mole-% while the percentage content of compounds containing three acyloxyethyl groups is no higher than 10 mole-%, based on the total quantity of quaternary ammonium compounds.
- Concentrated fabric softener dispersions as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the dispersions contain more than 15% by weight of quaternary ammonium compounds.
- Concentrated fabric softener dispersions as claimed in any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the dispersions contain more than 30% by weight of quaternary ammonium compounds.
- Concentrated fabric softener dispersions as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that their viscosity at 20°C is below 1000 mPas.
- Concentrated fabric softener dispersions as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that their viscosity is below 500 mPas.
