Abstract

The grating is made from a series of separate bars (1) which are assembled in parallel by a rod (2) which passes through each bar and spacers (4) between them. Each bar has two parallel projections (6) on each side pointing in the direction of the neighbouring bar and covering the upper and lower surfaces of the spacers, which are made from a suitable synthetic material such as neoprene and are circular in shape. The bars have T-shaped ends (8), the rod joining them together being made from a comparatively flexible material, so that the grating formed from the bars can follow a curved shape if necessary.

Description

The main subject of the present invention is a modular grid for closing the manholes of pavement and especially gutters.

GB-A-2 099 893).It's been known for a long time to shut the eyes on a pavement for example by means of grids generally supported by frames embedded in the pavement. These grids generally consist of a plurality of bars assembled substantially parallel (see eg GB-A-2 099 893).

Consequently, the various dimensions and forms of gaze require the use of as many shapes and dimensions of grids, which complicates manufacturing and makes said costly grids.

The present invention therefore aims to remedy particularly to these drawbacks by proposing a grid modular and somehow universal which can easily adapt to any shape or dimension of gaze and which can easily adapt to any type of channel straight or even sinuous in a horizontal plane or deviating from the horizontal plane.

To this end, the invention relates to a grid modular for closing gutters for example and consisting of a plurality of assembled bars substantially parallel; said bars are independent of each other and are assembled by a rod or the like passing through all bars and spacers interposed between said bars.

We therefore already understand that it will be easy to delete or add bars to allow the adaptation of the grid to a look of given dimensions.

According to another characteristic of this grid, each bar has projections extending towards the adjacent bars so as to maintain by covering it, the spacer between two adjacent bars.

The spacers, according to a preferred embodiment, are made of a suitable synthetic material, such as neoprene for example, and they can have a circular shape.

Thus, thanks to the presence of the spacers, we can advantageously deform the grid so that it fits with a slightly curved or sloping shape of the look or of the gutter.

According to yet another characteristic of the grid according to this invention, the spacers, the projections on each bar and the holes in the bars allowing the passage of the rod ensuring the assembly of said bars, are provided at a substantially equal distance free ends of the bars.

We will also specify here that each bar has parallel projections partly arising upper and lower part of the core of the bar.

The free ends of the bars have a bulge or the like, giving them a T shape.

But other features and advantages of the invention will appear better in the description detailed which follows and refers to the attached drawings, given only by way of example, and in which.

Figure 1 is a partial plan view from above a grid in accordance with the principles of the invention.

Figure 3 is a perspective view of a bar of the wire rack.

Figure 4 is a top plan view of the grid illustrated in deformed position to be able to adapt to a look or a portion of a curved gutter.

According to an exemplary embodiment, and with reference to drawings, we see that a grid according to this invention consists of a plurality of bars 1 which are, structurally speaking, independent of each other and which can be assembled by a rod or the like marked in 2 and which can be for example a rod more or less flexible threaded.

This rod 2 passes through orifices 3 formed in each bar 1 and therefore allows the assembly of a any number of bars, it being understood that a bolt for example (not shown) screwed at the two ends of the rod will allow assembly.

Bien que cela ne soit nullement obligatoire, mais suivant un mode de réalisation préféré, une entretoise 4 percée d'un trou 5 est interposée entre deux barreaux adjacents 1, de sorte que la tige 2 traversera tous les barreaux 1 et toutes les entretoises 4.Although this is by no means mandatory, but following a preferred embodiment, a pierced spacer 4 of a hole 5 is interposed between two adjacent bars 1, so that the rod 2 will pass through all the bars 1 and all spacers 4.

The spacers 4 can be made of a synthetic material any suitable such as neoprene.

According to the example shown, the spacers have a circular shape, as can be seen in the figure 2, but they could perfectly present any other form without departing from the scope of the invention.

We have shown in 6 and 7 protrusions coming from molding with each bar 1 and extending in the direction of the bars adjacent. More precisely, as we can see on Figures 1, 2 and 3, the projections 6 and 7 allow the maintenance of a spacer 4 between two adjacent bars 1, the projections 6 originating at the top of the soul of the bar, and the projections 7 arising in the lower part of said core.

The projections 6 and 7 extend substantially parallel to each other, as can be seen in Figure 3, and they cover substantially completely the spacer 4 between two adjacent bars. So the protrusions 6 will somehow ensure continuity of the grille in the upper part and will protect underlying spacers 4.

In the example illustrated, the projections 6, 7, the spacers 4 and the holes 3 in each bar 1 are provided at a substantially equal distance from the ends free from bars.

But all of these could be located so closer to one or other of the free ends bars 1, without departing from the scope of the invention.

The free ends of the bars 1 comprise, according to the example shown, a bulge 8 which gives these free ends, a T shape, so that both opposite sides of the grid with the bulges 8 form a solution of continuity.

It is therefore understood from the above description that the grid according to this invention is particularly advantageous with regard to the following points.

The removal or addition of one or more bars 1 will allow the grid to adapt to dimensions various look, whether it is a hole or a rectangular channel.

In addition, the bars 1 of the grid being maneuverable one with respect to the other around the axis constituted by rod 2, the grid will be allowed to follow a superelevation any edges of the gutter.

Thanks to the relative flexibility of the rod 2, it will also possible to give the grid a shape slightly curved, as seen in Figure 4, for that the grid can conform to the winding of the gutter.

In short, the fact that the bars 1 are independently maneuverable, and the fact that said bars can deviate from their strictly parallel position thanks to the flexibility of the rod 2 and the spacers 4, allow the grid to adapt to a wide variety of shapes and dimensions of manhole or gutter.

Of course, the grid of this invention can be accommodated and kept in a frame buried in the pavement, on the around the manhole to close.
