Definitions
- the present invention relates to a guardrail clamp, in particular a guardrail clamp that can be used to create provisional guardrails in unfinished buildings.
- guardrail clamps A major disadvantage of the known guardrail clamps, however, is the fact that they can only be attached to stairs or only to flat platforms.
- the present invention is based on the problem of creating a protective railing clamp which can be used both for securing stairs and for securing flat platforms and can absorb the traffic loads that occur.
- a guardrail clamp with the characterizing features of claim 1, the essential property of which is the pivotability of the lower abutment relative to the upper abutment about the axis of the upper abutment.
- the two abutments can be pivoted against each other so that the lower abutment under the sloping underside of a staircase, while the upper abutment rests on a step.
- the lower abutment can be swiveled both to the left and to the right, so that the guard rail clamp can be attached on the left or right side. However, it can also be brought into a non-pivoted position so that it can be attached to a flat platform.
- the abutments are displaced relative to one another by means of a tubular sleeve which is axially displaceable on a threaded spindle.
- the pivotability of the abutment is achieved in that the upper abutment comprises a tube which rotatably and captively encompasses an articulated tube, the articulated tube being fastened to the tube sleeve.
- Frets are preferably attached to both ends of the articulated tube, which serve as a stop and as a guide for the tube which is part of the upper abutment.
- the lower abutment comprises an angle on its upper side, which projects beyond the lower abutment transversely to its longitudinal direction, in order to prevent tilting of the threaded spindle and the lower abutment about its axis after the assembly of the protective railing clamp.
- Another advantage of the present invention arises from the pivotability of the lower abutment relative to the upper abutment about the axis of the threaded spindle, as a result of which structural conditions can be taken into account.
- a threaded sleeve can be screwed onto the threaded spindle for fixing the upper abutment, said threaded sleeve having two tabs provided with bores, the bores being able to accommodate a tool available on a construction site, such as a carpenter's hammer .
- the universal clamp comprises a threaded spindle 1 and a rod-shaped railing part 2.
- a square tube 3 is fastened to the lower end of the threaded spindle 1 in such a way that the square tube 3 projects away from the threaded spindle 1 approximately perpendicularly on one side.
- the lower end of the threaded spindle 1 rests on the inner bottom surface of the square tube 3.
- This angle 4 has the task of making it difficult to tilt the threaded spindle 1 and the square tube 3 about its longitudinal axis after the universal clamp has been installed, and serves as an abutment (see also FIGS. 4 and 5).
- a threaded sleeve 5 is screwed onto the threaded spindle 1, which has two opposite tabs 6 (see FIG. 2), each of which is provided with a bore 7.
- the bores 7 have, for example, a diameter suitable for holding a tool, such as a carpenter's hammer.
- a T-shaped tubular sleeve 8 with a smooth inside is axially displaceably mounted on the threaded spindle 1 and connected to an inner joint tube 9 which is received by a second square tube 12 which is connected to the rod-shaped railing part 2 connected is.
- the articulated tube 9 is attached as a lateral extension to the T-shaped tube sleeve 8 and has a fixed collar 10, 11 at both ends, which serves as a stop and as a guide.
- the square tube 12 thus rotatably surrounds the articulated tube 9 in the area between the two collars 10, 11, the square tube 12 being axially non-displaceable relative to the articulated tube 9.
- the rod-shaped railing part 2 protruding vertically upwards is rigidly attached.
- a U-shaped support 13 is attached to the underside of the square tube 12 to increase the stability (see FIG. 3).
- a wedge 14 is connected to the top of the square tube 12 and the side of the rod-shaped railing part 2 facing the threaded spindle 1 for stiffening.
- the railing bracket 15 On the side of the railing part 2 facing away from the threaded spindle 1, two railing brackets 15 which are open at the top and are formed from one piece are attached.
- the railing bracket 15 has a lower region which is fixedly connected to the railing part 2 and an upper region which is spaced apart from the railing part 2 in order to serve as a receptacle for railing boards 21 (see FIGS. 4 and Fig. 5), wherein due to the relatively large distance of the upper part of the railing bracket 15 from the railing part 2, two railing boards 21 can be attached one behind the other.
- the railing part 2 has a railing holder 16 which is open at the bottom and is similar to the railing holder 15 and is fastened to a running sleeve 17 which can be displaced on the railing part 2.
- the railing brackets 15, 16 are each provided with a bore 18, which serve to receive screws or nails with which the railing boards 21 can be screwed on.
- the upper square tube 12 with the U-shaped support 13 is placed in the corner area on a stair step, so that the threaded spindle 1 runs parallel to the outside of the staircase 19.
- the threaded spindle 1 can be brought into an angular position with respect to the railing part 2, which allows the square tube 3 with the angle 4 attached to it to be placed on the inclined underside of the stairs 19.
- the U-shaped support 13 of the square tube 12 thus serves as the upper abutment of the clamp and the angle 4 and the square tube 3 serve as the lower abutment of the clamp when fastening it.
- the tilting of the square tube 3 relative to the square tube 12 is clear from FIG.
- FIG. 3 which shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 1.
- two tilted positions 3 ′′ of the square tube 3 are indicated by dash-dotted lines, as occur, for example, when mounting the universal clamp on a staircase 19.
- the universal clamp is firmly connected to the stairs 19.
- the railing brackets 15, 16 two or more universal clamps fastened in this way can be inserted railing boards 21 to secure the stairs 19 in accordance with regulations.
- the railing boards 21 can be fastened both, as shown in FIG. 4, parallel to the upper edge of the stairs, and also parallel to the oblique underside of the stairs 19 (not shown).
- Fig. 5 shows the attachment of the universal clamp on a flat platform 20.
- the threaded spindle 1 is not tilted against the railing part 2 so that both are parallel to each other.
- Structural conditions may make it necessary to pivot the two square tubes 3, 12 horizontally against each other when installing the universal clamp on a staircase 19 or a flat platform 20. This pivoting can be carried out by turning the threaded spindle 1 in the tubular sleeve 8 before tightening the threaded sleeve 5.
- the lines shown in dash-dot lines in FIG. 2 show positions 3 ′ of the square tube 3 that are pivoted horizontally relative to the square tube 12.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a guardrail clamp, in particular a guardrail clamp that can be used to create provisional guardrails in unfinished buildings.
It is known to provide stairs and level platforms, such as balconies, in structures with devices which have brackets for railing boards. The railing boards inserted into the brackets serve as provisional protection. In particular, the use of protective railing clamps is known, which can be quickly and easily attached to a component because the upper and lower abutments can be moved against each other (for example: brochure no. 28 from Müller & Baum).
A major disadvantage of the known guardrail clamps, however, is the fact that they can only be attached to stairs or only to flat platforms.
The present invention is based on the problem of creating a protective railing clamp which can be used both for securing stairs and for securing flat platforms and can absorb the traffic loads that occur.
This problem is solved by a guardrail clamp with the characterizing features of
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the abutments are displaced relative to one another by means of a tubular sleeve which is axially displaceable on a threaded spindle.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the pivotability of the abutment is achieved in that the upper abutment comprises a tube which rotatably and captively encompasses an articulated tube, the articulated tube being fastened to the tube sleeve.
Frets are preferably attached to both ends of the articulated tube, which serve as a stop and as a guide for the tube which is part of the upper abutment.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the lower abutment comprises an angle on its upper side, which projects beyond the lower abutment transversely to its longitudinal direction, in order to prevent tilting of the threaded spindle and the lower abutment about its axis after the assembly of the protective railing clamp.
Another advantage of the present invention arises from the pivotability of the lower abutment relative to the upper abutment about the axis of the threaded spindle, as a result of which structural conditions can be taken into account.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention, a threaded sleeve can be screwed onto the threaded spindle for fixing the upper abutment, said threaded sleeve having two tabs provided with bores, the bores being able to accommodate a tool available on a construction site, such as a carpenter's hammer .

As can be seen from FIG. 1, the universal clamp comprises a threaded
A threaded
Reference is also made to FIG. 1. A T-shaped
On the side of the
As can be seen from FIG. 4, for mounting the universal clamp on a
Fig. 5 shows the attachment of the universal clamp on a
Die in Fig. 2 strichpunktiert ausgeführten Linien zeigen gegenüber dem Vierkantrohr 12 waagerecht verschwenkte Positionen 3' des Vierkantrohrs 3.Structural conditions may make it necessary to pivot the two
