Abstract

A lamp with at least one oblong means of lighting is mounted in a reflector cage which is attached beneath curved reflector surfaces. In order to attach the lamp directly to a ceiling, the reflector surfaces are given a roughly V-shaped front-view profile and their outer longitudinal leading edges extend to proximity with ceiling elements to which the lamp is fastened.

Description

The invention relates to a lamp with at least one elongated lamp with at least two reflectors arranged above it and a preferably partially transparent reflector basket arranged under the two reflectors, said basket covering the lamp (s).

(Abgehängte Decken erfordern Räume mit einer gewissen Mindesthöhe).Lights of this type are known. Luminaires with partially translucent reflecting baskets in particular are characterized by a particularly pleasant lighting effect, i. h, the spatial impression for a viewer is bright, although the illuminance levels are relatively low. The characteristic is based on daylight. Such lights are usually designed as recessed ceiling lights, d. That is, such lights can only be used in conjunction with suspended ceiling systems. (Suspended ceilings require rooms with a certain minimum height).

Luminaires of this type have already become known, which can be attached to ceilings or suspended. A disadvantage of all these lamps is that the two reflectors arranged above the lamp (s) are designed in such a way that they are depicted on the ceiling as disturbing shadows.

On the one hand, by designing these lights sufficient illuminance is made available and, on the other hand, the previous design of the lights, in particular the reflectors, has the disadvantage that they often cast considerable shadows.

This also applies to the lamp according to US 2,202,266. In this proposal, V-shaped reflector walls connect to the ceiling at a right angle. The resulting jump-like or stair-shaped heel creates a shadow on the ceiling.

In US 5,097,401 it is a wall lamp which is designed with a reflector trough, and the light generated in the reflector trough is emitted into the room. This wall lamp creates a pure indirect light, so there is practically no shadow formation.

But with this luminaire it is not possible to achieve the previously mentioned lighting effect, since the luminance of all reflectors are not nearly the same for a viewer.

If the reflector basket is made partially transparent to the light, part of the light passes through this reflector, is preferably scattered, and thus the luminance remains below the value of the illuminant (s) used and thus prevents glare to an observer.

The object of the invention is to design a lamp of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be attached directly to ceilings and the pleasant lighting effect is maintained without forming disturbing shadows. Furthermore, this luminaire should also be able to be used in rooms with VDU workstations.

To achieve the object, the invention is characterized by the technical teaching of claim 1.

An essential feature of the invention is that the V-shaped profiled reflector surfaces have approximately a bird's wing-like profile in the front view, their outer longitudinal front edges extending into the vicinity of ceiling elements to which the lamp is fastened in such a way that the transition region of the reflector surfaces clings tangentially to the surface of the ceiling elements in the area of the outer longitudinal end edges. In order to avoid shadows, it is important that the outer longitudinal end edge comes very close to the ceiling elements. The tangential approach of the V-shaped reflector to the ceiling must be stepless, i.e. without step-like heel at the long edge. The tangential nestling of the transition area of the reflector surfaces in the area of the outer longitudinal end edge to the ceiling elements also makes it unnecessary to maintain a constant height of the longitudinal end edge.

Because of the V-shaped shape of the wing shaped like a bird's wing, it is now possible for the first time to mount the lamp directly on a ceiling, because the outer longitudinal end edges of the reflector areas lie against the ceiling.

Essentially, the reflector surfaces according to the invention are therefore concavely curved.

An advantageous effect of the invention is that a lamp with the reflectors designed according to the invention is integrated harmoniously on the ceiling. This enhances the pleasant, calm, daylight-like lighting effect of the lamp.

The inventive design of the reflector contour also lightens the ceiling and thus improves the efficiency. (Light rays not only hit the reflectors, but also directly on the ceiling).

There are several options for the formation of the reflector surfaces, all of which are intended to be encompassed by the inventive concept of the invention.

In a first embodiment, it is provided that the reflector surfaces are designed to be continuously curved and to extend from the inner longitudinal end edges to the outer longitudinal end edges lying against the ceiling elements with a constant curvature.

In a further embodiment, the reflector surfaces are continuously curved and can have a relatively steep curvature in the vicinity of the reflector cage, which transitions into a curve of lesser curvature while overcoming a relatively small radius.

Likewise, the transition area of the longitudinal end edges near the ceiling to the ceiling elements can be designed differently.

In a first embodiment it is provided that the tangent to the reflector surfaces in the area close to the ceiling conforms to the ceiling surface, i. that is, there is a tangential transition of the reflector surface into the ceiling surface.

In another embodiment, it is provided that the tangent to the reflector surfaces in the area near the ceiling forms an angle to the ceiling surface itself.

In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to drawings showing several possible embodiments. Further essential features and advantages of the invention emerge from the drawings and their description.

In a first embodiment of the lamp according to FIGS. 1 and 2, it essentially consists of a reflector basket 2, which is covered on the end face by basket front parts 1, 1 '. The reflector basket 2 is preferably made of perforated sheet metal and backed with a matt or opal film, and can be designed to be translucent, partially translucent or opaque.

The reflector basket 2 is fastened to a mounting rail 3, the lamp operating devices being able to be attached either in a tub part or advantageously on the mounting rail.

The sockets for the one or more lamps are attached to the respective front part 1.1 'of the basket. The lamps are thus covered by the reflector basket 2.

The reflector basket 2 is advantageously fastened to the lamp by means of the mounting rail 3, the mounting rail 3 forming part of the reflector surfaces 4, 4 'according to the invention.

The tub part 12 is usually screwed onto the ceiling, the ceiling in the exemplary embodiment being formed from plate-shaped ceiling elements 5-11.

The reflector surfaces 4, 4 'extend with their inner longitudinal end edges 13 above the reflector basket 2 and are, in this respect, mirror-symmetrical to the longitudinal center axis of the reflector basket 2.

The reflector surfaces 4, 4 'and also the reflector surfaces 15 and 16 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 are curved approximately concavely and form an approximately V-shaped profile in the manner of a bird's wing in the end view.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the outer longitudinal end edge 14 of each reflector surface 4, 4 'nestles seamlessly against the surface of the ceiling elements 5-11. That is, a tangent 22 in this area on the reflector surface 4 is parallel to the surface of the ceiling elements 5 themselves.

D. h., die Tangenete 22 an dem deckennahen Bereich der Reflektorflächen 16 bildet einen Winkel 23 zu der Fläche der Deckenelemente 5-11.3 shows that instead of the relatively strong curvature of the reflector surfaces 4, 4 'in FIGS. 1 and 2, a steeper curvature 20 can also be provided for the reflector surfaces 16, the transition region 21 making an angle in the direction of the surface of the ceiling elements forms. In other words, the Tangenete 22 at the region of the reflector surfaces 16 near the ceiling forms an angle 23 to the surface of the ceiling elements 5-11.

In Figure 4 it is shown that the reflector surfaces 15 can also be discontinuously curved, that is, starting from the inner longitudinal end edges, the reflector surfaces 15 initially form a relatively steep curvature 17 which, while overcoming a radius in the region of the bend 19, changes into a flatter curvature 18 which either tangentially according to the embodiment of Figure 2 or forming an angle according to the embodiment of Figure 3 can pass into the ceiling area.

The transition from the reflector contour to the ceiling does not have to be as smooth as in FIGS. 1 and 2, but it can also be erratic or the reflector can be kinked (FIGS. 3 and 4). However, this is in contrast to the desired pleasant lighting effect. In order to achieve this lighting effect, one tries to design all reflectors (including the reflector basket) in such a way that the luminance is the same at all light-emitting points. However, specially shaped reflectors are conceivable to achieve special lighting effects.

Figure 5 shows the lamp in an embodiment with a round (oval) base, which has the advantage over a rectangular shape that round lights can be used in an architecturally appealing form regardless of the shape of the room.

The luminaire according to the invention can also be used as a wall luminaire - shorter illuminants are preferably used for this (e.g. 18 W fluorescent lamp with 590 mm length or compact fluorescent lamps 36 W with 415 mm or 40 W or 55 W with 535 mm length).
