Definitions
- the invention relates to a rod-shaped smoke product with one strand - shaped core of shredded smoking tobacco, by one Jacket made from a paper manufacturing process Is surrounded by tobacco wraps.
- tobacco wraps also called leaves from reconstituted tobacco, according to paper manufacturing processes e.g. according to US-A-4, 182, 349.
- one is basically in one first stage stem of tobacco plant, tobacco stems and others at components of tobacco that cannot be used in cigarette production especially fine fractions but also tobacco leaves frayed and with, for example, heated water or other aqueous Liquids of certain temperatures mixed or washed out, after which the water-soluble Extract containing ingredients is subtracted; in a second stage, the cellulose components are optionally after further intermediate stages such as homogenization, repeated Screening or cleaning, along with fillers and others Addition after further intermediate stages on the sieve of one Given paper making device. On the so obtained The concentrated tobacco extract is applied to the raw film and this processed into the final tobacco foil.
- tobacco films produced by such an extract process have so far been used in stretched form of smoking tobacco used in cigarettes or cigarillos, where primarily those that are unsuitable for the production of cigarettes Use fine particles and ribs as a smokable material could.
- tobacco films have been used because of their uniform structure and better mechanical properties used as cover pages for cigarillos.
- US 3 729 009 A were tobacco films analogous to a paper manufacturing process from tobacco rib material on the one hand and tobacco leaf waste like tobacco dust on the other hand in a ratio of 3: 1 used and the addition of one of these components Extract obtained in one on the dried end product related amount of 50 wt.% provided, due to the inadequate Taste, which also accounts for the largest proportion of tobacco rib material based, to improve taste up to 3% by weight of carbamide and up to 4% by weight of a C16 to C18 fatty acid soap, based on the weight of the existing tobacco ribs, admitted.
- These tobacco wraps can also be added of about 20% by weight of foreign cellulose and produced as Cover or binder for cigarillos can be used.
- EP 0 495 567 A was used to produce a rod-shaped smoke product with a binder or cover sheet made of tobacco foil with a content of up to 5% tobacco stem suggested the extract only in a limited amount, namely not more than 20% by weight (based on the weight of the Tobacco foil).
- too taste quality or the aroma of such Product to be desired.
- the invention has for its object a novel To propose a smoking product of the type mentioned at the beginning, which one first, the typical flavor expected by the smoker satisfied, the smoke products so far coated with tobacco films could not be reached, and which the other Improved secondary smoke quality.
- a smoking product of the type mentioned at the beginning which one first, the typical flavor expected by the smoker satisfied, the smoke products so far coated with tobacco films could not be reached, and which the other Improved secondary smoke quality.
- the tobacco foil formed jacket with regard to the physical film characteristics is designed so that the smoke product on usual Cigarette and cigarillo production systems economical can be manufactured and thus the requirements regarding Tear strength and elongation of such a jacket production fulfilled, with a further glow rate and porosity Enable control of the smoking offer.
- a smoking product which is designed according to the main claim, being particularly preferred embodiments are listed in the subclaims.
- the use of smoking products is also considered proposed new plug-in cigarillos.
- TF-1 Process with proportional extract recycling and use of Tobacco stems or of tobacco stem or tobacco rib material and lamina tobacco material, as well as one for tobacco film production new method called "TF-2" without Extract recycling and use of only lamina tobacco material, combined with an almost quantitative circulation cold water soluble tobacco extracts in the wire section of a Papermaking plant.
- the tobacco foils are preferably used for the cover sheet outer wrapping of the rod-shaped smoke product, according to the "TF-1" process and those for the binder, i.e. the (inner) Wrapping the core of the rod-shaped smoke product, according to the "TF-2" process manufactured.
- the paper-making process 75 to 100% by weight of tobacco foil produced according to TF-1 from im essentially from (a) tobacco cellulose and (b) tobacco extract existing tobacco components.
- the tobacco cellulose is made from a shredded leaf or cut tobacco mixture, from scrap tobacco (scrap), from tobacco stems and from Received tobacco rib material, the aroma-intensive components, namely the leaf-tobacco mixture and the tobacco greens with one Particle size of about 1 to 5 and preferably 1.5 to 4 mm on the one hand and those that are more decisive for the cellulose content Components, namely tobacco rib material on the other hand in one Weight ratio of 1: 1.1 to 1: 5 are present.
- the tobacco extract is made from a shredded leaf-tobacco mixture and received tobacco rib material.
- tobacco cellulose is the one for the production of Tobacco wrap required proportion of tobacco rib material somewhat higher what in terms of the physical properties of the Tobacco cellulose is required.
- the relationship should from leaf or cut tobacco mixture to tobacco rib or Tobacco stem material does not exceed a value of 1: 5, otherwise the flavor-determined smoking properties of the tobacco foil be adversely affected.
- this may be the case by adding flavors of tobacco during the last Step of the film production process can be compensated.
- the tobacco foil Extract in an amount of more than 20% by weight of the tobacco foil the cellulose material obtained in this process is applied becomes. If the extract has an increased proportion of a lamina tobacco extract contains those for the final smoking product required aroma components enriched.
- Tobacco film consists essentially of its tobacco content made of lamina tobacco material. This is related to the tobacco foil in an amount of 75 to 80% by weight together with 10 to 20% by weight Long-fiber foreign cellulose crushed and almost complete Circulation of cold water soluble tobacco extracts in the Sieve section of a paper production plant on this as raw film receive.
- the usual additives such as required Binder, fillers and those that influence the burn-up Agents and flavorings can be present in an amount of up to 15% by weight. both in the production of the raw film and later in the Conditioning these can be added.
- the tobacco foil is relevant to its taste Tobacco blend composition of the composition of the Leaf or cut tobacco mixture of the tobacco or Core of the rod-shaped smoke product corresponds. This is on the one hand to achieve the desired flavor - preferably "American Blend" - required, on the other hand in With regard to a simple, inexpensive manufacture of the rod-shaped smoke product is an advantage overall because with the same coat of tobacco both the shell and the core can be manufactured. You can also deviate from the Tobacco blend composition of the tobacco foil from the blend composition change the tobacco.
- Both can be used as additives in the production Tobacco films according to TF-1 and TF-2 common binders such as methyl cellulose, Dextrins, pectins, alginates, starches, gums, amylose, Carboxymethyl cellulose, honey, corn syrup or other polysaccharides be used.
- common binders such as methyl cellulose, Dextrins, pectins, alginates, starches, gums, amylose, Carboxymethyl cellulose, honey, corn syrup or other polysaccharides be used.
- a filler Calcium carbonate or titanium dioxide can be used.
- As a burn Influencing agents are mostly alkaline earth carbonates and Alkali salts of weak organic acids such as alkali citrates or acetates used.
- Flavoring substances that are tobacco-own or extracts from tobacco mixtures can subsequently be used as flavorings, for example by an on-line application of the finished tobacco foils by means of the application device from Kaymich (GB) (Kaymich applicator model FDU3 SYSM).
- the flavoring is preferably carried out in an alcoholic solution, preferably on the inside of the tobacco films, in order to avoid undesired optical effects, over the entire surface or in longitudinal strips.
- This subsequent film flavoring can be carried out both with the tobacco film according to TF-1 and with the tobacco film according to TF-2.
- the strand is Shredded tobacco core with only one according to the TF-1 process obtained tobacco wrapped.
- Another one Embodiment of the invention consists of the strand-shaped Core-laid coat made of one or more layers of tobacco foil both using the TF-1 method or both using the TF-2 method have been obtained, although it is preferred the one layer and in particular the outer layer or the Manufacture cover sheet according to the TF-1 process, while the the inner layer or the binder is obtained using the TF-2 process has been.
- the cover page is the outermost layer of the jacket formed around the strand-shaped core, spiral arranged, while the inner sheet around the strand-shaped core formed position of the jacket, in the axial Direction has an adhesive seam.
- this smoking product should generally have the technical data listed in Table II below: general area preferably Diameter in mm 6 - 9 7.8 - 8.1 length in mm 50-250 55-75 Mass glow rate in mg / min 50-70 60 Packing density of the filling tobacco (core) in mg / cm 3 190-270 210-240

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a rod-shaped smoke product with one strand - shaped core of shredded smoking tobacco, by one Jacket made from a paper manufacturing process Is surrounded by tobacco wraps.
It is well known tobacco wraps, also called leaves from reconstituted tobacco, according to paper manufacturing processes e.g. according to US-A-4, 182, 349. In such procedures, one is basically in one first stage stem of tobacco plant, tobacco stems and others at components of tobacco that cannot be used in cigarette production especially fine fractions but also tobacco leaves frayed and with, for example, heated water or other aqueous Liquids of certain temperatures mixed or washed out, after which the water-soluble Extract containing ingredients is subtracted; in a second stage, the cellulose components are optionally after further intermediate stages such as homogenization, repeated Screening or cleaning, along with fillers and others Addition after further intermediate stages on the sieve of one Given paper making device. On the so obtained The concentrated tobacco extract is applied to the raw film and this processed into the final tobacco foil.
The tobacco films produced by such an extract process have so far been used in stretched form of smoking tobacco used in cigarettes or cigarillos, where primarily those that are unsuitable for the production of cigarettes Use fine particles and ribs as a smokable material could. On the other hand, such tobacco films have been used because of their uniform structure and better mechanical properties used as cover pages for cigarillos.
The use of tobacco foils as a binder or cover sheet for Smoking products is problematic for many reasons because the tobacco foils are sensory due to the tobacco raw material inadequate and / or because of the darker color for the Consumers are unappealing. There are numerous attempts have been attempted to address these drawbacks, such as by enzymatic preparation of the extract. Such Measures have so far been unsuccessful and have led to it Products that did not meet legal requirements. In addition, there were considerable difficulties with regard to the required properties of such tobacco films in terms of their tear resistance, their water resistance or saliva strength or more generally with regard to their Smoking properties, such as porosity, burning behavior, ash content and especially with regard to what the consumer is used to Smoke aromas.
To overcome these drawbacks, one has tried the portion of tobacco rib material compared to the proportion of tobacco leaf waste, such as tobacco greens or tobacco dust to increase better processability on papermaking equipment with correspondingly better tear strength. The "scratchy" taste that occurs with these tobacco films was reduced by adding non-tobacco chemicals. On the other hand, it was proposed to extract the tobacco Treat substances appropriately or share to reduce tobacco rib material.
In detail, according to the first-mentioned procedure e.g. according to LU 66 490 A a paper-like tobacco foil on a Fourdrinier paper machine made from 60% by weight Tobacco ribs, 30% by weight of tobacco leaf waste such as greens or dust and 10% by weight sulfate pulp produced; because this tobacco foil tastes good was inadequate, were used to improve taste, based on the dry matter 5 wt.% organometallic Chelate or complex compounds added. According to US 3 729 009 A were tobacco films analogous to a paper manufacturing process from tobacco rib material on the one hand and tobacco leaf waste like tobacco dust on the other hand in a ratio of 3: 1 used and the addition of one of these components Extract obtained in one on the dried end product related amount of 50 wt.% provided, due to the inadequate Taste, which also accounts for the largest proportion of tobacco rib material based, to improve taste up to 3% by weight of carbamide and up to 4% by weight of a C16 to C18 fatty acid soap, based on the weight of the existing tobacco ribs, admitted. These tobacco wraps can also be added of about 20% by weight of foreign cellulose and produced as Cover or binder for cigarillos can be used. Since the Addition of organometallic chelates or carbamide and Fatty acid soaps are not too tasty and too due to legal regulations regarding admissible additives has led to non-marketable products, the above suggested another alternative, e.g. proposed according to GB 1 093 696 A, one as a cigar blanket suitable tobacco foil from leaf and stem components as well Use tobacco dust in a ratio of 3: 1 and that out centrifuge the extract obtained from these components and only part of the aqueous phase of the cellulose material feed.
Ultimately, EP 0 495 567 A was used to produce a rod-shaped smoke product with a binder or cover sheet made of tobacco foil with a content of up to 5% tobacco stem suggested the extract only in a limited amount, namely not more than 20% by weight (based on the weight of the Tobacco foil). Here, too taste quality or the aroma of such Product to be desired.
All these products have the disadvantage that Production of the tobacco films used tobacco material to unpleasant Flavors leads and the pushy and heavy smell of secondary smoke not accepted by many smokers becomes. This taste and also the smell A tobacco product with a Wrapping from, for example, two tobacco foils intensified because this is about 20% by weight of the tobacco product against the core of shredded smoking tobacco and thus the taste impression of the main smoke considerably influence or reduce, as well as the smell impression of Secondary smoke.
The invention has for its object a novel To propose a smoking product of the type mentioned at the beginning, which one first, the typical flavor expected by the smoker satisfied, the smoke products so far coated with tobacco films could not be reached, and which the other Improved secondary smoke quality. Ultimately, it will be like this encased smoke product proposed in which the tobacco foil formed jacket with regard to the physical film characteristics is designed so that the smoke product on usual Cigarette and cigarillo production systems economical can be manufactured and thus the requirements regarding Tear strength and elongation of such a jacket production fulfilled, with a further glow rate and porosity Enable control of the smoking offer.
To solve this problem, a smoking product is therefore proposed which is designed according to the main claim, being particularly preferred embodiments are listed in the subclaims. In particular, the use of smoking products is also considered proposed new plug-in cigarillos.
Basically in the manufacture of tobacco films rod-shaped smoke product according to the invention between two differentiate between different paper manufacturing processes, on the one hand, the one described at the beginning as "TF-1" Process with proportional extract recycling and use of Tobacco stems or of tobacco stem or tobacco rib material and lamina tobacco material, as well as one for tobacco film production new method called "TF-2" without Extract recycling and use of only lamina tobacco material, combined with an almost quantitative circulation cold water soluble tobacco extracts in the wire section of a Papermaking plant.
The tobacco foils are preferably used for the cover sheet outer wrapping of the rod-shaped smoke product, according to the "TF-1" process and those for the binder, i.e. the (inner) Wrapping the core of the rod-shaped smoke product, according to the "TF-2" process manufactured. This surprisingly gives one olfactory improvement of the secondary smoke of the invention Product compared to the secondary smoke of conventional, comparable Products such as commercially available cigarillos. However, it will not the amount of secondary smoke, but only his olfactory quality significantly improved; the secondary smoke loses its intrusive, unacceptable to many smokers, dark, fragrant note.
However, this effect can also be achieved unexpectedly are in accordance with another preferred embodiment Invention in which only tobacco films according to "TF-1" are used be, however, the topsheet tobacco wrap considerably more tobacco extract is fed in or recycled than the tobacco leaf. In total, this contains two layers existing jacket of the rod-shaped smoke product based on the Dry matter a tobacco extract amount of more than 20% by weight.
Ultimately there are also combinations of the two methods manufactured tobacco films for the manufacture of the rod-shaped Smoking product according to the invention possible, at least in part the beneficial, surprising effects result in what the Smokers of, for example, "classic" cigarillos made the switch probably relieved of the product according to the invention.
For the production of the rod-shaped smoke product according to the invention it is essential that the paper-making process 75 to 100% by weight of tobacco foil produced according to TF-1 from im essentially from (a) tobacco cellulose and (b) tobacco extract existing tobacco components. The tobacco cellulose is made from a shredded leaf or cut tobacco mixture, from scrap tobacco (scrap), from tobacco stems and from Received tobacco rib material, the aroma-intensive components, namely the leaf-tobacco mixture and the tobacco greens with one Particle size of about 1 to 5 and preferably 1.5 to 4 mm on the one hand and those that are more decisive for the cellulose content Components, namely tobacco rib material on the other hand in one Weight ratio of 1: 1.1 to 1: 5 are present. The tobacco extract is made from a shredded leaf-tobacco mixture and received tobacco rib material.
Furthermore, up to 20% by weight and preferably 8 to 14% by weight of foreign cellulose such as softwood, hemp or Flax cellulose used. If the tobacco cellulose comes wholly or in part from tobacco stems, the Proportion of foreign cellulose without affecting the physical Properties of the tobacco foil are reduced accordingly.
It is advantageous if something to make this tobacco foil less than half of that used to make the tobacco foil required tobacco material from a high-quality cut tobacco mixture consists, for example, of a mixture of Virginia tobacco, Burley tobacco, oriental tobacco and blowing ribs from Virginia tobacco exists.
Regarding the tobacco cellulose is the one for the production of Tobacco wrap required proportion of tobacco rib material somewhat higher what in terms of the physical properties of the Tobacco cellulose is required. However, the relationship should from leaf or cut tobacco mixture to tobacco rib or Tobacco stem material does not exceed a value of 1: 5, otherwise the flavor-determined smoking properties of the tobacco foil be adversely affected. However, this may be the case by adding flavors of tobacco during the last Step of the film production process can be compensated.
It is essential that in the manufacture of the tobacco foil Extract in an amount of more than 20% by weight of the tobacco foil the cellulose material obtained in this process is applied becomes. If the extract has an increased proportion of a lamina tobacco extract contains those for the final smoking product required aroma components enriched.
This was manufactured using a different paper manufacturing process Tobacco film consists essentially of its tobacco content made of lamina tobacco material. The usual additives such as required Binder, fillers and those that influence the burn-up Agents and flavorings can be present in an amount of up to 15% by weight. both in the production of the raw film and later in the Conditioning these can be added.
It is advantageous if the tobacco foil is relevant to its taste Tobacco blend composition of the composition of the Leaf or cut tobacco mixture of the tobacco or Core of the rod-shaped smoke product corresponds.
For the manufacture of tobacco foil according to both TF-1 and Up to 20% by weight of foreign cellulose can be added to TF-2, which improves the physical properties of the tobacco foil become.
Both can be used as additives in the production Tobacco films according to TF-1 and TF-2 common binders such as methyl cellulose, Dextrins, pectins, alginates, starches, gums, amylose, Carboxymethyl cellulose, honey, corn syrup or other polysaccharides be used. For example, as a filler Calcium carbonate or titanium dioxide can be used. As a burn Influencing agents are mostly alkaline earth carbonates and Alkali salts of weak organic acids such as alkali citrates or acetates used.
In one embodiment of the invention, the strand is Shredded tobacco core with only one according to the TF-1 process obtained tobacco wrapped. Another one Embodiment of the invention consists of the strand-shaped Core-laid coat made of one or more layers of tobacco foil both using the TF-1 method or both using the TF-2 method have been obtained, although it is preferred the one layer and in particular the outer layer or the Manufacture cover sheet according to the TF-1 process, while the the inner layer or the binder is obtained using the TF-2 process has been. Usually the cover page is the outermost layer of the jacket formed around the strand-shaped core, spiral arranged, while the inner sheet around the strand-shaped core formed position of the jacket, in the axial Direction has an adhesive seam.

The covering or the jacket of the smoke product according to the invention may have an end porosity, in one embodiment, that is greater than 30 and less than 1,000 Coresta units. This Product is like a conventional cigarillo, can be smoked by itself but also put in a usual cigarette filter sleeve and then to be smoked. In another variant according to the invention can to manufacture the tobacco films of the jacket so that the Porosity of the jacket formed from the cover sheet and binder is in the range of 10,000 to 30,000 Coresta units, therefore has a very large porosity, so that this smoking product is not smokable by itself and only as a plug-in cigarillo usual known sleeves can be inserted and smoked.
In principle, the one according to the invention which can be smoked by itself rod-shaped smoke product according to the first variant in one for Cigarillos usual length are made; it can with one Filter mouthpiece of the usual type, i.e. also with a ventilated one Filters, which are preferably laser-perforated, are provided, which takes into account the trend towards the lights cigarillo. The inventive Rod-shaped smoke product can also be oversized Lengths are made to it according to DE PS 42 06 507 depending To be able to divide smoking habits; according to DE PS 41 07 027 beveled at the end to better match it To be able to use sleeves.
