  • the electric motor 102 which, together with the threaded rod 100 constitutes the adjustment means 80, however, may be positioned in a manner differing from that shown in figs. 5 and 6. In order to allow an inclination of the upper body supporting bed frame part even to a higher extent the adjustment means 80 may be positioned in a more inclined positioned with respect to the hip supporting bed frame part 34, and, therefore, to the support frame 16.
  • Shifting the articulation axis 90 of the upper body supporting bed frame part leads to a further advantage, which can be seen in fig. 1. Adjusting the inclination of the respective bed frame parts might lead to the problem of the side rail members 40, 42 abutting against each other with their end portions 112, 114, thereby locking a further inclination movement of the bed frame parts.
  • moving the articulation axis 90 of the upper body supporting bed frame part 32 away from the thigh supporting bed frame part 36 also moves side rail member 40 mounted to the upper body supporting bed frame part 32 away from side rail member 42 mounted to the thigh supporting bed frame part 36 via the lower leg portion supporting bed frame part 38, thus providing sufficient free space between the end portions 112, 114 of the respective side rail members 40, 42 upon a swinging movement of the bed frame parts.
  • side rail members 40, 42 are contoured so as to assist such a providing of sufficient free space.
  • the end portion 112 of side rail member 40 is inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis of said side rail member 40 so as to extend in an upwards direction away from the end portion 114 of side rail member 42.
  • the end portion 112 has a substantially circular outline with the circle centre lying in the region of the articulation axis 90. Therefore, upon a swinging movement of the upper body supporting bed frame part 32 about the articulation axis 90, irrespective of the linear movement of the articulation axis 90, there are no parts of the side rail member 40 which move towards the end portion 114 of side rail member 42, which also avoids an abutment of end portion 112 against end portion 114.
  • the adjustment means 80 may comprise any adjustment means adapted for adjusting the inclination of the respective bed frame part, e.g., a cylinder piston device, etc.
  • the end portion 114 of side rail member 42 is inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis of side rail member 42 in an upward direction and towards the end portion 112 of side rail member 40. Together with the specific contour of the outline of the end portion 112 this leads to a safety wall constituted by the side rail members 40, 42, which is substantially closed and which avoids an excessive gap between the side rail members 40, 42, yet, the swinging movement of the respective bed frame parts is not obstructed by the side rail members 40, 42.
  • the bed of the present invention allows a patient placed on the bed to easily control the inclination of various bed frame parts without running the risk that upon an erroneous activation of any one of the adjustment means for adjusting the inclination of the bed frame parts the bed frame parts come into an inclination position with respect to each other in which the patient may suffer pain or may even be injured.
  • This safety system of the present invention in combination with the particular design of the side rail members mounted to the bed also provides that no structural members of the bed may interfere with each other upon adjusting the inclination of one of the bed frame parts. Automatic monitoring and controlling of the angular distance between the respective bed frame parts to a suitable value enables even persons who are not familiar with handling such technical equipment to properly adjust and correct inclination of the respective bed frame parts with respect to each other.

Claims (15)

  1. Bett, insbesondere Krankenhausbett, umfassend eine Bettrahmenstruktur, wobei die Bettrahmenstruktur umfaßt:
    einen höhen- und/oder neigungsverstellbaren Trägerrahmen (16), wobei der Trägerrahmen (16) eine Längsachse des Betts und eine Trägerebene definiert,
    einen Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (32), welcher an dem Trägerrahmen (16) in einem Hüft-lagernden Bereich desselben derart gelenkig gelagert ist, daß er um eine im wesentlichen orthogonal bezüglich der Längsachse und innerhalb der Trägerebene liegende Achse (90) schwenkbar ist, und einen Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (36), welcher an dem Trägerrahmen (16) in seinem Hüft-lagernden Abschnitt derart gelagert ist, daß er um eine bezüglich der Längsachse im wesentlichen orthogonale und innerhalb der Trägerebene liegende Achse schwenkbar ist, zum Einstellen einer Liege- und/oder Sitzposition des Bettes (10),
    jedem der Bettrahmenteile (32, 36) zugeordnete Einstellmittel (80, 82) zum Einstellen des Neigungswinkels a1, a2 von jedem der Bettrahmenteile (32, 36) bezüglich des Trägerrahmens (16), wobei die Einstellmittel (80, 82) durch ein Steuer-/Regelmittel (88, 89) steuerbar/regelbar sind,
    jedem der Bettrahmenteile (32, 36) zugeordnete Neigungswinkel-Bestimmungsmittel (in 88) zum Bestimmen eines Neigungswinkels a1, a2 von jedem der Bettrahmenteile (32, 36),
    ein Winkelabstand-Bestimmungsmittel (in 88) zum Bestimmen eines Winkelabstands ad zwischen dem Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (32) und dem Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (36), und
    ein Sicherheitsmittel (in 88) zum Verhindern, daß der Winkelabstand ad in einen unerwünschten Winkelbereich eintritt, falls wenigstens eines der Einstellmittel (80, 82) zum Einstellen des Neigungswinkels a1, a2 des jeweiligen Bettrahmenteils (32, 36) betätigt ist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß das Steuer-/Regelmittel (88, 89) ein Steuer-/Regelmodus-Wahlmittel (90) zum Wählen einer Mehrzahl von verschiedenen Steuer-/Regelmodi des Steuer-/Regelmittels (88) umfaßt, wobei die Steuer-/Regelmodi einen Modus umfassen, in welchem eine Neigungsposition eines Elements eines Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) und des Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (36) gegenüber der Neigungsposition des jeweils anderen Elements von Oberkörperlagerndem Bettrahmenteil (32) und Oberschenkel-lagerndem Bettrahmenteil (36) Vorrang besitzt, falls der Winkelabstand (ad) in den unerwünschten Winkelbereich fällt.
  2. Bett nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Steuer-/Regelmodus-Wahlmittel (90) ein erstes Steuer-/Regel-Modus-Wahlmittel (90) umfaßt zum Auswählen eines Knie-nach-oben-Steuer-/Regelmodus, in welchem der Oberschenkel-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (36) angehoben wird und in welchem der Oberkörper-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (32) von seiner Neigungsposition in dem Fall abgesenkt wird, in welchem der Winkelabstand ad unter einen vorbestimmten Minimalwert admin fällt, um den vorbestimmten Minimalwert admin des Winkelabstands ad zwischen dem Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (32) und dem Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (36) aufrechtzuerhalten.
  3. Bett nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei das Steuer-/Regelmodus-Wahlmittel (90) ein zweites Steuer-/Regel-Modus-Wahlmittel (90) umfaßt zum Wählen eines Kopf-nach-oben-Steuer-/Regelmodus, in welchem der Oberkörper-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (32) angehoben wird, und in welchem der Oberschenkel-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (36) von seiner Neigungsposition in dem Fall abgesenkt wird, in welchem der Winkelabstand ad unter einen vorbestimmten Minimalwert admin fällt, um den vorbestimmten Minimalwert admin des Winkelabstands ad zwischen dem Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (32) und dem Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (36) aufrechtzuerhalten.
  4. Bett nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, wobei der Oberkörper-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (32) und/oder der Oberschenkel-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (36) lediglich in dem Fall abgesenkt werden, in welchem die Neigungsposition eine maximale Neigungsposition des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils und/oder des Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteils ist.
  5. Bett nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, wobei der Oberkörper-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (32) und/oder der Oberschenkel-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (36) lediglich in dem Fall abgesenkt werden, in welchem die Neigungsposition eine Neigungsposition des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) und/oder des Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (36) innerhalb eines vorbestimmten Winkelbereichs im Bereich einer Position maximaler Neigung des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) und/oder des Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (36) ist.
  6. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei das Steuer-/Regelmittel (88) an einem Seitenschienenelement (40) angeordnet ist, welches mit dem Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (32) oder dem Oberschenkellagernden Bettrahmenteil (36) verbunden ist.
  7. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, ferner umfassend ein Sperrsteuer-/regelmittel (91) zum Sperren der Steuerung/Regelung des Betriebs der Einstellmittel (80, 82) über das Steuer-/Regelmittel (90), wobei das Sperrsteuer-/regelmittel lediglich von dem Krankenhauspersonal bedienbar ist.
  8. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei der Oberkörper-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (32) und der Oberschenkel-lagernde Bettrahmenteil (36) mit einem am Trägerrahmen (16) fest angebrachten Hüft-lagernden Bettrahmenteil (34) gelenkig verbunden sind, wobei die Schwenkachse (90) des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) in der Längsrichtung bei einer Schwenkbewegung des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) derart bewegbar ist, daß sie sich in dem Fall auf die Schwenkachse des Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (36) zu bewegt, in welchem die Schwenkbewegung des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) eine Absenkbewegung ist, und in dem Fall von der Schwenkachse des Oberschenkel-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (36) wegbewegt, in welchem die Schwenkbewegung des Oberkörper-lagernden Bettrahmenteils (32) eine Anhebebewegung ist.
  9. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8 in Kombination mit einer Seitenschienenanordnung, wobei die Seitenschienenanordnung ein erstes Seitenschienenelement (40) umfaßt, welches an einem ersten Bettrahmenteil (32) in einem seitlichen Abschnitt desselben angebracht ist und eine Längsachse aufweist, welche sich im wesentlichen parallel zu einer durch den ersten Bettrahmenteil (32) definierten Ebene erstreckt, und ein zweites Seitenschienenelement (42) umfaßt, welches am zweiten Bettrahmenteil (38) in einem seitlichen Abschnitt desselben angebracht ist und eine Längsachse aufweist, welche sich im wesentlichen parallel zu einer durch den zweiten Bettrahmenteil definierten Ebene erstreckt, wobei der erste lagernde Bettrahmenteil (32) und der zweite Bettrahmenteil (38) an einem Trägerrahmen (16) des Betts um jeweils eine erste und eine zweite Achse drehbar gelagert sind, um eine Liege- und/oder Sitzposition des Betts einzustellen, wobei das erste Seitenschienenelement (40) und das zweite Seitenschienenelement (42) ein Sicherheitswandelement des Bettes bilden, wobei ein zu einem axialen Endabschnitt (114) des zweiten Seitenschienenelements (42) benachbart angeordneter axialer Endabschnitt (112) des ersten Seitenschienenelements (40) und/oder der axiale Endabschnitt (114) des zweiten Seitenschienenelements (42) derart ausgestaltet sind, daß sie bei einer Schwenkbewegung von wenigstens einem der ersten und zweiten Bettrahmenteile sich nicht gegenseitig stören.
  10. Bett nach Anspruch 9, wobei das erste und das zweite Seitenschienenelement (40, 42) schwenkbar am ersten Bettrahmenteil (40) und am zweiten Bettrahmenteil (42) derart angebracht sind, daß sie zwischen einer angehobenen Position, in welcher das erste und das zweite Seitenschienenelement (40, 42) gemeinsam die Sicherheitswandelemente bilden, und einer abgesenkten Position verschwenkbar sind, in welcher das erste und das zweite Seitenschienenelement (40, 42) einen seitlichen Zugang zum Bett erlauben.
  11. Bett nach Anspruch 9 oder 10, wobei der axiale Endabschnitt (112) des ersten Seitenschienenelementes (40) einen schräg verlaufenden Abschnitt mit einer Umrißlinie umfaßt, welche bezüglich der Längsachse des ersten Seitenschienenelements (40) geneigt ist, wobei die Umrißlinie in einer Richtung nach oben weg von dem zweiten Seitenschienenelement (42) schräg verläuft.
  12. Bett nach Anspruch 11, wobei der schräg verlaufende Abschnitt eine näherungsweise kreisförmige Umrißlinie aufweist, wobei ein Mittelpunkt der näherungsweise kreisförmigen Umrißlinie im Bereich der ersten Achse (90) liegt.
  13. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 12, wobei der axiale Endabschnitt (114) des zweiten Seitenschienenelements (42) einen schräg verlaufenden Abschnitt mit einer Umrißlinie aufweist, welche bezüglich der Längsachse des zweiten Seitenschienenelements (42) geneigt ist, wobei die Umrißlinie in einer Richtung nach oben zu dem ersten Seitenschienenelement (40) hin schräg verläuft.
  14. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 13, wobei das erste und das zweite Seitenschienenelement (40, 42) an jeder Seite des Bettes vorgesehen sind.
  15. Bett nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 14, wobei der erste Bettrahmenteil (32) ein Oberkörper-lagernder Bettrahmenteil (32) ist und der zweite Bettrahmenteil (38) ein den unteren Beinabschnitt lagernder Bettrahmenteil (38) ist, welcher an einem Oberschenkel-lagernden Teil (36) gelenkig gelagert ist, wobei der Oberschenkel-lagernde Teil (36) direkt an dem Trägerrahmen (16) gelenkig gelagert ist.
