Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pedal device, in particular for actuating a motor vehicle clutch, of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, as is known for example from EP-A-0 480 602.
  • pedal devices are used in pedal devices in order to reduce the required pedal actuation forces after their so-called dead center has been exceeded.
  • the dead center spring is designed as a compression spring in the form of a helical spring mounted on a preferably telescopic guide rod (e.g. DE-C-29 23 027; DE-C-38 41 719)
  • pedal devices are also known (e.g. B. EP-A-0 480 602), in which a leaf spring arrangement is provided as an over-center spring.
  • This leaf spring arrangement preferably consists of a package of several stacked spring leaves, which are arranged exactly in the pivoting plane of the pedal and are firmly and rigidly clamped at one end in a mounting block which is fixed to the structure.
  • the pivotable pedal is supported with the roller-reinforced free end of an angled pedal arm on the leaf spring assembly, in the area of the free spring end.
  • the leaf spring assembly and pedal are designed and spatially aligned with one another such that the leaf spring assembly on the one hand on the pedal in its rest position supports this rest position Exerts spring force and on the other hand exerts a spring force supporting the actuation force when the pedal is actuated after exceeding a so-called dead center position still located in the vicinity of the pedal rest position.
  • This known arrangement is structurally and technically similarly complex and thus similarly expensive as known arrangements with helical compression springs mounted on telescopic guide rods.
  • a generic pedal device is known from FR-A-2 15 77 16.
  • This shows as a dead center spring a preloaded flat spring leaf which is designed and installed in the pedal device such that it is subjected to buckling.
  • a spring leaf is inexpensive to manufacture and, moreover, comparatively easy to assemble and disassemble.
  • the problem in the embodiment shown in FR-A-2 15 77 16, however, is the storage of the free spring leaf ends.
  • one of the free spring leaf ends is supported against the pedal via an additional eyelet. An additional assembly process is therefore necessary.
  • the spring leaf ends are angular and expose the opposite bearing surfaces to increased wear.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a pedal device of the type mentioned in the preambles of claims 1 and 2, which is structurally simple and is characterized by ease of installation and reliability.
  • the abutments receiving the free spring leaf ends are designed in such a way that they each have convex cylindrical surfaces oriented approximately parallel to the bearing axis of the pivotably mounted pedal.
  • concave bearing pans are formed at its free ends, the shape of which corresponds to the convex cylindrical surfaces.
  • the two abutments each have concave bearing pans oriented approximately parallel to the bearing axis.
  • its free ends are bent into convex cylindrical surfaces which correspond to the concave bearing pans.
  • a pedal for example the clutch pedal of a motor vehicle is pivotally mounted about a mounting axis 2 fixed.
  • the two spatial limit positions of the pedal are shown, namely once - fully extended - the pedal, which is numbered 1 as far as it will come to rest against a stop 11, and - shown in dashed lines - the pedal which is in its rest position and which is numbered 1 '
  • This leaf spring arrangement is designed as a simple flat spring leaf 3 of approximately C-shape, as can be seen in FIG. 2.
  • the effective spring force acting direction 13 ' which runs through the two abutments 4 and 5', runs below the fixed bearing axis 2 and, as desired, exerts a force holding the pedal in its rest position.
  • the articulated coupling of the C-shaped spring leaf 3 to the two abutments 4 and 5 takes place without spring eyes molded onto the spring ends.
  • concave bearing pans 8 and 9, respectively, are formed on the two free ends of the C-shaped flat spring leaf 3, with which the spring leaf is supported on corresponding convex cylinder surfaces 6 and 7 of the two abutments 4 and 5.
  • These cylinder surfaces 6, 7 are aligned parallel to one another and to the bearing axis 2 fixed to the body.
  • the built-in spring leaf 3 thus lies “loosely” between the two abutments 4, 5.
  • Fig. 3 contain the two abutments 4, 5 no convex cylindrical surfaces aligned parallel to the bearing axis 2, but rather concave bearing pans 14, 15 aligned approximately parallel to the bearing axis 2, in which the pretensioned flat spring leaf 3 is supported with its free ends in an articulated manner, for which purpose at the two free ends of the spring leaf Corresponding convex-cylindrical bearing surfaces are each arranged with these concave bearing pans 14, 15.
  • both abutments each with lateral bearing cheeks 10 in order to reliably prevent any possible slipping or wandering away of the spring leaf 3 during operation.
