Description

The invention relates to a container for tubular bag packaging with an open body at the upper end, which can receive a tubular bag vertically in the longitudinal direction, and with a movably connected to the body and lockable in the closed state of use, which has an opening in the front area through which the front corner of the tubular bag can protrude.

The increasing demand for ecologically sensible packaging has given the tubular bag made of polyethylene a new meaning, as it is superior to all other forms of packaging, including the reusable bottle made of glass or plastic, in the ecological balance sheet. The decisive disadvantage of this form of packaging is the difficult handling, which has prevented the economic breakthrough of this packaging so far.

For easier handling of such tubular bag packaging, a container of the aforementioned type is already known from US-A-3,255,932, but is unsatisfactory because the tubular bag must have a special shape. This not only makes the production of the bag more expensive, but the container can only be used sensibly in conjunction with this specially adapted bag. In this known container, the upper end of the tubular bag held on the side of the lid opposite the opening in that a flap-like extension of the tubular bag provided with a hole is passed through a slot in the lid and locked by means of a pin inserted through the hole.

The invention has for its object to improve the generic container so that it enables easy storage and safe operation of a tubular bag packaging with pourable or pourable content.

A generic container corresponding to this requirement is characterized according to the invention in that the lid cooperates in the rear area with a downwardly projecting web which, when the lid is in use, presses the rear corner of the tubular bag against a counter surface arranged in the area of the rear wall of the body.

The container according to the invention makes it possible to hold the opened tubular bag in a vertical position so that it can be stored without leakage. Furthermore, the container according to the invention allows the contents to be removed easily at any filling level and the bag to be completely emptied.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the web is attached to the lid.

The cover can be placed on the body or pivotally connected in its rear area to the rear wall of the body. In both cases, the top of the lid is expediently inclined toward its front area so that the front corner of the tubular bag protrudes from the opening in the use position of the lid and is easily accessible for cutting.

The lid is advantageously provided with a movable closure element which closes the opening in an end position and clamps the front corner of the tubular bag protruding therethrough. This allows the open Bags are sealed and the liquid contents are prevented from accidentally spilling out.

The container for tubular bag packaging shown in Fig. 1 comprises a body 1 and a lid 2., both of which are made of plastic, preferably polyethylene. The body 1 has such a shape that it can reliably hold a tubular bag 4 vertically in a longitudinal orientation. The lid 2 is releasably attached to the body 1, these two parts interlocking with a resilient locking.

The cover 2, which is elliptical in plan, has in its front region a longitudinal lens-shaped opening 3 through which the front upper corner 5 of the tubular bag 4 penetrates to the outside. For this purpose, the top of the cover 2 is inclined towards its front area. In order to ensure the correct positioning and secure fixation of the tubular bag 4 in the body 1, the lid 2 is provided on the inside in the rear area with a web 6 projecting downwards, and the body 1 is provided with a corresponding projection 7. When the lid 2 is placed on the body 1, the rear upper corner 8 of the tubular bag 4 is clamped between the web 6 of the lid 2 and the projection 7 of the body 1. To improve the clamping effect, the cooperating clamping surfaces of the web 6 and the projection 7 are inclined to the longitudinal axis of the body 1. As a result, the tubular bag 4 is held vertically in every filling state and cannot collapse, which is why it increases with emptying tends when the internal pressure decreases. In the clamping process described, the rear upper corner 8 of the bag 4 is at the same time pressed down, as a result of which the front upper corner 5 of the bag stands up clearly and can thus be better guided through the opening 3 of the lid 2 and easily cut off.

The opening 3 of the cover 2 is equipped with a closure element in the form of an elastic spring clip 9, which can be moved into two stable end positions with the aid of a grip tongue. These end positions each reach the spring tab 9 in parallel contact with the left or right edge 10 of the opening 3 of the lid 2. In order to close the cut-open tubular bag 4, the front upper corner 5 of the bag protruding outwards through the opening 3 becomes between the edge 10 of the opening 3 and the spring clip 9 is clamped by moving it into the other end position. To open the tubular bag 4, the spring tab 9 can be moved back into the other end position.

In this embodiment, the lid 2 'is pivotally connected in its rear region to the rear wall 11 of the container 1'. More specifically, the body 1 'and the cover 2' are made in one piece from plastic, preferably polyethylene, with their connection area being designed like a hinge. In this embodiment, a special projection of the body 1 'can be omitted because the pivoting movement of the cover 2' ensures that the rear upper corner 8 of the tubular bag 4 in the closed use state of the cover 2 'between the web 6' thereof and the rear wall 11 of the body 1 'is reliably clamped.

The second embodiment of the container also differs from the first embodiment in the design of the closure element associated with the lid. In the area of the opening 3 'of the cover 2', two V-shaped wings 12 are arranged, which are attached to the cover 2 'by means of one Slider 13 can be brought into a closed parallel position to each other. For this purpose, the slide 13 is shifted forward from the position shown in FIG. 5 into the position shown in FIG. 6, as a result of which the two wings 12 are forcibly brought closer to one another and clamp the intermediate upper front corner 5 of the tubular bag 4 between them . In order to open the spout of the tubular bag 4 again, the slide 13 is pushed back into its starting position shown in FIG. 5, as a result of which the wings 12 spread and the front corner 5 of the bag is no longer pinched.

The third embodiment shown in FIGS. 9 to 11 differs from the second embodiment explained above only in the design of the closure element assigned to the cover. The opening 3 'formed in the cover 2' is equipped with a visor 14 which can be moved into two stable end positions by means of a rotary knob 15 attached to the cover 2 '. To close the cut-open tubular bag 4, the visor 14 is rotated clockwise with the rotary knob 15 relative to the starting position shown in FIG. 10 into the end position shown in FIG. 11. As a result, the front corner 5 of the tubular bag 4 protruding through the opening 3 'of the lid 2' is clamped between the front edge of the visor 14 and the edge 10 'of the lid opening 3' facing it, and is thus locked. In order to open the spout of the tubular bag 4 again, the visor 14 is rotated counterclockwise with the rotary knob 15 into its starting position shown in FIG. 10.

The fourth embodiment shown in FIGS. 12 to 15 differs from the first embodiment in the design of the closure element assigned to the cover. In this embodiment, the opening 3 ″ of the cover 2 ″ is diamond-shaped. The spring tab 9 'is divided by a hinge 16 into two halves which can be pivoted relative to one another. The front end of the spring tab 9 'is articulated on the cover 2''. The rear end of the spring tab protruding beyond the opening 3 '' 9 'is connected via a further hinge 16 to a leaf spring 17, the two ends of which are supported on the cover 2''. The spring tab 9 'and the leaf spring 17 can be cast as a one-piece component from plastic, the hinges 16 being designed as film hinges.

When the spring tab 9 'is gripped at the rear end serving as a handle and is brought into the central position, its length increases and the leaf spring 17 is deflected. After exceeding its central position, the spring tab 9 'automatically moves under the action of the leaf spring 17 into the other end position, in which it is kept stable under the biasing force of the leaf spring 17. In both end positions of the spring tab 9 ', the rectilinear regions connected by the hinge 16 are pressed against the edge 10' 'of the diamond-shaped opening 3' 'of the cover 2' '.

In order to improve the sealing effect, in all the exemplary embodiments described above, the cooperating sealing surfaces which clamp the tubular bag 4 between them can be provided with corresponding grooves and ribs which engage in the manner of a tongue and groove connection.
