Description

The invention relates to a headbox for the production of a paper machine including the distribution system supplying the stock suspension.

Such a headbox should set the stock density and fiber orientation profile of the paper stock suspension at the latest before the outlet gap in such a way that the basis weight and fiber orientation cross profile of the paper web corresponds to the desired requirements over the entire width, that is to say is generally constant.

When operating a paper machine, there are numerous disruptive factors that conflict with the two requirements mentioned. These disruptive factors include, for example, temperature fluctuations, pressure fluctuations, manufacturing tolerances or design-related irregularities in the headbox, which lead to problematic asymmetries in the paper.

Auf die PCT-Anmeldung WO 89/04396 wird verwiesen.Reference is made to PCT application WO 89/04396.

In the cited document, a headbox is shown which has a modular structure, the headbox consisting of a central distribution system and connected, individual modular forming units which distribute the stock suspension flatly. Disadvantages of the headbox shown are, on the one hand, insufficient symmetry with regard to the suspension guidance and, on the other hand, the lack of precautions for the sectioned influencing of the suspension properties.

The object of the invention is to present a headbox which eliminates the disadvantages of the prior art and at the same time is structurally designed such that that relatively large headboxes can also be produced with small-scale processing machines.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The inventor has recognized that an essential criterion for the production of high-quality papers is that each individual fraction of stock suspensions is treated as equally as possible with respect to the individual positions of the machine width, i.e. that the absolute symmetry also with respect to the "preexistence" of the stock suspension before it leaves the headbox makes a significant contribution to the uniformity of the paper across the machine width. In addition, however, the possibility must also be given to carry out section-specific mixing of material suspensions with different properties, which of course also includes an influence on the material flow per section.

Darin ist im einzelnen folgendes dargestellt:The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the figures. The following is shown in detail:

The illustration shows four rows of modules that are machine-wide in the running direction and structure of a modular forming unit. Each row consists of a set of individual modules, which can be combined with one another in a meaningful manner, whereby of course - not shown in the figure - stacked combinations are also possible, which corresponds to a 3-dimensional modularity. In this example, seen from behind, a connection piece system 1 is first seen, to which the transition piece 2 is connected, followed by a formation element 3, again followed by rectifiers 4 with the nozzle 5 connected to them.

Figure 2 shows different combinations of structural elements in the forming unit. On level A, a connector can be seen under position 1, followed by position 2, a diffuser, followed by a formation element 3, followed by a rectifier 4, which in this case is also constructed as a partial diffuser, followed by a nozzle 5 with a straight upper and lower lip. In level B, two different connection systems can be seen under 1 and 2, one with a 90 ° curvature or with a 45 ° connection, followed by a directly following, differently designed formation element, the also differently designed rectifier 4 and a subsequent one on both sides S -shaped material outlet nozzle 5. Level C shows an extended extension 1 with a shortened intermediate piece 2, followed by an intermediate piece 3, which in the beginning consists of a pipe distribution grid with a subsequent formation element, then in part 4 a nozzle-like turbulence insert 4 with the Nozzle 5 connected thereto. In level D at position 3 there is alternatively shown a perforated roller insert which can be combined with any configuration of levels AC. Likewise, all elements of levels A-D at positions 1-5 can of course be combined in a meaningful way.

Furthermore, it is of course possible, e.g. use a mixing valve instead of positions 1 and / or 2, e.g. is known from the application G 92 05 111. In this way, it is possible to combine the properties of the stock suspension with the mixing valve and corresponding control units with e.g. to operate two central distributors in the sense of the invention.

Die Formiereinheit ist aufgebaut wie in den Figuren 1 und 2 beschrieben.FIG. 3 shows a headbox system with the central distributor 1 according to the invention, which simultaneously functions as a damping element in the known sense. The Material suspension is fed from the central distributor 1 to the connecting piece system of the forming unit 3 via flexible lines 2 attached to the central distributor. The forming unit is constructed as described in FIGS. 1 and 2.

According to the invention, it is correspondingly possible to install a second central distributor, both central distributors deliver material suspensions of different qualities, and the second central distributor is also connected to the connecting piece system via flexible lines either via a mixing valve, or an alternating connection of lines of the first and afterwards of the second central distributor is made in a mixing chamber.
