Description

The invention relates to a switch mat or plate according to the preamble of claim 1.

Switch mats are known, for example, from DE 38 21 305 A1, in which two switch strips are installed in a switch mat made of a rubber-elastic material, each of which consists of a plurality of contact plates, which abut one another with their end edges and are held together by expander cords passed through them. A contact track runs in these contact plates, and the configuration is such that each of the contact plates has at its ends contact points which come into contact with the contact points of the adjacent plate-shaped element. When the switch mat is touched and the plate-shaped elements move apart, the contact points are separated, so that the circuit is interrupted.

Switch mats of this type can generally not be designed with sufficient sensitivity to effect a switching process even at low pressures.

A switching mat of the type according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from GB 1 394 064, in which leaf springs are provided either on one or on both sides of an insulating base plate, which form the current-carrying contact path. The leaf springs are provided with holes at certain points, through which steel contact pins engage with a wide head, which presses from the outside against the leaf springs pressed against the head under their own elasticity. When the leaf springs are pressed, the head of the contact pin is free, so that the current path is interrupted. This applies both to the embodiment shown in said GB 1 394 064 with a contact pin fixedly arranged on the base plate and also to a variant also shown there, in which the contact pin has two contact heads provided at its end between two leaf springs arranged on both sides of the base plate is held. In such designs, the triggering of a switching process can be jeopardized if the pressure is exerted on the device directly in the area of the switching head of a contact pin, since the contact pin there even with actuated leaf springs still has a certain area of its circumference at the hole in the leaf springs can concern. A safe switching process is therefore only possible through the use of appropriate monitoring devices for the flowing current. Sensitive operation is not possible with such designs.

The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a switch mat or plate of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that sensitive actuation is possible, and that the entire surface of the switch mat or plate is divided into small areas can be subdivided, where a touch already leads to an interruption of contact.

To achieve this object, the characterizing features of claim 1 are provided in a switch mat or plate of the type mentioned.

These configurations make it possible in each case to provide the entire surface of the switch mat or plate with contact elements, the spacing of which is determined only by the size of the contact heads and the insulating spacing necessary between adjacent branches of the contact track. This configuration therefore allows a very fine subdivision of the surface of a circuit board or mat with contact elements which, because of their small size and the direct connection of the switching pins to one of the planar bodies, also enable sensitive actuation.

In a further development of the invention, the features of claim 2 can be provided, which enable a compact and flat design.

Due to the features of claim 3, two independent circuits are formed. A safety mat or plate constructed in this way has two redundant safety systems and can therefore be used in particular where there are increased demands on safety. The configuration can expediently be such that the contact path assigned to one of the plates or mats and the contact heads interacting with it run at a distance from the contact path assigned to the other plate or mat. The contact path of one of the plates or mats expediently runs in the middle between the parallel branches of the meandering contact path of the other plate or mat.

Other advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in claim 4. Sensors are assigned to the recesses, which are actuated by the contact head interrupting the contact path when a switching pin is actuated. This configuration namely also makes it possible to determine at which point the contact path was interrupted. This is e.g. a decisive advantage for safety devices which are also intended to determine where an operator is located.

Sie hat sich daher in der Mitte etwas durchgebogen.1 to 3, a circuit board is shown schematically, which consists of two substantially parallel flat bodies in the form of plates (1) and (2), of which the upper one has a certain elasticity, and compared to the lower plate (2) and an intermediate guide plate (3) is elastically supported by the fact that foam strips (4), which can also be part of a punched-out foam mat, for a certain small distance (a) between the upper plate (1) and the Ensure the guide plate (3) when the upper plate (1) is not touched and is in the idle state. In the position shown in Fig. 2, a certain force is exerted on the center of the plate (1). It has therefore bent a little in the middle.

The plates (1, 2 and 3) are made of insulating material. Fixed to the upper plate (1) are the ends of contact pins (5) which, in the exemplary embodiment, merge from their respective fastening ends in the plate (1) into a part of larger diameter, which in turn is guided in the guide plate (3) so as to be longitudinally displaceable is. The contact pins (5) have at their end facing away from the fastening end a disk-shaped contact head (6) which, like the contact pins (5), consists of an electrically conductive material. It would also be possible to manufacture the contact pins (5) themselves from non-conductive material and to place contact heads made of conductive material thereon. However, the one-piece production of the contact pins (5) from an electrically conductive material, for example from aluminum, is simpler.

The contact heads are, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, in each case in the dimensions of the contact heads (6) adapted circular recesses (7) are provided, which are provided in the lowermost plate (2), and which have a depth that each corresponds to the maximum switching path of the contact pins (5), which is given by the distance (a) between the upper plate (1) and the guide plate (3) which is present in the idle state.

Die Kontaktstifte (5) und die Vertiefungen (7) sind, wie den Figuren 1 und 3 zu entnehmen ist, jeweils in parallelen Reihen und in gleichem Abstand zueinander angeordnet, so daß sich die Kontaktstifte (5) rastermäßig auf der gesamten Fläche der oberen, zur Betätigung dienenden Platte (1) verteilen.1 and 3, the contact pins (5) and the depressions (7) are each arranged in parallel rows and at the same distance from one another, so that the contact pins (5) are arranged in a grid pattern over the entire surface of the upper, Distribute the plate (1) used for actuation.

Between the guide plate (3) and the lower plate (2) runs a contact path (8), which is laid so that it intersects the axes of the contact pins (5) and therefore also crosses the area of the contact heads (6). The contact path (8) runs in a meandering manner through the areas of the contact heads (6), and it has the connection points (9) and (10), at each of which a power supply can be applied to the side of the circuit board.

As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 2, the contact path (8), which can for example be firmly connected to the guide plate (3), extends laterally into the area of the depressions (7) so that it extends below the contact heads (6) is enough. When the top plate (1) is not actuated, all switching pins (5) with their contact heads (6) are in series; the circuit connected at positions (9) and (10) is closed.

If, as shown in Fig. 2, the upper plate (1) is bent by a force acting on it, then at least one switch head (6) is pressed so far into its recess (7) that the contact track (8 ) is interrupted. This also breaks the circuit.

Seine Betätigung führt zur Unterbrechung des Schaltkreises, der zur Überwachung eingesetzt werden kann.2 is chosen so that not only one of the switch heads (6) interrupts the contact path by bending the plate (1), but several switch heads. However, the configuration can also be made without further ado that, with a larger dimension of the plate (1) and a local deformation, under certain circumstances only one switch head is pressed into its recess (7). However, this also leads to an interruption in the circuit. Each of the switching pins (5) represents a disconnector. Its actuation leads to the interruption of the circuit, which can be used for monitoring.

Die Ausführungsform der Fig. 4 bis 6 eröffnet daher in einfacher Weise die Möglichkeit einer mit zwei redundanten Sicherheitskreisen ausgerüsteten Schaltplatte.4 to 6 show a modification of the circuit board of FIGS. 1 to 3 insofar as here two plates (11 and 12) are now each fixed to the ends of the switching pins (5) and (5 ') and rotated by 180 ° to one another by interposing the foam strips (4) so that the switching space (a) is formed between them. The plate (11) and its switching pins (5) are assigned the lower plate (21) with their depressions (7), the lower plate (12) and their switching pins (5 ') the upper cover plate (22) with the depressions ( 7 '). In this embodiment, which corresponds approximately to the double design of the switch plate of FIGS. 1 to 3, the plates (11 and 12) each take on the function of a guide plate for the switch pins (5 and 5 '). The plate (12) therefore serves as a guide plate for the switching pins (5) which are fixedly connected to the plate (11) and vice versa, the plate (11) serves as a guide plate for the switching pins (5 ') which are fixed to the plate (12) are connected. 5 shows, therefore, when a force is exerted on the upper cover plate (22) and the plate (11) is deformed as a result, the switching pins (5) of this plate (11) are inserted into the depressions (7) in the lower cover plate (21) pressed, but at the same time also the switching pins (5 ') of the lower plate (12) into the recesses (7') of the upper cover plate (22). Since on the side of the plate (12) facing the plate (21) the contact path (8), and on the side of the plate (11) facing the plate (22) the contact path (8 ') runs in the same manner as that which has already been explained with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3, is therefore in the 4 to 6 both the circuit at the connection points (9 and 10) and the circuit interrupted, which is applied at the points (13 and 14) of the upper plate (11). The embodiment of FIGS. 4 to 6 therefore easily opens up the possibility of a circuit board equipped with two redundant safety circuits.

Finally, FIG. 7 shows a way in which the position of the isolating switches formed by the contact pins (5) can be displayed with relatively simple means, each of which has caused the circuit to be interrupted. For this purpose, sensors (15) are attached to the base of the recesses (7) of the cover plate (21), which are pressed into the associated recess (7) when the switching head of the switching pin (5) pressed down by the switching path allow to issue a signal with which the location of the respectively triggered disconnector can be localized. The sensors (15) can e.g. formed as piezoelectric elements and connected to a display panel via contact paths, not shown. Such an embodiment also allows e.g. to display the position of an operator relative to a robot monitored by the circuit board of the invention, for example in order to switch off robot movements in good time if the operator comes too close to the danger zone.
