Definitions
- the invention relates to a pushbutton panel made of plastic, in particular for communication terminals, with a plurality of interconnected pushbuttons, in which resilient spring arms are formed on two opposite lower corners of each pushbutton of a row of buttons and parallel to the plane of the side surfaces, and each with all free ends of the spring arms connecting webs lying transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spring arms are connected.
- Such a keypad is known for example from GB-A-2 072 584.
- the use of complete pushbuttons significantly simplifies assembly compared to assembly with individual buttons.
- a disadvantage of the known push button fields is that if a part of the push button field breaks in the installed state, functions of individual buttons are lost, which results in an exchange of the entire push button field.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a pushbutton field of the type mentioned, in which the function of the individual keys is maintained in the event of a break in the installed state.
- the spring arms are formed on two diagonally opposite lower corners and each run obliquely downwards, that directly adjacent spring arms of two push buttons are directed obliquely downwards in the opposite direction, the Spring arms of the pushbuttons of adjacent rows are each arranged so that the upper and lower ends of the spring arms are directly opposite each other, and that in each case all lower ends of the spring arms are connected via tapering to the connecting webs lying transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spring arms.
- the individual keys are connected to one another via the connecting webs in such a way that they form a coherent, easy-to-assemble pushbutton field. Due to the tapering provided according to the invention when connecting the lower ends of the spring arms to the connecting webs, a predetermined breaking point is created, at which a break occurs when the push buttons are overused. Due to the construction according to the invention, the function of the single key is not impaired by this break, since the function of the spring arm is fully retained. In the assembled state, a preload is achieved via the spring arms, which prevents rattling noises of the individual pushbuttons even under unfavorable operating conditions. Furthermore, the spring arms automatically reset the key bodies independently of built-in switching elements.

- An expedient development of the push-button panel according to the invention is characterized in that the spring arms and the connecting webs form a uniform grid arrangement for each keypad. This results in a simple geometry of the pushbutton field.
- buttons extend over two or more whole raster units. In this way it is ensured that when using keys of different sizes there is no need to change the arrangement of the spring arms and connecting webs.
- FIG. 1 and 2 show the structure according to the invention of a pushbutton field consisting of twelve pushbuttons 1 of the same size.
- Elastic spring arms 4 are formed on two diagonally opposite lower corners of each push button 1.
- the spring arms 4 of the individual pushbuttons 1 are arranged such that directly adjacent spring arms 4 of two pushbuttons 1 lying next to one another are directed obliquely downward in the opposite direction. From the two FIGURES it can also be seen that the spring arms 4 of the push buttons 1 are arranged in such a way that the upper and lower ends of the spring arms 4 lie directly opposite each other between adjacent rows of buttons. All lower ends of the elastic spring arms 4 are connected to connecting webs 6 running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spring arms 4 via tapered portions 12. These tapers 12 can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. 4.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 and 3 show a pushbutton field with eight different pushbuttons 2 and 3.
- the structure corresponds in principle to the structure of the pushbutton field shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. It should only be shown here in connection with the first two FIGURES that the spring arms 4 and 5 and the connecting webs 6 and 7 form a uniform grid arrangement regardless of the size of the pushbutton field or the size of the individual pushbuttons, in order to provide a simple geometry receive. Different sized pushbuttons, e.g. B. 3, are used, these larger push buttons, z. B. 3, each over two or more whole grid units of the grid arrangement.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pushbutton panel made of plastic, in particular for communication terminals, with a plurality of interconnected pushbuttons, in which resilient spring arms are formed on two opposite lower corners of each pushbutton of a row of buttons and parallel to the plane of the side surfaces, and each with all free ends of the spring arms connecting webs lying transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spring arms are connected.
Such a keypad is known for example from GB-A-2 072 584. The use of complete pushbuttons significantly simplifies assembly compared to assembly with individual buttons. A disadvantage of the known push button fields is that if a part of the push button field breaks in the installed state, functions of individual buttons are lost, which results in an exchange of the entire push button field.
The object of the present invention is to provide a pushbutton field of the type mentioned, in which the function of the individual keys is maintained in the event of a break in the installed state.
This object is achieved for a push button field of the type mentioned in that the spring arms are formed on two diagonally opposite lower corners and each run obliquely downwards, that directly adjacent spring arms of two push buttons are directed obliquely downwards in the opposite direction, the Spring arms of the pushbuttons of adjacent rows are each arranged so that the upper and lower ends of the spring arms are directly opposite each other, and that in each case all lower ends of the spring arms are connected via tapering to the connecting webs lying transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spring arms.
The individual keys are connected to one another via the connecting webs in such a way that they form a coherent, easy-to-assemble pushbutton field.
An embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the spring arms run parallel to the plane of the end faces of the push buttons. This embodiment represents an alternative arrangement of the spring arms to the arrangement of the spring arms according to
An expedient development of the push-button panel according to the invention is characterized in that the spring arms and the connecting webs form a uniform grid arrangement for each keypad. This results in a simple geometry of the pushbutton field.
Another expedient embodiment of the push button field according to the invention is characterized in that larger buttons extend over two or more whole raster units. In this way it is ensured that when using keys of different sizes there is no need to change the arrangement of the spring arms and connecting webs.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with the aid of two exemplary pushbutton fields shown in the drawing.

- FIG 2
- FIG 3
- FIG 4
- FIG. 1
- 3 shows a perspective top view of a pushbutton field with twelve pushbuttons of the same size,
- FIG 2
- 2 shows a perspective view of the pushbutton field shown in FIG. 1 from below,
- FIG 3
- a top perspective view of a push button panel with eight different sized push buttons, and
- FIG 4
- a section through two push buttons of the push button field shown in Figure 3.
Diese Verjüngungen 12 sind besonders deutlich der FIG 4 zu entnehmen.1 and 2 show the structure according to the invention of a pushbutton field consisting of twelve
With the help of the connecting
B. 3, jeweils über zwei oder auch mehrere ganze Rastereinheiten der Rasteranordnung.2 and 3 show a pushbutton field with eight
This can be seen very clearly from the section through two different sized
