Definitions
- the invention relates to a built-in sink with at least one basin, which has first surface areas, such as the pool floor, which are subject to heavy use, and second surface areas, such as the basin side walls, which are less stressed in use, and in which the first surface areas are provided with a three-dimensional surface structure and the second surface areas are smooth.
- Built-in sinks usually have at least one sink, also a so-called drainer, which is generally provided with longitudinal ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the sink, a circumferential, raised edge, and optionally a small sink between the sink and drainer, namely a so-called residual trough, and finally often at least one elevated, flat area for attaching a water outlet fitting, namely a so-called battery bank, which in particular is approximately in the middle of the built-in sink at the front and / or rear adjacent to the surrounding, raised edge.
- a water outlet fitting namely a so-called battery bank
- the different surface areas of a sink are subjected to different levels of stress in use: pot bottoms, cutlery and the like put particularly heavy stress on the bottom of the sink and the tops of the ribs on the drainer, but also heavily stress the bottom of the rest of the sink Top of the battery bank or banks and the top of the circumferential, raised edge, while there is little risk of other surface areas, such as the basin side walls and the areas of the drainer lying lower than the tops of the ribs, being damaged under normal use, e.g. B. get scratches.
- the nub structure has a disadvantage when abrasively cleaning these sinks, and sinks that, like these well-known SILACRON sinks, have a fairly hard surface can only be cleaned effectively using an abrasive method: cleaning is practically only possible in the area of the nub tips , so that z. B. cannot inevitably remove unavoidable limescale deposits between the knobs, but even fat deposits on the pelvic floor between the knobs can be removed far more poorly than from the smooth pelvic side walls.
- the invention had for its object to provide sinks which, at least when new, also look optically like new, in which the appearance of the surface areas which are heavily used in use is not significantly impaired over a long period of time and whose surface areas which are heavily used are effective and thorough have it cleaned abrasively.
- this object can be achieved according to the invention in that the surface structure of the first surface areas which are heavily used in use is formed by at least approximately straight and parallel grooves, the roughness depth measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the groove being greater than 0.1 ⁇ m and a maximum of about 0.4 ⁇ m, while second surface areas that are less stressed in use are smooth, the term "smooth" again being understood as explained above.
- Such sinks at least when new, also give the impression of a new, unused item, and it has been shown that the surface areas that are subject to heavy use can be easily and effectively cleaned in an abrasive manner despite their three-dimensional surface structure, especially when in the direction the grooves are cleaned.
- the sinks according to the invention look much better after an abrasive cleaning than e.g. B. from resin filled with fillers, which were produced by means of a casting mold, the cavity wall of which was polished in a first wall surface area, which corresponds to the heavily used surface areas of the sink, with a rotating polishing disc, especially if the sinks were hard Have surface and have high color saturation;
- Such sinks with "polished” surface areas often look “cloudy” when new, but especially after an abrasive cleaning.
- the sinks according to the invention can also be cleaned more easily and effectively than sinks with "polished” surface areas in which the grooves form approximately circles.
- the tool used for their production is provided with the desired surface structure, ie ground in the areas in question in the mold cavity wall, so that the surface structure of the mold cavity wall is then formed on the sink surface during the production of the sink.
- the surface design according to the invention is also applicable to sinks which are produced in a different way, e.g. B. on sinks made by deep drawing from stainless steel sheet; in the latter case, the sheet can be ground in the areas to be provided with the surface structure before deep-drawing and then the sheet for deep-drawing can be covered with a film, so that the surface structure according to the invention is not impaired or even destroyed by the deep-drawing process becomes.
- sinks made of stainless steel sheet with a surface that is ground everywhere are known; For this purpose, the sheet is completely ground before deep-drawing, whereupon the ground surface is covered with a plastic film and then the sheet is deep-drawn.
- the disadvantage here, however, is that such a sink lacks the smooth surface areas which are particularly advantageous for the visual impression of the new sink.
- the roughness measured in the longitudinal direction of the groove in the longitudinal direction of the groove is approximately 0.1 ⁇ m and is therefore of the order of magnitude of the roughness of the smooth surface areas.
- the preferred direction of the grooves could extend in any direction of the sink; Both in terms of appearance and in terms of the desire to be able to clean the sink as easily as possible, embodiments are recommended in which the grooves extend in the longitudinal direction of the sink; This not only makes the tools required for the manufacture of the sinks easier to manufacture, but such sinks also look better and are easier to clean than sinks in which the grooves run in a different direction, e.g. B. transverse to the longitudinal direction of the sink - the natural cleaning movement also runs in the longitudinal direction of the sink.
- the built-in sink shown in FIG. 1 has a sink 10 with a sink bottom 12 in which there is an outlet opening 14 and with sink side walls 16 in which there is an overflow opening 18; Furthermore, this built-in sink is provided with a draining surface 20 which has raised longitudinal ribs 22 which extend in the longitudinal direction of the sink. Between the sink 10 and the drainer 20 there is a residual trough 24 in the form of a small basin with a residual trough bottom 26, residual trough side walls 28 and a drain opening 30 in the trough bottom 26.
- a so-called battery bank is provided in front of and behind the residual trough 24, namely a front one Battery bank 32 and a rear battery bank 34, both of which rise above the level of the actual draining surface 20, the upper sides 32a and 34a of which, however, are somewhat lower than the upper side 36a of an elevated edge 36 running around the built-in sink Longitudinal ribs 22 lie lower than the upper side 36a of the peripheral edge 36.
- This preferred embodiment of the built-in sink according to the invention is intended to be one which was produced from a cast resin mixed with fillers, and the fillers can be granular or fibrous fillers.
- the sink floor 12, the residual trough floor 26, the rib tops 22a, the tops 32a and 34a of the two battery banks 32 and 34 and the top 36a of the peripheral edge 36 should now have a grooved structure according to the invention, while all other surface areas of the visible side of the built-in sink according to the invention should be smooth , in particular should have a roughness depth which is of the order of 0.1 ⁇ m (again measured at a cut-off value of 0.8 mm). This grooved structure will be explained in more detail using the example of FIG. 2.
- Fig. 2 those surface areas were provided with a line structure which should have the groove structure of the invention.
- the grooves 100 run in the longitudinal direction of the sink; on the groove bottom, the roughness measured in the longitudinal direction should be approximately 0.1 ⁇ m, while the roughness measured transverse to the longitudinal direction should be approximately 0.2 ⁇ m. All other surface areas of the visible side of the sink according to the invention - measured in any direction - should have a roughness depth of approximately 0.1 ⁇ m and thus be smooth in the sense of the previous definition, which means that they have a high-gloss surface.
- the invention has a particularly advantageous effect in the case of built-in sinks which are produced from colored casting or molding compounds and have a high color saturation.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a built-in sink with at least one basin, which has first surface areas, such as the pool floor, which are subject to heavy use, and second surface areas, such as the basin side walls, which are less stressed in use, and in which the first surface areas are provided with a three-dimensional surface structure and the second surface areas are smooth.
B. Kratzer erhalten.Built-in sinks usually have at least one sink, also a so-called drainer, which is generally provided with longitudinal ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the sink, a circumferential, raised edge, and optionally a small sink between the sink and drainer, namely a so-called residual trough, and finally often at least one elevated, flat area for attaching a water outlet fitting, namely a so-called battery bank, which in particular is approximately in the middle of the built-in sink at the front and / or rear adjacent to the surrounding, raised edge. The different surface areas of a sink, such as a built-in sink, are subjected to different levels of stress in use: pot bottoms, cutlery and the like put particularly heavy stress on the bottom of the sink and the tops of the ribs on the drainer, but also heavily stress the bottom of the rest of the sink Top of the battery bank or banks and the top of the circumferential, raised edge, while there is little risk of other surface areas, such as the basin side walls and the areas of the drainer lying lower than the tops of the ribs, being damaged under normal use, e.g. B. get scratches.
For this reason, BLANCO
GmbH & Co.KG under the brand SILACRON, built-in sinks made of cast resin with fillers, the floors of the sink and the remaining basin, the tops of the ribs of the drainer, the battery banks and the surrounding, raised edge with a knob structure, while the other surface areas the visible side of these built-in sinks, e.g. B. So the basin side walls, smooth and therefore in the new condition of the sinks are glossy ("smooth" is understood to mean a surface whose roughness depends on the size of the filler particles used and is about 0.1 microns in the known sinks described, where the so-called cut-off value for the measurement was 0.8 mm). Thanks to this nub structure, scratches fall z. B. in the bottom of the sink hardly, and the high-gloss surface areas make the sinks look really new, at least when new. However, the nub structure has a disadvantage when abrasively cleaning these sinks, and sinks that, like these well-known SILACRON sinks, have a fairly hard surface can only be cleaned effectively using an abrasive method: cleaning is practically only possible in the area of the nub tips , so that z. B. cannot inevitably remove unavoidable limescale deposits between the knobs, but even fat deposits on the pelvic floor between the knobs can be removed far more poorly than from the smooth pelvic side walls.
The invention had for its object to provide sinks which, at least when new, also look optically like new, in which the appearance of the surface areas which are heavily used in use is not significantly impaired over a long period of time and whose surface areas which are heavily used are effective and thorough have it cleaned abrasively.
Starting from a sink of the type mentioned at the outset, this object can be achieved according to the invention in that the surface structure of the first surface areas which are heavily used in use is formed by at least approximately straight and parallel grooves, the roughness depth measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the groove being greater than 0.1 µm and a maximum of about 0.4 µm, while second surface areas that are less stressed in use are smooth, the term "smooth" again being understood as explained above.
Such sinks, at least when new, also give the impression of a new, unused item, and it has been shown that the surface areas that are subject to heavy use can be easily and effectively cleaned in an abrasive manner despite their three-dimensional surface structure, especially when in the direction the grooves are cleaned. The surface areas with their three-dimensional surface structure, which are subject to heavy wear and tear, look silky matt, and their appearance is not significantly impaired by slight damage to the surface, such as scratches.
It was found that the sinks according to the invention look much better after an abrasive cleaning than e.g. B. from resin filled with fillers, which were produced by means of a casting mold, the cavity wall of which was polished in a first wall surface area, which corresponds to the heavily used surface areas of the sink, with a rotating polishing disc, especially if the sinks were hard Have surface and have high color saturation; Such sinks with "polished" surface areas often look "cloudy" when new, but especially after an abrasive cleaning. In addition, the sinks according to the invention can also be cleaned more easily and effectively than sinks with "polished" surface areas in which the grooves form approximately circles.
In the case of sinks according to the invention produced from casting compounds, molding compounds and the like, the tool used for their production is provided with the desired surface structure, ie ground in the areas in question in the mold cavity wall, so that the surface structure of the mold cavity wall is then formed on the sink surface during the production of the sink. Basically, the surface design according to the invention is also applicable to sinks which are produced in a different way, e.g. B. on sinks made by deep drawing from stainless steel sheet; in the latter case, the sheet can be ground in the areas to be provided with the surface structure before deep-drawing and then the sheet for deep-drawing can be covered with a film, so that the surface structure according to the invention is not impaired or even destroyed by the deep-drawing process becomes. In this context it should be noted that sinks made of stainless steel sheet with a surface that is ground everywhere are known; For this purpose, the sheet is completely ground before deep-drawing, whereupon the ground surface is covered with a plastic film and then the sheet is deep-drawn. The disadvantage here, however, is that such a sink lacks the smooth surface areas which are particularly advantageous for the visual impression of the new sink.
In view of the desire to be able to easily clean a sink according to the invention, embodiments are recommended in which the roughness measured in the longitudinal direction of the groove in the longitudinal direction of the groove is approximately 0.1 μm and is therefore of the order of magnitude of the roughness of the smooth surface areas.
In principle, the preferred direction of the grooves could extend in any direction of the sink; Both in terms of appearance and in terms of the desire to be able to clean the sink as easily as possible, embodiments are recommended in which the grooves extend in the longitudinal direction of the sink; This not only makes the tools required for the manufacture of the sinks easier to manufacture, but such sinks also look better and are easier to clean than sinks in which the grooves run in a different direction, e.g. B. transverse to the longitudinal direction of the sink - the natural cleaning movement also runs in the longitudinal direction of the sink.

This preferred embodiment of the built-in sink according to the invention is intended to be one which was produced from a cast resin mixed with fillers, and the fillers can be granular or fibrous fillers.
The
In Fig. 2 those surface areas were provided with a line structure which should have the groove structure of the invention. According to the invention, the
It has been shown that the desired effects can be achieved with a roughness depth of a little more than 0.1 μm (measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the groove), it being advantageous with regard to the appearance and the possibility of effective cleaning if these Roughness does not exceed a value of 0.4 µm. With regard to the appearance, the visibility of scratches and the like, and the possibility of effective cleaning, there are optimal conditions if the roughness depth measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the groove is approximately 0.2 μm.
The invention has a particularly advantageous effect in the case of built-in sinks which are produced from colored casting or molding compounds and have a high color saturation.
