Definitions

  • This date function can be simple, semi-perpetual, or perpetual. In the latter case, it is necessary to program in addition to the day, the month and the leap year. In addition, the date can be completed by displaying the moon phases.
  • the two mobiles consist of two coaxial hands of different length which cooperate with two concentric circular graduations inscribed on a dial.
  • Document CH-A-394 958 describes several embodiments of a watch of this kind.
  • the two mobiles are rings, one of which carries the tens figures and the other the units figures.
  • the date is visible through a window on the dial.
  • the present invention relates to a watch with a particularly legible display of the date, this display being able to be used momentarily for displaying the month or the hour over 24 hours.
  • This watch with date device comprising several display mobiles driven completely independently of each other by several stepping motors and electronic means arranged to display the date is characterized in that the date is displayed by means of two graduations placed on two separate dials, the ten being displayed on a first dial by a first of said display mobiles driven by a first motor, and the unit on a second dial by a second of said display mobiles driven by a second motor .
  • Figure 1 shows by way of example a watch according to the invention with display of the day and leap year.
  • FIG. 2 schematically shows, by way of example, part of the electronic means of a watch according to the invention.
  • FIG. 3 shows by way of example a watch according to the invention to which a display of the month and moon phases has been added.
  • FIG. 4 shows by way of example a particular combination of a display mobile where the needle has been replaced by a disc carrying a graduation.
  • FIG. 1 there is shown by way of example a watch comprising hour (1) and minute (2) hands, as well as two hands (3 and 4) working on two separate dials at 2 o'clock and at 10 hours for the display of additional functions.
  • These four needles are independent of each other and form as many display mobiles each driven through a train of cogs by their own stepping motor, the position of each of these needles being managed directly by the circuit. electronic.
  • the hand (3) which takes 24 steps per revolution, simultaneously displays the ten days and the leap year on a dial.
  • This dial carries a double graduation formed by 4 sectors numbered from 0 to 3 (6), each sector having an internal graduation of four positions (7).
  • the hand (3) therefore simultaneously indicates the ten days in the corresponding sector, ie 2 in the case of FIG. 1, and the leap year on the internal graduation of the sector.
  • the hand (4) indicates the unit of days on a scale from 0 to 9 (8).
  • Figure 1 shows the 23 th day of the month in a leap year. This particular arrangement of the day display on two display mobiles allows a particularly safe reading.
  • FIG. 2 schematically shows by way of example the electronic circuit which manages the position of the needle 3.
  • This circuit comprises a correspondence table (20) connected on the one hand to the tens of days counting circuit (21), and on the other hand the leap year counter (22). Each of these counters has four separate states, which represents 16 possible combinations.
  • the correspondence table (20) therefore fixes 16 positions of the needle (3) corresponding to these 16 possible combinations, each of these 16 positions corresponding to a particular position of the needle on the dial 5.
  • This correspondence table is connected to a positioning circuit (23) which manages the 24 possible positions of the needle (3) on the dial and delivers pulses to the motor (24) until the needle is in the position given by the correspondence table.
  • FIG. 3 there is shown by way of example a date device where the month is permanently displayed by an additional display mobile comprising the hand (30) working on a scale of 12 (31).
  • This arrangement makes it possible to simultaneously display all the parameters of a perpetual calendar, i.e. the unit of days using the hand (4), the ten days and the leap year by means of the needle (3), and the month by means of the needle (30).
  • a second parameter that is, in the example of FIG. 3, the moon phases on the element.
  • graphic (32) supposed to represent the sky.
  • FIG. 3 represents more particularly the case described in FIG. 2, that is the momentary display of the time over 24 hours during the time setting operations.
  • the time setting (11) is in the pulled position to allow the setting of the hands (1 and 2) by means of the pushers (9 and 10).
  • the hands (3 and 4) i.e. the tens to by means of the needle (3) and the units by means of the needle (4), so as to avoid having a 12-hour difference in time as the date passes, as frequently happens on conventional watches.
  • the hands (3 and 4) indicate 23 hours; it is therefore 11.40 p.m. and not 11.40 a.m.
  • FIG. 4 represents a particular combination of a display mobile according to the invention.
  • this term display mobile has been used rather than that of needle, because it is possible to replace the needle by other mobile systems, such as for example a graduated disc moving by compared to fixed graphic elements.
  • a graduated disc moving by compared to fixed graphic elements.
  • FIG. 4 we see such a disc (40) transparent and carrying a graduation from 1 to 12 (41) and a circle representing the moon (42).
  • This disc moves on a background decoration on a dark background comprising a light area (43).
  • the indications opposite the dark background are practically illegible, while the elements opposite the light background are perfectly legible. This method makes it possible to obtain interesting variants and to display the month, even the day, in pseudo-digital.
