Haben die Walzen genügend Staub aufgenommen, so wird das Drehkreuz um 90° gedreht und eine der Walzen wird in einer Sprüh- und Absaugvorrichtung von dem anhaftenden Schmutz gereinigt, während gleichzeitig eine neue gereinigte Walze in den Verlauf der Warenbahn eingeschwenkt ist. Die Reinigungsvorrichtung ist mit einer Traversier-Einrichtung zum Entstauben der Walzen über die Walzenbreite versehen. Die von einer (nicht dargestellten) Abwickelrolle über eine Umlenkwalze (6) ankommende Warenbahn (1) wird durch die erfindungsgemäße Reinigungsvorrichtung (5) sowie ausgezogen dargestellt in Pfeilrichtung geführt. Die Reinigungsvorrichtung besteht aus einem Drehteller, auf welchem an seinem Umfang jeweils um etwa 90° gegeneinander versetzt drehbar gelagerte Wickelrollen (2, 2', 3, 3') angeordnet sind. Die Bahn ist dergestalt eingefädelt, daß sie zunächst mit einer Seite über die erste Walze (2) läuft und anschließend durch das Zentrum der Dreheinrichtung auf die diametral (unter 180°) gegenüberliegende Walze (3') mit ihrer anderen Seite geführt wird und nachfolgend die Reinigungseinrichtung verläßt. Die Walzen (2, 2', 3, 3') sind, wie bereits gesagt, drehbar gelagert, wobei jeweils zwei nebeneinander um etwa 90° gegeneinander versetzte Walzen (2, 2') beziehungsweise (3, 3') durch einen Treibriemen (7), welcher über eine Riemenscheibe (8) läuft und über Achsen (11, 14) und ein Kupplungsdrucklager (10) mit der Reinigungswalze (2, 2', 3, 3') über ein Rutschkupplungslager (12) verbunden ist (Figur 2). Der Antrieb der Walzen geschieht vorzugsweise nicht motorisch, sondern durch die über Reibungskräfte von der bewegten Warenbahn auf die Antriebswalzen übertragbare Bewegungsenergie.
