Definitions
- the invention relates to a folding box for packing several elongated objects, such as ampoules, vials, vials or the like includes.
- the part of the blank which forms the insert is connected to a narrow side wall of the folding box, specifically via a fold line which extends between the two end faces of the sleeve.
- the folding into a box as well as the filling and closing can only be carried out on a specially designed device. Due to the design and the arrangement of the insert, this known folding box cannot be laid flat after being glued to the packaging manufacturer, stored and shipped in a flat state, and then cannot be set up, loaded and closed in the packaging operation on a conventional cartoning machine, as is the case with the majority of today usual folding boxes is handled.
- the folding box according to the invention with the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1 has the advantage that it is folded, glued and laid flat from the folding box manufacturer from a single blank, then shipped in stacks to the packer and stored and set up there on conventional cartoning machines with high performance, with the objects to be packed can be fitted and locked. Due to the separate production of the folding boxes in the carton operation and the other filling in the packaging operation, there is also the advantage that the dust development that occurs during folding does not represent a burden in the packaging operation, which is particularly important when packaging pharmaceuticals.
- a separate compartment for an instruction leaflet with usage information for example a leaflet or a brochure, is arranged in such a way that the objects and the instruction leaflet are clearly arranged when the folding box is open and can be removed separately without hindrance.
- the package insert immediately falls into the consumer's field of vision, is easy to remove and, after inspection, can be placed in the folding box with the other items just as easily and cannot be lost.
- FIG. 1 shows a folding box with an open top closure in a diagrammatic view
- FIG. 2 shows the folding box according to FIG. 1 in longitudinal section
- FIG. 3 shows a folding box modified in comparison with FIG. 1 in longitudinal section
- FIG. 4 shows a blank for the folding box according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in plan view.
- the cuboidal folding box which consists of a rigid packaging material, preferably cardboard, has a sleeve-shaped body 10 with two parallel broad side walls 11, 12 and two parallel narrow side walls 13, 14, one narrow side wall 14 with a hinged longitudinal adhesive tab 15 with the inside of one wide side wall 11 is glued.
- the bottom end face of the fuselage 10 is firmly closed by closure flaps 16, 17, 18, 19 hinged to the side walls 11 to 14, folded over in the end face and glued together.
- the head end face which forms a removal opening, is closed by two locking tabs 23, 24 on the narrow side walls 13, 14 and only a single wide locking tab 21 which is articulated on the wide side wall 11 and to which a plug-in tab 22 is connected via a fold line .
- the above-described, well-known folding box has an insert 30 in the form of a cavity wall or a frame for receiving and carrying the objects for packaging shock-sensitive objects, such as ampoules 1, vials, vials and the like.
- This insert 30 consists of two backdrop walls 31, 32, which are parallel and extend at certain intervals to the end faces of the fuselage 10 in the interior thereof.
- the backdrop walls 31, 32 which have aligned openings 33 for the positive reception of the objects, are fastened on the one hand with hinged foot strips 35, 36 by gluing to the inside of the other broad side wall 12 and, on the other hand, connected to one another via a web 38.
- the one foot strip 35 preferably adjoins the other broad side wall 12 in one piece via a fold line, so that the actual folding box and its insert 30 can be folded from a single blank.
- the insert 30 with the link walls 31, 32, the foot strips 35, 36 and the web 38 has a length which is slightly less than the width of the broad side wall 12 which supports it.
- the width of the foot strips 35, 36 is chosen such that the Opening front near footer 35 keeps a headroom free, which is larger than the footwell determined by the other footer 36.
- the width of the two link walls 31, 32 is a certain amount, for example 5 to 10 mm smaller than the width of the two narrow side walls 13, 14, so that the web 38 connecting the link walls 35, 36 is at a certain distance from the one Broad side wall 11 extends, a gap or a compartment 40 is formed between this broad side wall 11 and the web 38, in which a folded package insert 41 is inserted tangibly from the opening side.
- the folding box is equipped in such a way that several objects, such as ampoules 1, are inserted into the openings 33 in the link walls 35, 36, their head part, the spit 2, pointing freely towards the removal opening.
- the objects can be arranged next to one another in a single row (FIGS. 1 and 2).
- the backdrop walls 31, 32 can also have several, for example two rows of openings for receiving objects.
- Various objects such as ampoules 1 and vials 3 can also be packed in a folding box (FIG. 3).
- FIG. 3 When arranging Several rows of openings can be arranged one above the other and also offset from one another.
- the opening cross section of the openings is adapted to the cross section of the objects to be packaged, so that they are held immovably with a certain holding force.
- the cross section is shown as a circle, of course, the openings can also be formed as punched with notches, teeth or the like, or as free-punched foldable tongues.
- a tool such as a file 42 or a pipette, connected to the ampoules or vials is inserted in the head space of the folding box, which is separated from the opening-side link wall 31.
- a cover flap 25 is folded over and glued onto the flap 21 covering the removal opening, the hinged plug flap 22 of which engages inside the folding box.
- This closure flap 21 is articulated on the other broad side wall 12 and punched out of the one foot strip 35, which is connected in one piece to the other broad side wall 12.
- the blank for the folding box with the one-piece insert 30 can be punched out of a cardboard web without great waste if two blanks are punched out in the web direction with the insert part facing each other.
- the folding box described above is made as follows: In the blank shown in FIG. 4, the backdrop walls 31, 32, the foot strips 35, 36 and the web 38 forming the insert 30 are first folded into a frame and this is folded over and glued to the other broad side wall 12 as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 . The projecting transversely from the side wall 12 The backdrop walls 31, 32 and the web 38 are then folded against the wide foot strip 35 and laid flat on it. The folding box is then folded into a flat sleeve in the usual way and the longitudinal adhesive flap 15 is glued to the inside of one broad side wall 11. Folding boxes produced in this way are stacked in a large number and sent to the packaging company. If necessary, the folding boxes prepared in this way are placed in a cartoning machine in which they are erected, loaded and sealed as usual. When the insert 30 is erected into the intended position, an additional plunger can be arranged in the cartoning machine.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a folding box for packing several elongated objects, such as ampoules, vials, vials or the like includes. The part of the blank which forms the insert is connected to a narrow side wall of the folding box, specifically via a fold line which extends between the two end faces of the sleeve. The folding into a box as well as the filling and closing can only be carried out on a specially designed device.
The folding box according to the invention with the features specified in the characterizing part of
The measures listed in the subclaims make advantageous developments of the folding box specified in
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and will be described in more detail below. 1 shows a folding box with an open top closure in a diagrammatic view, FIG. 2 shows the folding box according to FIG. 1 in longitudinal section, FIG. 3 shows a folding box modified in comparison with FIG. 1 in longitudinal section, and FIG. 4 shows a blank for the folding box according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in plan view.
The cuboidal folding box, which consists of a rigid packaging material, preferably cardboard, has a sleeve-
The above-described, well-known folding box has an
The folding box is equipped in such a way that several objects, such as
In addition, a tool, such as a
To form a guarantee closure, a
As can be seen from FIG. 4, the blank for the folding box with the one-
The folding box described above is made as follows:
