Definitions
- the invention relates to a sliver separation, which is installed at the exit of a stretch of the textile industry for the separation of a supplied sliver.
- the sliver separation becomes necessary when the can has reached the filling level and has to be exchanged for an empty can.
- a secure separation of the sliver in preparation for the can change is the separation of the sliver below the turntable, i.e. the separation of the sliver between the mouth of the turntable and the can rack.
- this separation has the disadvantage that after the separation the remaining end of the strip hangs from the mouth of the turntable. There is a risk that the hanging end of the tape does not completely enter an empty jug. This can lead to tape storage problems.
- the solution according to DE-OS 38 07 239 places the separating device in the area between the belt funnel and the calender rolls.
- the solution was based on the assumption that the previous separation of the sliver was only carried out by briefly increasing the distance between the sliver funnel and the pair of calender rolls.
- the band funnel was used as a moving means.
- the disadvantage was that there was no second clamping of the sliver.
- DE-OS 38 07 239 eliminates this disadvantage by clamping the fiber sliver on the side of the sliver funnel and then only by changing the distance as a result of the moving movement of the sliver funnel the separation process he follows.
- the solution described has the disadvantage that this clamping device must also be included in the moving movement of the belt funnel.
- the solution also has the disadvantage that the tear-off point in the belt above the pair of calender rolls is variable, and that the end of the belt is released after the stop of the calendar rolls by their subsequent rotation or opening (additional effort) for the belt guide channel.
- CH-A-436 051 uses a separate clamping device between two sections of a tape guide channel.
- the sliver is separated above this clamping device, which is arranged between the two channels of the sliver guide. Accessibility by hand between the belt guide channel and the pair of calenders is impaired by a stationary head piece on the turntable.
- the solution also requires increased design effort, since a separate, additional clamping device for sliver and its holder is required.
- the can to be filled is under the turntable and the turntable is stopped.
- the sliver delivery on the line is stopped.
- a feature of the invention that is essential to the process is that, in preparation for the can change, the sliver is separated in the area between the pair of calender rollers and the band guide channel.
- a separation of the fiber sliver in this area has the advantage that the fiber sliver always has a constant length after the separation, regardless of the position of the closed turntable mouth. After ejection from the mouth of the band guide channel, it hangs down in a defined length on the edge of the can.
- One feature provides that the sliver is separated between a pair of calender rolls and a nip of the band guide channel. It is advantageous that the separate beginning of the tape can be positioned in the tape guide channel. A subsequent introduction of the beginning of the tape can be avoided.
- the sliver is separated with less effort, since previous work steps according to the state of the art (mobile movement of the sliver funnel, subsequent rotation of the calender rolls) are saved.
- a feature of the device is that a mechanical separating device is arranged between the pair of calender rolls and the belt guide channel.
- a mechanical separating device has a movable separating means which is guided transversely to the direction of transport of the sliver. Since the sliver is folded over on the opening edge of the tape guide channel and forms a clamping point, the clamping device can be dispensed with.
- forming a clamping point on the sliver guide channel can also be achieved by the feature of an arrangement of a pivotable wall section, a pivoting flap, in the opening area of the sliver guide channel.
- the swivel flap must be positioned in the direction of the transverse movement of the sliver by rotating the turntable.
- the transverse movement of the sliver is carried out by a movable release agent.
- the portable release means for example a swivel arm or pull arm with hook, guides the sliver onto the swivel flap.
- the lower section of the swivel flap swivels onto the inner wall of the band guide channel and forms a clamping point.
- the swivel flap swivels back into its starting position and thereby promotes the beginning of the sliver in the sliver guide channel.
- An external device for reinserting the beginning of the tape into the tape guide channel is advantageously omitted.
- the fiber sliver is conveyed through the pair of calender rollers 4 and conveyed into the belt guide channel 7.
- the belt guide channel 7 is part of the turntable 1, which rotates during the filling of the can.
- the turntable 1 is arranged inside the machine table 5.
- the sliver is ultimately deposited in the can 6, which is located below the turntable 1.
- a feature is that the sliver is mechanically separated in the area between the pair of calender rollers 4 and the belt guide channel 7 without a clamping device 3.
- the separating device 2 separates between the pair of calender rollers 4 and the belt guide channel 7, a clamping point A being formed at the opening edge of the belt guide channel 7 for the separating process.
- This clamping point A can be formed in any position of the turntable 1 that is shut down.
- the separating device 2 can, for example, have a separating means which consists of a pull arm 22 'with a hook 22. But it could also be used a swivel arm that swings across the sliver.
- the hook 22 is horizontally movable.
- the hook 22 When moving from its starting position, the hook 22 detects the fiber sliver FB. During this movement, the sliver FB is deflected. It is folded over on the opening edge of the belt guide channel 7 and forms a clamping point A. When the hook 22 is moved further into position P1, the sliver becomes between the pair of calender rollers 4 and the belt guide channel 7 separated.
- Figure 2 shows the deflected band beginning next to the opening edge of the band guide channel 7 after the separation.
- FIG. 3 shows that the hook 22 has been returned to the starting position and the nozzle 100 is blowing with air at this point in time, so that the beginning of the sliver is positioned in the band guide channel 7.
- the blowing of the nozzle 100 is stopped again.
- the nozzle 100 is supplied with air via the feed line 101, the pneumatics and their control not being shown.
- FIG. 5 Another feature of the separation of the sliver FB in the area between the pair of calender rollers 4 and the sliver guide channel 7 is shown in FIG. 5 in conjunction with FIG. 4.
- a sliver guide channel 7 according to FIG. FIG. 4 shows, without a turntable 1, the opening area of the band guide channel 7, into which the fiber band is conveyed.
- This opening area of the band guide channel 7 has a pivotable wall section, a pivoting flap 102.
- the pivoting flap 102 is mounted in the bearings 103 and 104.
- the pivoting flap 102 can be pivoted about the bearings 103, 104.
- the swivel flap 102 forms an elongated, for example rectangular, wall section, one narrow side of which closes with the opening edge.
- the bearings 103, 104 are offset somewhat from the central axis M of the swivel flap 102 in the direction of the opening.
- the separating device 2 has, for example, a pull arm 22 'with a hook 22 as a separating means.
- the hook 22 with the pull arm 22 ' is located outside the transport direction of the fiber sliver FB.
- the fiber sliver FB is stopped.
- the hook 22 is moved transversely to the direction of transport of the sliver FB.
- the hook 22 detects the sliver FB and directs it out of the transport direction.
- the turntable 1 with the band guide channel 7 and its swivel flap 102 are positioned by controlling the drive (not shown here) which, when the hook 22 moves, always guides the fiber sliver FB onto the swivel flap.
- the swivel flap 102 swivels back into the original position according to FIG. 4 due to the center of gravity.
- This feature forms a very secure clamping point on the tape guide channel without the need for an external, feedable clamping device.
- the beginning of the strip which hangs from the pair of calender rolls 4 and is deflected, is fed back into the strip guide channel. The return takes place through the swivel flap 102. The beginning of the band therefore does not have to be inserted into the band guide channel subsequently.

Description
The invention relates to a sliver separation, which is installed at the exit of a stretch of the textile industry for the separation of a supplied sliver. The sliver separation becomes necessary when the can has reached the filling level and has to be exchanged for an empty can.
According to the prior art, a secure separation of the sliver in preparation for the can change is the separation of the sliver below the turntable, i.e. the separation of the sliver between the mouth of the turntable and the can rack. However, this separation has the disadvantage that after the separation the remaining end of the strip hangs from the mouth of the turntable. There is a risk that the hanging end of the tape does not completely enter an empty jug. This can lead to tape storage problems.
The solution according to DE-OS 38 07 239 places the separating device in the area between the belt funnel and the calender rolls.
The solution was based on the assumption that the previous separation of the sliver was only carried out by briefly increasing the distance between the sliver funnel and the pair of calender rolls. The band funnel was used as a moving means. The disadvantage was that there was no second clamping of the sliver. DE-OS 38 07 239 eliminates this disadvantage by clamping the fiber sliver on the side of the sliver funnel and then only by changing the distance as a result of the moving movement of the sliver funnel the separation process he follows. After the sliver has been torn off, the distance between the sliver funnel and the pair of calender rolls is reduced again to the original distance.
The solution described has the disadvantage that this clamping device must also be included in the moving movement of the belt funnel.
The solution also has the disadvantage that the tear-off point in the belt above the pair of calender rolls is variable, and that the end of the belt is released after the stop of the calendar rolls by their subsequent rotation or opening (additional effort) for the belt guide channel.
The sliver is separated above this clamping device, which is arranged between the two channels of the sliver guide. Accessibility by hand between the belt guide channel and the pair of calenders is impaired by a stationary head piece on the turntable. The solution also requires increased design effort, since a separate, additional clamping device for sliver and its holder is required.
When changing cans on a line, it is the object of the invention to avoid the disadvantages of the prior art with less effort for sliver separation and that a defined strip length to the can is achieved with the separation.
In preparation for the can change, the can to be filled is under the turntable and the turntable is stopped. The sliver delivery on the line is stopped.
A feature of the invention that is essential to the process is that, in preparation for the can change, the sliver is separated in the area between the pair of calender rollers and the band guide channel.
A separation of the fiber sliver in this area has the advantage that the fiber sliver always has a constant length after the separation, regardless of the position of the closed turntable mouth. After ejection from the mouth of the band guide channel, it hangs down in a defined length on the edge of the can.
One feature provides that the sliver is separated between a pair of calender rolls and a nip of the band guide channel. It is advantageous that the separate beginning of the tape can be positioned in the tape guide channel. A subsequent introduction of the beginning of the tape can be avoided.
The sliver is separated with less effort, since previous work steps according to the state of the art (mobile movement of the sliver funnel, subsequent rotation of the calender rolls) are saved.
A feature of the device is that a mechanical separating device is arranged between the pair of calender rolls and the belt guide channel.
Another feature of the device is that a mechanical separating device has a movable separating means which is guided transversely to the direction of transport of the sliver. Since the sliver is folded over on the opening edge of the tape guide channel and forms a clamping point, the clamping device can be dispensed with.
When separating the fiber sliver, forming a clamping point on the sliver guide channel can also be achieved by the feature of an arrangement of a pivotable wall section, a pivoting flap, in the opening area of the sliver guide channel. The swivel flap must be positioned in the direction of the transverse movement of the sliver by rotating the turntable. The transverse movement of the sliver is carried out by a movable release agent. The portable release means, for example a swivel arm or pull arm with hook, guides the sliver onto the swivel flap. When the sliver strikes the swivel flap, the lower section of the swivel flap swivels onto the inner wall of the band guide channel and forms a clamping point. After the sliver has been separated, the swivel flap swivels back into its starting position and thereby promotes the beginning of the sliver in the sliver guide channel. An external device for reinserting the beginning of the tape into the tape guide channel is advantageously omitted.

As FIG. 1 shows, the fiber sliver is conveyed through the pair of calender rollers 4 and conveyed into the
A feature is that the sliver is mechanically separated in the area between the pair of calender rollers 4 and the

Another feature of the separation of the sliver FB in the area between the pair of calender rollers 4 and the
According to FIG. 5, the
