- Snowshoes have been known for many years because they have been used for centuries by the Scandinavian populations to travel on snow. Until today, snowshoes were used for utility or military purposes to allow the populations and the Alpine troops to move on snow for their displacements necessary for the daily life. Currently, snowshoes are rather used by sportsmen who go for hikes and walks, or even competitions. But the sportsmen, although practicing for their pleasure, are more and more demanding for the material which they use, and it is true that the products currently sold do not give full satisfaction, and in particular during the progression on packed snow, hard or icy, as well as on a side course on a slope.

Claims (8)
- Schneeschuh mit einer generellen Symmetrieebene (P), umfassend ein Sieb (4), welches eine Befestigung (5) trägt, die am oberen Ende einer Halterung (18) drehbar um eine Querachse (XX) angeordnet und zum Halten eines Schuhes (6) eines Benutzers bestimmt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Befestigung (5) so mit dem Sieb (4) verbunden ist, daß man sie merklich seitwärts um eine Längsachse (YY') drehen kann.
- Schneeschuh nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Halterung (18) ein Stützrahmen ist, deren zwei Seitenwände (19, 20), so ausgebildet sind, daß ihre unteren Kanten unter der unteren Oberfläche (9, P1) des Schuhs hervorspringen.
