Description

The invention relates to a lamp for ovens according to the preamble of claim 1.

In known lamps of this type (DE-41 21 886 A1 or EP-A-0 521 248), a lamp holder with lamp is arranged within a lamp housing forming a reflector, the lamp chamber being closed off from the interior of the oven by a cover having a glass plate , which is supported on an edge flange of the lamp housing with the interposition of an elastic seal, especially a silicone seal. This sealing element is intended to prevent vapors from entering the lamp when the oven is in operation. However, there is the difficulty that at an elevated oven temperature, e.g. in the case of pyrolytic self-cleaning while the interior of the oven is heated to almost 100 ° C., the sealing element does not withstand this temperature and is destroyed.

The invention has for its object to provide the lamp with such a cover that the vapor tightness of the lamp is maintained even under the influence of extremely high temperatures and the destruction of a sealing element is not to be feared.

From DE-U-79 15 273 a non-positively inserted annular metal seal is known. This can be lost when the lamp is replaced.

This problem is solved according to the invention by the measures listed in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the following patent claims.

The fact that sealing elements designed as metallic spring cheeks are used according to the invention means that there is in no way a fear of damaging the vapor tightness due to extreme temperature effects. These special sealing elements are a firm, captive part of the cover, which can be easily removed from the luminaire housing without the use of a tool. These spring cheeks are preferably part of a metallic frame, which in turn forms locking elements for locking the cover on the lamp housing. Overall, according to the invention there is a luminaire which is both vapor-tight and extremely high temperatures e.g. can withstand temperatures.

The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.

The luminaire shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has, as a basic element, an elongated luminaire housing 1, which moves a luminaire chamber 2, for example made of aluminum material Existing, to one side curved wall 3 inside the lamp chamber 2 serves a reflector for light rays coming from a lamp 4, preferably from a high-voltage halogen lamp. The luminaire housing 1 has a circumferential flange 5 (FIG. 3) which is a direct component of the wall 3 and which moves around a rectangular, elongated luminaire opening 6. In a side wall 7 of the lamp housing 1 provided with a corresponding opening, a lamp socket, generally designated 8, is fastened with electrical connection elements 9, on the contact elements (not shown) of which the lamp 4 is plugged inside the lamp chamber 2. The lamp is inserted with its peripheral flange 5 in an opening 10, for example the side wall 11 of an oven muffle, not shown, such that the lamp opening 6 faces the interior 12 of the oven and the lamp housing 1 is outside the oven muffle. It is not shown in the figures that the inner circumferential flange 5 is connected to the wall 11 of the oven, for example, in that the lamp housing 1 has resilient cramps at a distance from the circumferential flange 5, which when the lamp housing 1 is pressed into the opening 10 with the Lock the opening edge. In a manner also not shown, the oven can be set up for a so-called pyrolytic self-cleaning using electrical heating elements, by means of which heating of the interior of the oven to a temperature of almost 500 ° C. is made possible when the oven door is closed. In general, 13 denotes a cover of the lamp, which can be pressed onto the lamp opening 6 and locked with the lamp housing 1. This cover 13 can also be removed by the layperson by hand, for example to replace the lamp 4 which has become defective. The cover 13, which is illustrated as a detail in FIG. 3, consists of a slightly bent at the edge of the glass plate 14, which is firmly connected to a frame 15 made of metallic spring material, which moves around the inside of the glass plate 14 facing the lamp housing 1 in the region of the offset 16 and by means of U-shaped lugs 17 two opposite edge edges 18 of the glass plate 14 engages and is thus firmly and captively connected to this glass plate 14. The aforementioned frame 15 has at the height of the rectangular lamp opening 6 cantilevered, bent towards the lamp housing 1 and at the ends curved spring cheeks 19, which are sections at right angles to each other and are separated from one another in the corners by slots 20. In the area of these spring cheeks 19, the metallic frame 15 also has, on opposite sides, one-piece cut and shaped, resilient locking elements 21, which are essentially S-shaped and cantilevered, as shown in FIG. 3 and which interact with counter-locking elements 22 in the form of provided in the wall 3 of the lamp housing 1 locking openings. Furthermore, resilient centering elements 21 'are provided as components of the frame 15, preferably on all four sides of the frame 15. When the cover 13 is pressed onto the lamp opening 6, the metallic spring cheeks 19 are resiliently supported on the peripheral flange 5 of the lamp housing 1, that these spring cheeks 19 form a sealing element between cover 13 and lamp housing 1. The cover 13 is centered in position by the centering elements 21 'relative to the lamp opening 6. Immediately afterwards, the latching elements 21 of the frame 15 latch in the counter latching elements 22, so that a stable but nevertheless easily detachable fastening of the cover 13 is produced.
