Abstract

The vacuum cleaner nozzle of the invention has a nozzle body (1) with a suction-pipe connection and a baseplate (2) which closes off the nozzle body at the bottom, the baseplate having at least one flow channel (3, 4) which is open at the bottom and leads into a central suction channel (5) connected to the suction-pipe connection, and sealing or closing-off elements which surround the flow channel at least in certain regions. The nozzle body and the baseplate are designed here as an integral carrier, into which the flow channel or the flow channels and the suction channel are directly moulded. The sealing or closing-off elements in the form of bristle strips (17, 18) and/or sealing lips (13, 14) are directly moulded and/or pressed, injected or adhesively bonded into the baseplate. By virtue of this design, the number of components of the vacuum cleaner nozzle is reduced substantially, thereby resulting in a significant simplification with regard to production and assembly. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Vacuum cleaner nozzles of the type in question are usually designed in several parts. The nozzle body itself is regularly designed as a plastic housing and, in addition to its function as a component with a flow, serves as a carrier for all functional units of the nozzle. The nozzle housing is turned down, i.e. closed towards the floor to be vacuumed by a sliding sole made of sheet steel, in which flow channels are formed to achieve an optimal suction effect and an optimal transport of dirt particles. The flow channels are surrounded by bead-like suction tear-off edges to achieve optimal dust absorption. Furthermore, a bristle carrier plate is usually arranged in the area of the sliding sole, which can be switched to different positions for different floor coverings by means of treads mounted and arranged in the housing.

With regard to their functionality, these known nozzles show quite satisfactory usage properties. However, it is a disadvantage of these known nozzles that the combination of a relatively large number of components and functional units requires a relatively large amount of production and, in particular, assembly. This is particularly important because it is a generic Vacuum cleaner nozzle is a product of industrial mass production, where the unit cost is of crucial importance.

Based on this prior art, it is the object of the present invention to provide a vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the preamble of claim 1, in which the manufacturing and assembly work is reduced while the properties of use remain essentially the same.

This object is achieved by a vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the teaching of claim 1.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

According to the invention, the vacuum cleaner nozzle has a nozzle body and a base plate that closes the nozzle body downward. The base plate serves as a slide plate, the term “slide plate” in the sense of the present invention also including a design in which the plate is provided with rolling elements, in particular rollers or wheels, for better guidance. In contrast to the known vacuum cleaner nozzles, in which the nozzle body and the slide plate are designed as separate components, according to the invention the nozzle body and the base plate are designed as a one-piece carrier. Such a carrier preferably consists of plastic and is produced in particular by injection molding or compression molding.

The central suction channel and at least one flow channel for distributing the suction power and for better removal of the dirt particles are formed directly in the manufacture of the carrier in the base plate and thus in the one-piece carrier. The flow channel is open at the bottom, ie towards the floor to be sucked. The flow channel opens into the suction channel, which in turn is connected in a flow-permeable manner to an intake manifold connection piece.

Furthermore, according to the invention, sealing or sealing elements are used in the base plate of the carrier, which serve on the one hand to maintain a more or less precisely defined distance of the base plate from the floor to be sucked and on the other hand to at least partially seal off the floor area to be sucked and / or pressed, injected or glued. Preferably, these sealing elements can be inserted into the injection mold during the manufacture of the carrier and overmolded when the mold is filled.

The one-piece design of the nozzle carrier and base plate, the essential functional units such as the flow channel, suction channel and sealing or closing elements surrounding the flow channel being an integral part of the carrier, decisively reduces the number of separate components, thereby reducing the manufacturing effort and in particular the assembly effort diminished in a cost-effective manner.

In order to distribute the suction power of the vacuum cleaner nozzle over the entire width of the nozzle, according to one embodiment of the invention, the flow channels opening into the suction channel are arranged essentially parallel to the front and / or rear edge of the carrier or the base plate and axially outwards, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the flow channels, open. In order to also distribute the suction power as evenly as possible over the length of the channels, the flow channels are preferably double parabolic, i.e. parabolic in cross-section as well as in longitudinal section, related to the longitudinal axis of the flow channels, whereby a parabolic profile with two parabolic branches open at the bottom is formed in cross-section, while in longitudinal section there is a parabolic narrowing section away from the suction channel, whereby only one Parabolic load, which essentially corresponds to the bottom of the flow channels, is present.

In principle, the vacuum cleaner nozzle of the invention can be used in a manner known per se as a pure sliding nozzle, ie without roller elements, be trained. In particular, however, if the carrier and thus the base plate are made of plastic, which has the disadvantage of being more susceptible to wear than a metal version, the vacuum cleaner nozzle in the region of the base plate is provided with at least two front rollers which are arranged in the flow channel in the region of the axially outer ends that they essentially close off the flow channels to the outside. Each of the rollers is preferably mounted in the flow channel via two elastically deformable steering knuckles, each of these steering knuckles either being integrally formed in the bottom of the flow channel or fastened there, in particular being latched in the manner of a snap connection. Due to the elastic deformability of the steering knuckles, they deflect laterally if, for example, the user of the vacuum cleaner nozzle inadvertently steps on the carrier. This significantly reduces the risk of breakage and damage to the roll holder. In this configuration, the diameters of the rollers are preferably chosen to be at least slightly greater than the depth of the flow channels in this area. This results in an elastic deformation or an elastic lateral deflection of the steering knuckle in the event of an unintentional load, a positive and non-positive connection directly between the bottom of the flow channels and thus the carrier, the rollers and the floor, the base plate and thus also under this load the particularly sensitive edges of the flow channels maintain a sufficient safety distance from the ground, which reliably prevents damage to the edges.

Preferably, the front and / or rear edges of the flow channels, in relation to a direction transverse to their longitudinal axis, are designed at least in regions as suction or flow separation edges in order to increase the suction power of the nozzle. These suction or flow separation edges can be formed, for example, in that the edges themselves protrude in a bead-like manner from the plane of the base plate. Preferably, however, the flow separation edges are formed in that the surface area in front of the front flow channel edge and / or the surface area behind the rear flow channel edge is at least slightly inclined with respect to the horizontal or the plane of the base plate, the inclination being selected such that the flow channel edge is given an at least slightly wedge-shaped profile.

To improve the cleaning properties of the vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the invention, strip or band-shaped thread lifters are arranged on the base plate immediately in front of and / or behind the suction channel in a manner known per se. These thread lifters are either directly molded, in particular injected, during the manufacture of the carrier, or glued, pressed or welded onto the carrier or into corresponding recesses provided in the carrier.

The vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the invention has a suction pipe connection piece for connecting the suction pipe of a vacuum cleaner. This intake manifold connection piece can also be integrally formed on the carrier in the region of the suction channel, which results in a further reduction in the parts. Preferably, however, the suction pipe connection piece is designed as a joint piece, which can be fastened with its first end at the outlet of the suction channel and with its second end to the suction pipe of a vacuum cleaner, in particular releasably latched in the manner of a snap connection.

The sealing or closing elements, which at least partially surround the flow channels, preferably consist of a bristle ring and / or sealing lips, in particular sealing lips made of an elastomer material, depending on the intended use. Sealing lips are used in particular when the nozzle is to be used for smooth floors or for wet vacuuming.

In order to further improve the manageability of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, according to a further exemplary embodiment of the invention, at least one rear roller can be arranged on the carrier in the region of the end of the suction channel on the suction pipe side. This rear roller can be the only roller or can be used in conjunction with the front rollers described above.

In Fig. 1 an embodiment of a vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the invention is shown in perspective view. The vacuum cleaner nozzle has a nozzle body 1, on which a base plate 2 is integrally formed, as a result of which an integral carrier is formed overall. Flow channels 3 and 4 and a suction channel 5 are molded into the carrier. The suction channel is arranged essentially centrally, based on the width of the nozzle, and opens into flow channels 3 and 4 on the one hand and into a suction pipe connection piece 6, which is designed as a joint piece is.

As can be seen in particular from the illustration according to FIG. 3, the intake manifold connection piece consists of a nozzle-side joint part 7 which is articulated in a correspondingly designed opening of the carrier leading to the suction channel 5 such that the joint part 7 can be pivoted about the axis 8, and a joint part 9 on the intake manifold side, which is pivoted on the joint part 7.

In the area of the end of the suction channel 5 on the suction tube side, two rear rollers 10 are arranged on a carrier on a common axis in order to improve the manageability of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.

In Fig. 2, the vacuum cleaner nozzle according to FIG. 1 is shown in a view from below. It can be seen from the illustration that the flow channels 3 and 4 are essentially parallel to the front or rear edge of the base plate, i.e. run perpendicular to section line A-A. The flow channels 3 and 4 are designed to be axially open to the outside, a front roller 11 being arranged in the axially outermost region. In the axially inner region, both flow channels open into the suction channel 5. Each roller 11 is mounted on two steering knuckles 12, which are engaged in corresponding recesses in the base of the flow channels 3 and 4. The steering knuckle 12 are made of an elastically resilient material. The diameter, i.e. more precisely, the maximum mean diameter of the rollers 11 is chosen to be at least slightly larger than the depth of the flow channels 3 and 4 in this area. In other words, if the operator of the vacuum cleaner nozzle unintentionally steps on the carrier from above, the steering knuckles 12 move sideways until the rollers 12 come to rest on the bottom of the flow channels 3 and 4. This results in a frictional connection between the bottom of the flow channels, the roller and the floor, with a safety distance remaining under all circumstances between the bottom of the sliding sole or the lower surface of the base plate 2 and the floor. This reliably prevents damage to the edges of the flow channels 3 and 4.

As can also be seen from the illustration in FIG. 2, 2 sealing or closing elements in the form of elastomer sealing lips 13 and 14 are arranged in the base plate. The sealing lips 13, 14 extend essentially over the entire width of the vacuum cleaner nozzle and enclose the flow channels 3 and 4 between them at a distance. As can be seen from the illustration according to FIG. 3, the sealing lips are inserted as separately prefabricated sealing strips in corresponding groove-like recesses 15 and 16 of the base plate 2 and fastened there by ultrasonic welding or gluing.

To improve the cleaning effect of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, a thread lifter strip 17 and 18 are arranged in the base area of the base plate 2 in front of and behind the opening of the suction channel 5. These thread lifter strips 17 and 18 consist in a manner known per se of a pile-like textile material, the pile of which points in the direction of the opening of the suction channel 5. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the thread lifters are glued into depressions in the base plate 2.

The flow channels 3 and 4 have a double parabolic profile in the embodiment shown. 3, the flow channel 4 (this also applies in an identical manner to the flow channel 3) is designed in a parabolic cross-section such that the bottom of the flow channel 4 is the apex of the parabola and the downward Bottom-facing wall areas that form parabolic branches. Similarly, the longitudinal section through the flow channel 4 in a plane that runs essentially perpendicular to the plane of the base plate 2 and through the apex or bottom of the flow channel 4 defines a parabolic profile that widens axially from the outside in the direction of the suction channel 5. However, in this exemplary embodiment, only a parabolic load is realized by the bottom of the flow channel 4, since the flow channel 4 is diametrically opposite, ie down, is open.

The front edges 19 and the rear edges 20 of the flow channels 3 and 4 are designed as flow separation or flow guide edges. For this purpose, the surface areas of the base plate 2 lying behind the edges 20 and the surface areas of the base plate 2 lying in front of the edges 19 are inclined upward from the edges 19 and 20 by a few angular degrees relative to the base plate plane or horizontal plane, in a manner not evident from the figures, which results in a slightly wedge-shaped flow separation edge shape.
