Definitions
- the present invention relates to a double-faced circular knitted fabric with two outer knitted webs and an intermediate spacing structure, preferably for upholstery and cladding purposes, with a particularly advantageous combination of recess behavior, textile surface grip and formability.
- the spacing structure consists of web-connecting stitches made of monofilament elastic threads, which are alternately meshed with a knitted web.
- the monofilaments that form the stitches connecting the web surfaces and thus function as spacer threads should have a thickness of 0.08 to 0.14 mm at a web spacing of approximately 7 mm.
- the springback of the upper knitted web is formed by spacer tapes made of plastic film divided into strips with a thickness of approximately 0.1 mm and a width of 1-3 mm.
- These spacer tapes should preferably be made from polypropylene.
- the knitted spacer fabric described below can substantially improve the deformability, the feel of the textile surface and at the same time simplify and reduce the cost of production and facilitate disposal by recycling.
- the present invention thus relates to a double-faced circular knitted fabric with two concentric knitted webs and an intermediate spacing structure, which is characterized in that it has, as spacer threads, optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns, optionally in combination with monofilaments, that the distance between the two knitted webs is 0.3 to 8 mm is that the mesh density corresponds to a machine pitch from E 16 to E 32 and that the density of the spacer threads is between 150 and 250 threads per cm2.
- the optionally textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarns contained in the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention have a yarn titer of 50 to 250 dtex, preferably from 100 to 200 dtex and a single titer of 5 to 100 dtex, preferably from 10 to 20 dtex.
- the monofilaments contained in the double-faced circular knitwear have a titer of 20 to 150 dtex, preferably 70 to 110 dtex.
- All yarns for the double-layer circular knitwear preferably consist of the same polymer material.
- the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention optionally contains textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn as spacer threads and, if appropriate, combined with these, monofilaments.
- the spacer construction can thus only have coarse-fibril multifilament yarn, in particular textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarn, or, which has certain advantages described below, a proportion of monofilaments side by side.
- the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention preferably has a right-left stitch structure.
- the right-left mesh structure also includes their variants, such as plated, openwork, ribbed, offset, wave, catch, pimple and jacquard patterns.
- a preferred double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention has a basis weight of 150 to 1400 g / m2, preferably 200 to 500 g / m2, and the vertical distance between its two knitted webs is 0.3 to 8 mm, preferably 4 to 6 mm. Furthermore, a double-surface circular knitted fabric according to the invention is preferred, in which the knitted webs have a mesh density which corresponds to a machine division of E 18 to E 20.
- a particularly advantageous combination of rebound behavior and textile surface feel and formability results if 50 to 80% by weight, preferably 60 to 70% by weight of the spacer threads, if appropriate textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns and accordingly 20 to 50% by weight, preferably 30 to 40% by weight are monofilaments.
- the arrangement of the optionally textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarns and the monofilaments in the spacing structure can be done in different ways. It is important that the monofilaments and any textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns are statistically evenly mixed and distributed over the area of the spacer fabric.
- An expedient arrangement possibility is that the monofilaments and the possibly textured yarns are integrated or meshed next to each other in each row in the spacing structure.
- Another useful arrangement possibility is that the optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns and the monofilaments follow one another alternately in the spacing structure.
- the spacer construction has a total thread density of 150 to 250, preferably 180 to 200 spacer threads per cm2.
- the monofilaments used as spacer threads expediently have a titer of 20 to 150 dtex, preferably from 70 to 110 dtex
- the optionally textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarns used as spacer threads expediently have a yarn titer of 50 to 250 dtex, preferably from 100 to 200 dtex and a single titer of 5 to 100 dtex, preferably from 10 to 20 dtex.
- Textured multifilament yarns that serve as spacer threads are air or false wire textured.
- FIGS 1 to 3 illustrate schematically and by way of example two embodiments of the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically a cylindrical double-layer circular knitted fabric with the two concentrically located knitted webs (1) and (1 ') and the spacer threads (2) connecting them and indicated as a zigzag line.
- FIG. 2 shows a section of a double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention in an oblique view with the two outer knitted webs (1) and (1 '), the direction lines (12) and (12') shown in dotted lines on these, which indicate the position of the wales, and the spacer threads made of monofilaments (3) and textured multifilament yarns (4) running back and forth between the knitted webs (1) and (1 ').
- the monofilaments and the textured multifilament yarns are bound or meshed next to each other in each row.
- FIG. 3 shows a section of a double-layer circular knitted fabric according to the invention in an oblique view with the two outer knitted webs (1) and (1 '), the direction lines (12) and (12') drawn in dotted lines on these, which indicate the position of the wales, and the spacer threads made of monofilaments (3) and textured multifilament yarns (4) running back and forth between the knitted webs (1) and (1 '), as well as the spacer threads (5), which are fully drawn for clarification, and which extend between adjacent wales.
- the monofilaments and the textured multifilament yarns are alternately bound or meshed in the knitting in each stitch direction and there is a transverse stabilization by the threads changing the wales (5).
- the yarns of the two knitted fabrics and the monofilaments and, if necessary, textured Spacing construction yarns preferably consist of polyesters or polyolefins.
- polyester material In principle, all known types suitable for fiber production can be considered as polyester material.
- Such polyesters consist predominantly of building blocks which are derived from aromatic dicarboxylic acids and from aliphatic diols.
- Common aromatic dicarboxylic acid building blocks are the divalent residues of benzenedicarboxylic acids, especially terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid;
- Common diols have 2-4 carbon atoms, with ethylene glycol being particularly suitable.
- Modified polyesters preferably contain at least 85 mol% of ethylene terephthalate units. The remaining 15 mol% then build up from dicarboxylic acid units and glycol units, which act as so-called modifying agents and which allow the person skilled in the art to specifically influence the physical and chemical properties of the filaments produced.
- dicarboxylic acid units are residues of isophthalic acid or of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid such as e.g. Glutaric acid, adipic acid, sebacic acid;
- modifying diol residues are those of longer-chain diols, e.g. of propanediol or butanediol, of di- or tri-ethylene glycol or, if present in small quantities, of polyglycol with a molecular weight of approximately 500-2000.
- Particularly preferred are polyesters which contain at least 95 mol% of ethylene terephthalate units, especially those made from unmodified PET.
- the spacer fabrics according to the invention made from such polyesters, in particular from polyethylene terephthalate, are not easily ignited.
- the flame retardant effect can be further enhanced by using flame retardant modified polyesters.
- flame-retardant modified polyesters are known. They contain additions of halogen compounds, in particular bromine compounds, or, which is particularly advantageous, they contain phosphorus compounds which are condensed into the polyester chain.
- flame-retardant spacer fabrics according to the invention contain monofilaments and yarns made of polyester, which in the chain are components of the formula wherein R is alkylene or polymethylene with 2 to 6 C atoms or phenyl and R1 is alkyl with 1 to 6 C atoms, aryl or aralkyl, contained in condensed form.
- R is alkylene or polymethylene with 2 to 6 C atoms or phenyl and R1 is alkyl with 1 to 6 C atoms, aryl or aralkyl, contained in condensed form.
- ethylene and R 1 are preferably methyl, ethyl, phenyl, or o-, m- or p-methylphenyl, in particular methyl.
- polyesters contained in the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention expediently have a molecular weight corresponding to an intrinsic viscosity (IV), measured in a solution of 1 g of polymer in 100 ml of dichloroacetic acid at 25 ° C., from 0.5 to 1.4.
- IV intrinsic viscosity
- Substituted polyolefins are also suitable as polyolefins from which the yarns of the double-layer circular knitted fabric according to the invention can be made.
- Examples of such polyolefin materials are polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride and polyacrylonitrile.
- Preferred polyolefin yarns are made of polypropylene.
- “Circular knitwear” within the meaning of this invention is of course also to be understood as broad knitted tubes and such other knitted fabrics whose construction resembles a knitted fabric, such as Round knitted fabrics.
- Another object of the present invention is a method for producing the double-surface circular knitwear described above, in which a double-surface circular knitwear is produced on the two needle contours of the cylinder and the dial of a circular knitting machine, in which the spacer threads alternately run back and forth between the two knitted webs and in each web can be integrated or meshed, which is characterized in that on the corresponding knitting systems the needles as spacer thread either textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns or optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns are alternately fed with monofilaments.
- FIGS. 4a and 4b illustrate, by way of example, the steps in the production of a double-layer circular knitted fabric according to the invention.
- the five groups (1; 2; 3; 4; 5) of short vertical lines (6; 7) lying one below the other in the figures symbolize the needles of five systems of the knitting machine, the one above the horizontal line Line group (6) the rib needles, the line group (7) below the horizontal line represent the cylinder needles.
- the lines (8; 9) leading from needle to needle symbolize the thread path, a simple deflection (10) of the thread path on the needle means the thread in question, a loop (11) on the needle means a mesh.
- the lines (8) in this illustration are intended to run the spacer thread on the systems 1 and 5, the lines (9) the course of the threads for the back of the goods on system 2 and the front of the goods on systems 3 and 4, on which a jacquard control of Needles, show.
- the spacer thread on the fifth system is offset by a needle compared to the first system.
- textured yarns When using coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn as spacer threads, it is preferred to use textured yarns. They can be air or false wire textured.
- the needles are preferably controlled so that a right-left structure is knitted in each of the tracks.
- the yarn is fed in such a way that 50 to 80% by weight, preferably 60 to 70% by weight, of the spacer threads optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn and accordingly 20 to 50% by weight. %, preferably 30 to 40% by weight, are monofilaments.
- a special stabilization against lateral displacement and collapse of the two knitted fabrics results if the binding is controlled in such a way that spacer threads made of monofilaments and possibly textured multifilaments alternate between the stitch chains lying in the longitudinal direction.
- the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention has a very good deformability, a pleasant feel of the textile surface and can be disposed of by recycling, in particular if all fiber materials consist of the same polymer material, without any problems. It can therefore be used with particular advantage for upholstering and cladding interiors, such as car interior linings or, especially if a flame-retardant modified polyester is used to manufacture the multifilament yarns and monofilaments, from airframes, express train compartments or public facilities.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a double-faced circular knitted fabric with two outer knitted webs and an intermediate spacing structure, preferably for upholstery and cladding purposes, with a particularly advantageous combination of recess behavior, textile surface grip and formability.
From the German utility model G 90 16 062 it is known to use a textile spacer fabric for the upholstery of seating furniture and clothing, and as a base for sick beds, which has improved dimensional stability and permanent return properties. This goal is achieved there in that the spacing structure consists of web-connecting stitches made of monofilament elastic threads, which are alternately meshed with a knitted web. The monofilaments that form the stitches connecting the web surfaces and thus function as spacer threads should have a thickness of 0.08 to 0.14 mm at a web spacing of approximately 7 mm.
Even with the double-surface warp knitted fabric known from DE-C-28 51 348, it was important to create a resiliently soft surface suitable for bed pads. This object was achieved in such a way that the springback of the upper knitted web is formed by spacer tapes made of plastic film divided into strips with a thickness of approximately 0.1 mm and a width of 1-3 mm. These spacer tapes should preferably be made from polypropylene.
However, the known constructions still have shortcomings that prevent them from being used on an enlarged scale.
One factor that is becoming increasingly important is the need to properly dispose of used materials. The use of different basic materials for the yarns of the knitted fabrics and for the spacing structure in known double-faced textile materials, for example polyamide yarns for the knitted fabric and polypropylene spacers, is a considerable disadvantage for the disposal of these materials.
Another limiting factor is the need to use foil tapes or monofilaments for the spacers. These materials are not manufactured to such a large extent as textile synthetic fibers. Their manufacture and further processing is technically complex due to their inherent rigidity and therefore also expensive. The action of such stiff thread-like materials in textile knitted fabrics presents problems, which become greater the higher the proportion of these materials in the entire textile product.
Another property of these known materials, which is considered a serious disadvantage in various applications, is the hardness of the handle of the textile surfaces, which is felt to be cold and uncomfortable, and finally the reduced deformability, which makes it difficult to adapt the double knitted fabrics to three-dimensional structures and thus their use for Restrictions for cladding.
It has now surprisingly been found that the knitted spacer fabric described below can substantially improve the deformability, the feel of the textile surface and at the same time simplify and reduce the cost of production and facilitate disposal by recycling.
The present invention thus relates to a double-faced circular knitted fabric with two concentric knitted webs and an intermediate spacing structure, which is characterized in that it has, as spacer threads, optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns, optionally in combination with monofilaments, that the distance between the two knitted webs is 0.3 to 8 mm is that the mesh density corresponds to a machine pitch from E 16 to E 32 and that the density of the spacer threads is between 150 and 250 threads per cm².
The optionally textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarns contained in the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention have a yarn titer of 50 to 250 dtex, preferably from 100 to 200 dtex and a single titer of 5 to 100 dtex, preferably from 10 to 20 dtex.
The monofilaments contained in the double-faced circular knitwear have a titer of 20 to 150 dtex, preferably 70 to 110 dtex.
All yarns for the double-layer circular knitwear preferably consist of the same polymer material.
The double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention optionally contains textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn as spacer threads and, if appropriate, combined with these, monofilaments. The spacer construction can thus only have coarse-fibril multifilament yarn, in particular textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarn, or, which has certain advantages described below, a proportion of monofilaments side by side.
The double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention preferably has a right-left stitch structure.
The right-left mesh structure also includes their variants, such as plated, openwork, ribbed, offset, wave, catch, pimple and jacquard patterns.
A preferred double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention has a basis weight of 150 to 1400 g / m², preferably 200 to 500 g / m², and the vertical distance between its two knitted webs is 0.3 to 8 mm, preferably 4 to 6 mm.
Furthermore, a double-surface circular knitted fabric according to the invention is preferred, in which the knitted webs have a mesh density which corresponds to a machine division of E 18 to E 20.
The use or co-use of coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn, in particular textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn, in the spacing construction results in particular advantages in terms of significantly improved formability and a more pleasant feel, but also for the overall simpler production and cheapening of the material.
A particularly advantageous combination of rebound behavior and textile surface feel and formability results if 50 to 80% by weight, preferably 60 to 70% by weight of the spacer threads, if appropriate textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns and accordingly 20 to 50% by weight, preferably 30 to 40% by weight are monofilaments.
The arrangement of the optionally textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarns and the monofilaments in the spacing structure can be done in different ways. It is important that the monofilaments and any textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns are statistically evenly mixed and distributed over the area of the spacer fabric.
An expedient arrangement possibility is that the monofilaments and the possibly textured yarns are integrated or meshed next to each other in each row in the spacing structure.
Another useful arrangement possibility is that the optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns and the monofilaments follow one another alternately in the spacing structure.
A special stabilization against lateral shifting and collapse of the two knitted webs results if the spacer threads made of possibly textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarn and monofilaments alternate between the rows of stitches lying in one direction.
Advantageously, the spacer construction has a total thread density of 150 to 250, preferably 180 to 200 spacer threads per cm².
The monofilaments used as spacer threads expediently have a titer of 20 to 150 dtex, preferably from 70 to 110 dtex, the optionally textured coarse-fibril multifilament yarns used as spacer threads expediently have a yarn titer of 50 to 250 dtex, preferably from 100 to 200 dtex and a single titer of 5 to 100 dtex, preferably from 10 to 20 dtex.
Textured multifilament yarns that serve as spacer threads are air or false wire textured.
Figures 1 to 3 illustrate schematically and by way of example two embodiments of the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention.
Die Figur 1 zeigt schematisch eine zylindrisch geformte doppelflächige Rundstrickware, mit den beiden konzentrisch liegenden Gestrickbahnen (1) und (1') und den sie verbindenden, als Zickzacklinie angedeuteten Abstandshalterfäden (2).FIG. 1 shows schematically a cylindrical double-layer circular knitted fabric with the two concentrically located knitted webs (1) and (1 ') and the spacer threads (2) connecting them and indicated as a zigzag line.
In diesem Beispiel sind die Monofilamente und die texturierten Multifilamentgarne nebeneinander in jeder Reihe eingebunden oder vermascht.FIG. In this example, the monofilaments and the textured multifilament yarns are bound or meshed next to each other in each row.
In diesem Beispiel sind die Monofilamente und die texturierten Multifilamentgarne in jeder Maschenrichtung alternierend in das Gestrick eingebunden oder vermascht und es erfolgt eine Querstabilisierung durch die das Maschenstäbchen wechselnden Fäden (5).FIG. In this example, the monofilaments and the textured multifilament yarns are alternately bound or meshed in the knitting in each stitch direction and there is a transverse stabilization by the threads changing the wales (5).
The yarns of the two knitted fabrics and the monofilaments and, if necessary, textured Spacing construction yarns preferably consist of polyesters or polyolefins.
Besonders bevorzugt sind Polyester, die mindesten 95 mol% Ethylenterephthalat-Einheiten enthalten, insbesondere solche aus unmodifiziertem PET.In principle, all known types suitable for fiber production can be considered as polyester material. Such polyesters consist predominantly of building blocks which are derived from aromatic dicarboxylic acids and from aliphatic diols. Common aromatic dicarboxylic acid building blocks are the divalent residues of benzenedicarboxylic acids, especially terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid; Common diols have 2-4 carbon atoms, with ethylene glycol being particularly suitable. Modified polyesters preferably contain at least 85 mol% of ethylene terephthalate units. The remaining 15 mol% then build up from dicarboxylic acid units and glycol units, which act as so-called modifying agents and which allow the person skilled in the art to specifically influence the physical and chemical properties of the filaments produced. Examples of such dicarboxylic acid units are residues of isophthalic acid or of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid such as e.g. Glutaric acid, adipic acid, sebacic acid; Examples of modifying diol residues are those of longer-chain diols, e.g. of propanediol or butanediol, of di- or tri-ethylene glycol or, if present in small quantities, of polyglycol with a molecular weight of approximately 500-2000. Particularly preferred are polyesters which contain at least 95 mol% of ethylene terephthalate units, especially those made from unmodified PET.
The spacer fabrics according to the invention, made from such polyesters, in particular from polyethylene terephthalate, are not easily ignited. The flame retardant effect can be further enhanced by using flame retardant modified polyesters. Such flame-retardant modified polyesters are known. They contain additions of halogen compounds, in particular bromine compounds, or, which is particularly advantageous, they contain phosphorus compounds which are condensed into the polyester chain. Particularly preferred, flame-retardant spacer fabrics according to the invention contain monofilaments and yarns made of polyester, which in the chain are components of the formula
wherein R is alkylene or polymethylene with 2 to 6 C atoms or phenyl and R¹ is alkyl with 1 to 6 C atoms, aryl or aralkyl, contained in condensed form.
In the formula IR, ethylene and
The polyesters contained in the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention expediently have a molecular weight corresponding to an intrinsic viscosity (IV), measured in a solution of 1 g of polymer in 100 ml of dichloroacetic acid at 25 ° C., from 0.5 to 1.4.
Substituted polyolefins, in particular those substituted by chlorine or cyano groups, are also suitable as polyolefins from which the yarns of the double-layer circular knitted fabric according to the invention can be made. Examples of such polyolefin materials are polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride and polyacrylonitrile. Preferred polyolefin yarns are made of polypropylene.
Rund-Kuliergewirke."Circular knitwear" within the meaning of this invention is of course also to be understood as broad knitted tubes and such other knitted fabrics whose construction resembles a knitted fabric, such as Round knitted fabrics.
Another object of the present invention is a method for producing the double-surface circular knitwear described above, in which a double-surface circular knitwear is produced on the two needle contours of the cylinder and the dial of a circular knitting machine, in which the spacer threads alternately run back and forth between the two knitted webs and in each web can be integrated or meshed, which is characterized in that on the corresponding knitting systems the needles as spacer thread either textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns or optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarns are alternately fed with monofilaments.
The diagrams shown in FIGS. 4a and 4b illustrate, by way of example, the steps in the production of a double-layer circular knitted fabric according to the invention. The five groups (1; 2; 3; 4; 5) of short vertical lines (6; 7) lying one below the other in the figures symbolize the needles of five systems of the knitting machine, the one above the horizontal line Line group (6) the rib needles, the line group (7) below the horizontal line represent the cylinder needles.
The lines (8; 9) leading from needle to needle symbolize the thread path, a simple deflection (10) of the thread path on the needle means the thread in question, a loop (11) on the needle means a mesh. The lines (8) in this illustration are intended to run the spacer thread on the
In this example, the spacer thread on the fifth system is offset by a needle compared to the first system.
When using coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn as spacer threads, it is preferred to use textured yarns. They can be air or false wire textured.
The needles are preferably controlled so that a right-left structure is knitted in each of the tracks.
According to the preferred composition of the spacer structure described above, it is preferred if the yarn is fed in such a way that 50 to 80% by weight, preferably 60 to 70% by weight, of the spacer threads optionally textured coarse-fibrillated multifilament yarn and accordingly 20 to 50% by weight. %, preferably 30 to 40% by weight, are monofilaments.
If monofilaments and multifilament yarns are to be used next to each other as spacer threads, it is advisable, depending on the intended arrangement of the monofilaments and the possibly textured multifilament yarns in the spacing structure, to control the needle selection in such a way that spacer threads made of monofilaments and possibly textured multifilaments in Form rows lying side by side, or that spacer threads made of monofilaments and possibly textured multifilaments seen in the length direction follow one another alternately.
A special stabilization against lateral displacement and collapse of the two knitted fabrics results if the binding is controlled in such a way that spacer threads made of monofilaments and possibly textured multifilaments alternate between the stitch chains lying in the longitudinal direction.
As already stated above, the double-faced circular knitted fabric according to the invention has a very good deformability, a pleasant feel of the textile surface and can be disposed of by recycling, in particular if all fiber materials consist of the same polymer material, without any problems.
It can therefore be used with particular advantage for upholstering and cladding interiors, such as car interior linings or, especially if a flame-retardant modified polyester is used to manufacture the multifilament yarns and monofilaments, from airframes, express train compartments or public facilities.
